The unique raised sun charms were made on the Greek island of Mykonos, cast by artisans there. The metal is lead and nickel free, plated in copper and then given a gorgeous turquoise blue green patina. The charms were then hand buffed to bring out the beauty of the raised rays of the sun design. The back of each charm is finished with a dark patina.  Perfectly complementing the sun charms are Czech glass beads. The first are rondelles in an eye catching milky opal aqua blue glass with a earthy brown Picasso bringing out the ridges on each end. The beads are faceted around the middle for subtle sparkle. Because they are translucent, the beads absolutely glow when worn. Stacked above them, separated by a single copper disc spacer, are cheery sunflower yellow Czech glass rondelles. Also faceted and translucent, they add unexpected sunny color to the overall earrings design. Southwest Church Cross Necklace, Terracotta Carnelian Handmade Jewelry

The meaningful "Sagrada" handmade necklace features an artisan terracotta church with crosses pendant, carnelian in two shapes and sizes and turquoise Czech glass lantern beads - unique Southwest jewelry for women.

Many cities and towns in the Desert Southwest have an “old town” section dominated by a beautiful adobe church that exudes sacredness and history: Santa Fe, Tucson, El Paso, Albuquerque, Las Cruces - the list goes on. The beautifully rustic pendant featured on the SAGRADA handmade necklace is reminiscent of those memorable churches. The Southwest inspired artisan pendant was created from reddish-brown terracotta ceramic. A lovely matte turquoise wash was added that allows areas of the earthy terracotta to show through giving an ancient, distressed look. The original artisan design of a church with two crosses and clouds above was impressed into the clay giving great texture to the not quite rectangular pendant. The back of the pendant is unglazed and can be used as an aromatherapy diffuser - carefully dab a drop or two of essential onto the back and the scent will be released for hours. To perfectly highlight the colors of the terracotta church pendant, two shapes and sizes of glowing orange carnelian were used along with small turquoise Czech glass beads. The larger and darker carnelian beads are more roundish nugget shaped, each just a bit different, adding a rustic flare. They are a rich dark orange color with some streaks of lighter and darker orange. Seven of these are found on each side of the necklace. Separating the nuggets are hand cut carnelian discs in a lighter orange shade. Since the discs are hand cut, they are very similar in size and shape but also are a bit different. Four discs separate the rounds along with small copper beads. For added Southwest color, a single ridged turquoise Czech glass lantern bead is found in the middle of each set of discs, separated by small copper beads. A sleek pure copper toggle clasp set finishes the necklace securely. Chunky Heart Flowers Necklace, Copal Turquoise Brass Handmade Jewelry

The "Mon Coeur" handmade necklace features a vintage brass heart and flowers pendant, rich copal rondelles and vintage hand cut turquoise nuggets - bold jewelry for women.

Filled with beautiful chunky goodness, the one of a kind MON COEUR necklace is perfect for a woman who loves to wear bold statement jewelry. The eye catching necklace features a vintage brass heart with flowers pendant, gorgeous copal rondelles, old rustic turquoise and copper. The pendant was made in India out of solid brass and was used for trade in Africa - it was collected in Ghana. A cut-out heart shape, the pendant also includes three five petalled flowers and three swirling leafy vines. The raised areas are polished while the recessed areas have a darker patina to bring out the details of the pendant. The cut out design of the pendant allows whatever color clothing you’re wearing to show through, adding unexpected glamor. A decorative bail attaches the pendant to the main body of the necklace. The back of the pendant is silky smooth.  To perfectly complement the pendant, pressed copal and rustic turquoise were chosen. Even though the copal used in the necklace has an amber look to it, it is NOT amber (unfortunately copal is sometimes passed off as being real amber). Amber is fossilized tree resin and is millions of years old. Copal is also tree resin, but it hasn’t gone through the fossilization process and can be as “young” as thousands of years old. Pressed copal means it was melted down and reformed (pressed) into beads of the same size. The pressed copal rondelles used in the necklace are a rich butterscotch yellow with more than a hint of orange. Five groups of three copal rondelles are found on each side of the necklace, each rondelles separated by a glowing flower-shaped copper spacer. To add sinuous drape and pops of color between each grouping of copal, vintage turquoise were used. Since each bead of the old turquoise was individually hand formed, the beads are similar in size but not exactly the same. Some of the turquoise have dark matrix running through the beads and some don’t. To securely fasten the necklace, it’s finished with a textured solid copper toggle clasp. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the MON COEUR heart pendant necklace was created for the woman who loves bold artisan jewelry with a story! “Mon coeur” is French for “my heart.”

