The combination of wood and resin are a newer trend in handmade jewelry components. The lower part of the hoops in these earrings are natural wood and the upper part is a dark red resin. They are lightly varnished. Above the hoops, I teamed a wired section of matte brown glass beads and dark red faceted Czech glass beads. The beads match the hoops remarkably well. I'm glad I looked over my bead stash to find them!
The Czech beads give the earrings a hint of sparkle that will make them quite noticeable to onlookers. The earrings have sterling silver French style ear wires. Included are rubber clutches for a secure hold.
Despite being made partially of wood, these earrings are super lightweight making them comfortable to wear. They would make a lovely gift, too. Included is a brown organza pouch.
