The earthy necklace features an exquisitely glittering druzy agate pendant. Faceted brown fire agate, red garnet and sterling silver complement the druzy pendant perfectly. What is druzy? Druzy (or druse) refers to a coating of fine crystals over the surface of a rock cavity, usually within a geode or something similar. The druzy agate gemstone pendant is teardrop shaped and has a cavity running up the right side. The face of the pendant is absolutely covered in breathtaking, off-white crystals, looking as if someone sprinkled a thick layer of fine sugar crystals on it. And do the crystals sparkle and sparkle and then sparkle some more, shifting as the angle of light changes. The back of the pendant is smooth with the lovely natural pattern of the agate mother rock.  Adding glamor to the design and highlighting the pendant perfectly are faceted fire agate rounds and red garnet heishe along with sterling silver. A type of banded chalcedony that is famous for its intricate patterns, the colors of the fire agate range from black to root beer brown to pale beige.  Many of the stones are translucent and seem to capture the light.  In between each grouping of agates are three hand cut red garnet heishe. Lotus Bud Necklace, Vintage Thai Silver Pearls Garnet Handmade Jewelry

The LOTUS BUD handmade necklace features a vintage Thai silver lotus bud amulet, peacock Keshi pearls and red garnet - unique yoga jewelry for women.

Filled with a hefty dose of sublime beauty, the LOTUS BUD handmade necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who practices yoga, meditates or just loves one of a kind jewelry. The meaningful necklace features a vintage Thai silver lotus bud pendant along with rainbow Keshi pearls, red garnet and sterling silver. The beautiful vintage amulet pendant, which is at least 40 years old, was crafted from fine silver by an artisan in Thailand. The raised design is of a lotus bud in an urn along with draping leaves, probably banana leaves. A rope design runs along the edge of the pendant. In Thailand, the lotus is a sacred flower and is a symbol of purity, faithfulness and spiritual awakening.  To perfectly complement the pendant, exquisite Keshi pearls and red garnet were used. Keshi pearls are natural, non-nucleated pearls and are normally found with an irregular shape. The Keshi pearls used in the necklace are absolutely stunning with their glowing peacock coloration of mainly shades of purples, greens, burgundy, and bronzes, often shifting color as the angle of the light changes. Except for the very beginning of the necklace on either side of the lotus bud amulet, the pearls are in groups of three. Between each Keshi pearl grouping is a group of natural garnet heishe in a rich dark red color. The heishe is hand cut so each piece is similar in size but not exactly the same. Small sterling silver beads separate the pearls from the garnet, adding bits of silver sheen to the necklace design. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind LOTUS BUD necklace was created for the woman who loves meaningful, artisan designed jewelry.

A 3 mm sterling silver bead is found on each side of the discs. Three groups of five black onyx discs finish the back of the necklace, each group separated by a sterling bead. Viking Horse Necklace, Sleipnir Scrimshaw Onyx Norse Handmade Jewelry

The unique "Sleipnir" horse necklace features a Viking inspired polymer clay horse head pendant, black onyx discs and sterling silver - one of a kid jewelry for women.

Perfect jewelry for the woman who loves horses and has more than a bit of Viking shield maiden in her, the SLEIPNIR handmade pendant necklace will surely draw attention whenever it is worn. The one of a kind necklace features a fiercely regal looking, artisan polymer clay horse head pendant, black onyx discs and sterling silver. The unique necklace is named after the eight-legged, stormy gray horse that the Norse god Odin always rode into battle.  Odin and Sleipnir also made frequent journeys through the Nine Worlds which were held in the branches and roots of the world-tree, Yggdrasil. The horse head pendant was hand sculpted from off white polymer clay to mimic carved bone scrimshaw.  To bring out the amazing details of the fierce face of the horse and his mane covered arched neck, a slate gray paint was added and then quickly rubbed off, leaving the paint in the recessed areas. A bit of light brown paint was added to "age" the pendant even more. The back of the pendant has a unique dragonscale design. Two heavy duty sterling silver jump rings secure the pendant to the main body of the necklace.  To perfectly complement the horse head pendant, two sizes of glossy black onyx discs were used. Five groups of three larger discs are found at the front of the necklace, each group separated by a 3 mm sterling silver bead. A fancy sterling silver melon bead separates the larger onyx discs from the smaller ones at the back. Groupings of the smaller discs are found on each side of the necklace, also separated by sterling silver beads. Since the black onyx discs were hand cut, they are very similar in size and shape but there are also some slight variations. The necklace is finished with a sleek sterling silver toggle clasp set. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique SLEIPNIR horse pendant necklace will be a wonderful gift for the woman who loves Viking mythology and regal horses.