Indian Head Coin Earrings, Antique Copper Turquoise Handmade Jewelry

 

The "Pretty Pennies" handmade earrings feature antique Indian Head copper pennies, coral orange czech glass discs and genuine turquoise - unique jewelry for the woman who loves old coins.

Created from authentic Indian Head copper pennies from over 100 years ago, the fun, one of a kind PRETTY PENNIES earrings are perfect for the woman who collects coins, who wants to own a bit of numismatic history or just loves unique handmade jewelry! The earrings feature two sided Indian Head pennies (also called an Indian Head cent), one dated 1893 and one the other is from 1901. The copper coins were lightly polished to bring out the fabulous detail on both the front and the back.  As you can see from the photos, there is some wear on the pennies, a few dings and scratches that’s not unusual from pennies that date that far back.  To add an unexpected pop of rich color, two coral orange Czech glass discs are stacked above each penny. Since the discs have a silver metallic wash, they shimmer in the light. A genuine turquoise rondelle was added on top, separated from the coral discs by a copper spacer. The blue turquoise has a bit of pale beige matrix. A 3 mm copper bead caps everything. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finishes the earrings perfectly. Feather Moon Star Earrings, Boho Turquoise Purple Handmade Jewelry

Created from long, colorful feather shaped polymer clay dangles, one with a moon and one with a star, these boho inspired handmade earrings just had to be named CELESTIAL FEATHERS. Designed with lightweight feather drops, premium Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals, the one of a kind earrings will feed your inner gypsy. The feather dangles were individual artisan handmade from white polymer clay with a moon, a star, dots and lines impressed into the clay. The feathers were hand painted with a background of a greenish-blue turquoise polymer clay ink. Then more inks in shades of grass green, pale green, purple and fuchsia pink were brushed on creating two mini watercolor look paintings - art for the ears!  As you can see, the feathers are each one of a kind. The backs of the feathers are smooth and painted with turquoise inks. Copper wire wraps the top of the feathers. Because the feathers are made from polymer clay, the earrings are VERY lightweight to wear.

To perfectly complement the colorful feathers, premium quality Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals top the feathers. The color of the Czech roller beads is called “royalty with their mix of blue, purple and green translucent glass with a shiny fire polished finish and facets. They have a metallic silver finish with a bit of the silver here and here on the exterior for a rustic look. The roller beads absolutely glow when the earrings are worn and have a single sparkle because of the faceting. To add mega sparkle, a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone sits on top of each roller bead, separated by a copper daisy spacer. The color of the crystals is called “medium vitrail.” A permanent multicolor foil was added to half of the faceted bicone. As the light travels through the crystal and strikes the foil, a breathtaking rainbow of colors can be seen: greens, purples, pinks, blues and golds. A single copper bead tops each crystal. Sterling silver French hook earwires with the addition of a small “medium vitrail” crystal finishes the unique earrings. Colorful Boho Teardrop Earrings, Lightweight Handmade Artisan Jewelry

The "Boema" boho style earrings were created from artisan handmade polymer clay teardrops and aqua blue faceted Czech glass beads - unique jewelry gift for women.

