Claddagh Dangle Earrings with Amethyst
- Celtic Fede Gift of Love  -

These lovely Claddagh earrings feature silver "crowned heart in hands" love charms, purple amethyst gemstones, green unakite, and Swarovski cystals. The charms, from TierraCast (made in the USA), are silver-on-pewter hoops with the Irish hands-and-heart symbol forming the lower center of the hoops. The charms are well detailed and nicely visible without being too heavy.

To ornament these charms, I drew on my experiences visiting Ireland, remembering time spent exploring the Irish countryside amid the purple heather and rich green of late summer. To represent the first, I used faceted amethyst beads; for the greenery, I decided on unakite, which has variegated green coloring along with salmon touches and mineral nodules. The meaning of this gemstone—unity—influenced my choice.

Also included with these earrings are Swarovski sparkling bicone crystals, sterling spacer beads (made in Italy), rhodium-on-pewter knobbed spacer beads (made in USA), and sterling silver ear hooks. The length here is 2 inches, including the hooks.

These pretty and meaningful Celtic love earrings would make a perfect gift of love for a mother, grandmother, wife, or girlfriend. Anyone who loves Ireland would also find them special. They were handmade by me with care, thought, and best wishes for their destined wearer. They come in a nice organza bag, wrapped and ready for gifting!

About the Claddagh
This Irish symbol originated in the Claddagh area of Galway, at one time a separate village from the city. The symbol was traditionally used in Ireland to embellish "fede" rings, which date back to ancient Rome and were common in Europe after the Dark Ages. Fede rings typically include the image of joined hands, a symbol of love's pledge and loyalty. Like most rings of this kind, the Claddagh served as an engagement ring or a wedding band—and still does. Today the symbol is also used in various kinds of jewelry and may express friendship or maternal love as well as romantic love. As for the image of the symbol, the Claddagh depicts two hands holding a regally crowned heart; the hands represent friendship, with the crown standing for loyalty atop a loving heart. Among the sentiments connected with the Claddagh is the saying "Let love and friendship reign."

About Unakite & Amethyst
Unakite is traditionally considered a healing gem of positive connection and energy. It is also seen as a stone of connection and unity, which dovetails with the meaning of the Claddagh charms. The term "epidote" comes from the Greek "epidosis," which means "growing together." It is associated with the heart chakra.

A member of the quartz family, amethyst is often considered a protective, talismanic stone. It is associated with the crown chakra and is the birthstone for February. Amethysts are crystals and often have inclusions, clouding, and other interesting elements to them, as well as various shadings of their distinctive purple color.

Amber is deep and imbedded with memories of times past.  Reminiscent of amber, here is a handmade dichroic glass jewelry set with shimmering amber depths and black inclusions!  Like long ago memories, this mysterious jewelry set sparkles with a deep intrigue.  The black based fused glass is layered with rich sparkling golden amber dichroic glass.  There are streamers and streaks of black embedded in the depths of the glass.  A clear layer has been fused to the top of the cabochons to protect the dichroic layer and create a beautiful lens effect.  The glass has been fully fused at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit to create absolutely beautiful cabochons.
The pendant is a long oval with a black base, gold filigree edges and amazing  top layers of brilliant amber, coppery dichroic glass!  The pendant is hung from a gold plated heart bail.
The oval dangle earrings mirror the beauty of the pendant and are hung from gold plated bails and good quality gold filled ear wires.
The pendant measures .5 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall, including the gold plated heart bail. The earrings are about .5 inches wide by 1.25 inches long, including the ear wires. Red Roses White Hearts Earrings, Valentines Enamel Handmade Jewelry

The "Romance" handmade earrings feature artisan created enamel hearts and roses charms and faceted red coral.

The exquisite ROMANCE earrings have everything it takes to make these a special handmade Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or birthday jewelry gift: white enamel hearts with words and a single red rose on each, complemented with faceted red coral. The hearts, which are artisan handmade, started out as copper blanks. Then enamel glass powder in the various colors was fused to the copper using a high temperature butane torch. Shiny white enamel glass powder was fused onto the front of copper hearts then a stencil and brown enamel glass was used to to create the line of words (French? Latin?). A rich red rose with green leaves and stems were then free hand fused on top. Since the roses were created free hand, you can see that they are very similar but not exactly the same. The back of the charms are enameled in black. Despite their larger size, the one of a kind hearts and roses earrings are lightweight to wear.