Inca Cross Necklace, Leopardite Jasper Pearls Chakana Handmade Jewelry

The "Chakana" pedant necklace features a leopardite jasper Inca cross, pearls and copper - meaningful gift for women.

The CHAKANA cross pendant necklace is a meaningful jewelry gift for the woman who adores unique crosses. The handmade necklace features a spotted leopardite gemstone Inca cross, glowing brown freshwater pearls and copper. The Inca cross (also called a chakana) is a stepped cross made up of equal arms indicating the cardinal points of the compass and a superimposed square creating twelve corners. Used by Andean cultures from as far back as 600 BC, the chakana was worn as a talisman, as jewelry, woven in textile designs and used as architectural designs. The Spaniards quickly co-opted the Inca cross and it used to help convert the indigenous people to Christianity. The Inca cross (which I bought in Cuzco, Peru, many years ago) is carved from leopardite jasper, a gemstone with natural leopard-like spots. The base stone is usually a light beige color with darker brown or grayish spots. As you can see in the photos, the chakana is two-sided with a unique spotted design on both sides.  To perfectly compliment the colors of the Inca cross, glowing copper brown freshwater pearls were used. The colors shade from a rich, dark copper brown to a lighter golden copper brown with a high sheen. Since the pearls are freshwater, they are not perfectly round as the photos show. Most are somewhat oblong while some have ridges and bumps, normal for freshwater pearls and adds great texture to the overall design.  A copper s-clasp set with raised granulation on both sides securely finishes the necklace. The unique "Arburu de Vita" handmade necklace features a handmade Tree of Life pendant and faceted rose quartz nuggets - symbolic jewelry for women.

Stunning with its artisan handmade, hand painted tree of life pendant and faceted pink rose quartz nugget gemstones, the one of a kind ARBURU DE VITA necklace is a beauty you’ll want to wear over and over again. The eye catching necklace features a rustic pendant created from off-white polymer clay. Borrowing on an ancient symbol found through the history of mankind, a Tree of Life design with leaves and a spiral shaped root is raised against the background. Added above the tree is a hand formed rayed sun. Hand painted in rich colors of aqua turquoise, pink, lavender, purple and bits of brown, the colors settled into the recessed areas and the “cracks.” To add a rustic vibe, the Tree of Life pendant was lightly sanded with fine grit sandpaper on the tree and around the edges to let bits of the off-white base clay to show through. The back is also painted. To perfectly complement the Tree of Life pendant, faceted rose quartz nuggets were used. The colors shade from a pale pastel pink to a medium pink; some nuggets are translucent while some nuggets are opaque. For the most part, the nuggets are longer than wider, and, since they were hand cut, each nugget is different, adding wonderful texture to the necklace. Because the rose quartz nuggets are faceted, unexpected sparkle is added at each movement when the necklace is worn. So the necklace drapes beautifully when worn, each nugget is separated from its neighbor by a small sterling silver bead adding bits of silver glow. A sleek sterling silver toggle clasp set finishes the design. Pumice Lava Rock Necklace, Wood Turquoise Magnesite Handmade Jewelry

The "Sueños de la Tierra" handmade necklace features creamy pumice lava rock tubes, wooden beads and turquoise magnesite - unique jewelry gift for women.

