Compass 6.5" Handmade Blenko Stained Glass Appalachian Quilt Square in Shades of Pink and Purple, Blue Violet and Burgundy Window Hanging
This is a 6.5 inch handmade stained glass quilt square with a traditional compass quilt design that has been adapted for stained glass. The glass in this little quilt square was made by the Blenko Glass Company in West Virginia. The mouth-blown glass is created with old traditional techniques. The color palette in this beautiful quilt square is a monochromatic blend of purple, pink, burgundy and blue violet. These colors harmonize beautifully with the compass design.
Tiffany's copper foil technique was used to join the glass and the solder has a copper patina. The metal frame is copper plated. This is a very special piece, with the beautiful Blenko mouth-blown glass in it!