Since the heart charms are the main focal of the earrings, simple red coral rounds were stacked above the hearts, capped on the top and bottom with copper bicone beads to add lovely texture and glow. The red coral is faceted and adds subtle sparkle to the earrings with each movement of the head when worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bicone accents finish the unique earrings. Hand Knit Scarf Cranberry Black

I hand knit this cranberry black scarf using a soft, 78 % acrylic and 22% wool, yarn in the colorway cranberry black. The measurements are 61 inches long and 7.5 inches wide.

The knit pattern used is called a “flag”. It just alternates knit and purl rows with increases and decreases in the amount of each stitch.

Grab this cranberry black scarf on your way to a football game or another outdoor sporting event. You can let the scarf hang loosely around your neck or you can wrap it around the neck for added warmth.

Teal with encased silver dichroic handmade large hole lampwork glass slider bracelet charm bead

This is a beautiful dichroic lampwork glass bead. It has a large hole big enough to fit over my European style bracelet. This handmade bead is made with a base of transparent teal with silver dichroic layered on it. You can still see the gorgeous teal base. I added a layer of transparent clear to enhance the brilliance of the bead. It has a lot of glisten and sparkle that pops in the sunshine that the photos haven't been able to capture.

Each bead has been slipped onto my personal Pandora bracelet for fitting. My lampwork glass charm beads have about a 4.6 to 5mm hole so they will fit most chains, nylon, silk, ribbon, rubber and leather cords. Add them to a black leather necklace for a quick and easy way to expand your jewelry collection for instant new accessories and styles.

Handmade lampwork beads and glass charms created by me, Covergirlbeads glass artist, Charlotte Hayes. I make them one at a time in my studio, digitally kiln anneal them for strength and durability and clean them using a dremel. They are unique beads made in the USA and made in Texas.

Carved Jade Moth Necklace, Fire Agate Gemstone Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Determination" handmade necklace features a two sided carved jade moth pendant, speckled fire agate and small bone discs. 

Since the moth is considered a symbol of determination as it constantly tries to find light in any darkness, I just had to name this exquisite necklace DETERMINATION! A perfect gift for the woman who loves to wear bold jewelry, the unique necklace features a large, two sided jade moth pendant, spotted fire agate gemstones and white bone discs. The beautiful cut out moth pendant was delicately hand carved on both sides from jade - just look at the detail of the moth’s body, wings and the intricate detailing around the cut out areas! Since the pendant was hand carved, you can see that the right and left side of the pendant is not quite a mirror image, very similar but not exact. The jade pendant is a subtle creamy yellowish color ranging from very pale to darker with a hint of light rusty orange in places and speckles of black here and there. Because the pendant is two sided, you can decide which is your favorite side and wear it facing out. An eye catching lead free pewter bail with sacred spiral designs and a small dome at the top connects the pendant to the main body of the one of a kind necklace.

To perfectly complement the colors of the pendant, speckled fire agate and small bones discs were used. The speckled fire agate ranges in color from a rich root beer brown to almost black, each bead having various amounts of white dots and splotches. Some of the gemstones are translucent and seem to glow in good light; some of the agate is more opaque. Because the fire agate is faceted, the necklace catches the light and sparkles with every move. To play up the speckles and to give the necklace a sinuous feel, small white bone discs and sterling silver beads can be found between each piece of agate. The first seven at the front of the necklace ae separated by a single disc while the stones at the back are separated by three discs. A gorgeous sterling silver hammered hook clasp set finishes the necklace perfectly. "We Rise" Boho Statement Necklace

Big and bold with a vibrant, eye catching color, the MERMAID’S DREAM handmade orange coral statement necklace is sure to please the woman who loves chunky, one of a kind jewelry. The beautiful necklace features rustic orange sponge coral drums that weren’t carved and polished smooth. Instead, as you can see in the photos, each individual drum is filled with natural color variations and many crannies and pits that are typical to coral, adding tremendous texture to the necklace design. Despite the rustic look, the coral drums are buffed to a lovely glow, a fun juxtaposition between the rustic and polished areas. The coral drums are slightly graduated, the larger pieces found in the front and the smaller to the back of the necklace.

The orange sponge coral drums show a variation of color and have natural pits and crannies for amazing texture.

To perfectly complement the warm color of the orange coral, gleaming copper beads and daisy spacers separate each drum. A copper daisy spacers snugs each end of the coral and a 3 mm copper bead was put in the middle. Such a rich look! To finish the necklace, a copper teardrop shaped toggle clasp set was used. Unique organic handmade lampwork beads with ivory glass, tranparent light emerald green band and wrapped in fine silver
These unique organic handmade glass beads are so gorgeous. They were made using using ivory glass. I added a rich transparent light emerald green band around the middle and wrapped .999 fine silver around them. They have a shiny glass bead finish.