The unique SUEÑOS DE LA TIERRA handmade necklace has such a beautifully neutral color scheme that you will be able to wear it with a wide range of outfits - pale colors of the desert with bits of blue representing the sky. The one of a kind necklace features creamy white “lava” rock pumice tubes, earthy wooden beads and turquoise magnesite discs along with a liberal sprinkling of copper. Since real lava rock only comes in black and brown, the lovely tubes used in the necklace is actually pumice, another type of volcanic stone.  Lava rock is a trade name for both. Pumice is created when super heated rock is ejected from a volcanic eruption and, due to rapid cooling once the rock hits the air, small gas bubbles are trapped. As you can see in the photos, the pumice tubes are filled with tiny holes, which also makes the stones very light in weight. Pumice can be quite rough on the skin, but these tubes have been ground to a silky smoothness so there are no worries about irritation when the necklace is worn. Thirteen creamy white pumice tubes were used, all with a copper daisy spacer at each side to separate them from the rest of the beads.  A pale brown wooden bead and a bright blue turquoise magnesite disc is found between each pumice tube. The wooden beads add an earthiness to the necklace design, especially since many have natural stripes. The permanently dyed turquoise magnesite discs add a pop of unexpected, fun color to the design. The back of the necklace is finished with three wooden beads and three turquoise magnesite discs interspersed with copper beads and spacers. A pure copper hook clasp set with a raised dot design securely fastens the necklace. Many cities and towns in the Desert Southwest have an “old town” section dominated by a beautiful adobe church that exudes sacredness and history: Santa Fe, Tucson, El Paso, Albuquerque, Las Cruces - the list goes on. The beautifully rustic pendant featured on the SAGRADA handmade necklace is reminiscent of those memorable churches. The Southwest inspired artisan pendant was created from reddish-brown terracotta ceramic. A lovely matte turquoise wash was added that allows areas of the earthy terracotta to show through giving an ancient, distressed look. The original artisan design of a church with two crosses and clouds above was impressed into the clay giving great texture to the not quite rectangular pendant. The back of the pendant is unglazed and can be used as an aromatherapy diffuser - carefully dab a drop or two of essential onto the back and the scent will be released for hours. To perfectly highlight the colors of the terracotta church pendant, two shapes and sizes of glowing orange carnelian were used along with small turquoise Czech glass beads. The larger and darker carnelian beads are more roundish nugget shaped, each just a bit different, adding a rustic flare. They are a rich dark orange color with some streaks of lighter and darker orange. Seven of these are found on each side of the necklace. Separating the nuggets are hand cut carnelian discs in a lighter orange shade. Since the discs are hand cut, they are very similar in size and shape but also are a bit different. Four discs separate the rounds along with small copper beads. For added Southwest color, a single ridged turquoise Czech glass lantern bead is found in the middle of each set of discs, separated by small copper beads. A sleek pure copper toggle clasp set finishes the necklace securely. The MEDITATION Shakyamuni Buddha pendant necklace is perfect for the woman who meditates, takes yoga or just loves one of a kind jewelry. The meaningful, one of a kind necklace features a rustic brass Shakyamuni Buddha pendant, earthy matte tube beads, old world striped seed beads and copper. The peaceful looking Fair Trade Buddha pendant was artisan handmade from brass in a small village in Thailand. The brass was darkened and then given a rich seafoam blue green patina to bring out the incredible detail of the meditating Buddha, the platform he sits on and the curved leafed arch around him. It was then polished so that the raised areas glow with the rich color of the shiny brass. The pendant is two sided with the Buddha is on the front side. On the back, which has a dark patina, is an inscribed Buddhist unalome, a symbol that represents the path to enlightenment.  To perfectly highlight the Buddha pendant, Czech glass tubes and striped beads were used to provide even more rustic charm. The matte finish tube beads are a great mix of earthy colors including various shades of green, dark brown and mustard yellow. To create an aged look to the beads, a mottled medium brown Picasso finish was added. Between each tube beads are found shiny Czech glass seed beads with an old word Picasso finish to mimic antique trade beads from hundreds of years ago. Most have stripes, but not all. Small copper beads separate each bead and add a lovely glow. A copper toggle clasp with a patina finishes the necklace securely.