Filled with impeccable eye catching color, the BOEMA handmade earrings are perfect jewelry to wear when you want to flaunt your boho side. Very lightweight to wear, the earrings feature artisan made teardrop shaped polymer clay dangles, faceted aqua Czech glass beads, copper and sterling silver. The dangles were individually created from white polymer clay. They were cut into a teardrop shape, hand colored, etched and then baked for hardness and strength. As you can see, the rich colors fade into each other on a base of sunny yellow: turquoise blue to a dark lavender purple to a sunset pink with the yellow at the top, on the sides and on the back. The etched design, which highlights the white polymer clay, is whimsical with rays coming out from the bead hole and decorated with cross hatches dots and squiggles. The back of the teardrops are smooth and are a sunny yellow color. Since the teardrops were individually handmade, they are very similar in design but not exactly the same.  To perfectly complement the colorful teardrops and to add subtle sparkle to the overall design, two aqua blue Czech glass rondelles are stacked above. The gorgeous glass is translucent and positively glows when the earrings are worn. They are coated in a metallic golden Picasso finish which adds even more shine. Full of vibrant, fun-filled color, the MACCHIE handmade earrings are perfect jewelry accessories to wear with almost anything in your wardrobe, from dress up to dress down. The one of a kind earrings are on the smaller side and feature artisan made dotted lampwork glass beads, dark purple Czech glass beads, pewter bead caps and sterling silver. The lampwork beads started out as opaque white glass. While still in the molten stage, multi-colored frit was added causing vivid dots to form randomly across the white glass. As you can see the colors of the spots are primarily various shades of aqua blues, turquoise, lime green, purple, orange, red and pink. Since the dots form randomly, you can see that the lampwork beads are similar but are also different, each a unique work of art. The photos show many different angles of the earrings so you can get a good idea of the array of spots. To add an old silver gleam, pewter bead caps with a leaf design hug the top and bottom of the lampwork beads.  To perfectly complement the lampwork glass beads, and to highlight the lavender and purple dots, rustic translucent Czech glass druk beads were used. These beads are a deep purple glass with a purple wash to add richness. Rustic Owl Earrings, Black Turquoise Blue Swarovski Handmade Jewelry

The "Twilight Owls" handmade earrings feature two sided, rustic Czech glass owl beads, aquamarine shimmer Swarovski crystals and sterling silver - unique bird earrings for women.

With their rustic, worn look, the TWILIGHT OWLS handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for a woman who is a birder or who just loves the majesty and beauty of owls. The one of a kind beauties feature rustic, two sided Czech glass coin beads created with a whimsical owl design and light blue Swarovski crystals. The coin-shaped owl beads, made in small batches in the Czech Republic, started out as opaque black base glass with an owl impressed into each side. A Picasso finish of mossy lichen colors was applied and then a turquoise blue wash was added. The blue wash settled into the recessed areas and “cracks” to highlight the details of the owl design, each side of the bead being a bit different. Since the owl beads are two sided, the earrings look charming from any angle when worn.  To perfectly complement the owl design and to add mega sparkle, faceted Swarovski crystal bicones were added to the top of the owl beads, separated by a small sterling silver bead. Vintage Flower Pendant Amber Necklace, Turquoise Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Flower and Sunshine" handmade necklace features a vintage brass flower pendant, gorgeous amber and earthy turquoise - unique jewelry gift for her.

The big and bold FLOWER AND SUNSHINE handmade necklace is truly an eye catcher - a special piece of jewelry that seems to capture sunlight. Created with a unique vintage brass flower pendant focal, the one of a kind necklace also includes golden pyramid shaped pressed amber, turquoise and copper. The pendant was made in India out of solid brass and was used for trade in Africa (it was collected in Ghana). In the center of the glowing pendant is an encircled, multi-petaled flower raised against the background. It is surrounded by raised dots, adding wonderful texture to the pendant design. The raised areas are polished while the recessed areas have a darker patina to bring out the lovely details of the pendant. The back of the pendant is smooth and  slightly concave.  

The pressed amber making up the main body of the necklace is real amber, but not natural amber since it was melted and then pressed (reformed) into unique pyramid shaped beads, flat on the bottom and pointed at the top with three sides. Two colors of translucent amber were used: the majority is a glowing golden color but flecks here and there of a dark brown amber were also included. Air bubbles were injected when the amber was still warm; once the amber solidified, the bubbles were trapped. Because of the bubbles, the pressed amber glistens as the light refracts when passing through each piece. There is a constant sparkle as the angle of the light changes, each piece of amber is different with the amount and placement of the air bubbles. To perfectly highlight the amber, genuine turquoise rondelles were placed between each piece of amber. The earthy colors of the turquoise range from a turquoise blue through greens, beiges and dark brown, many rondelles having more than one color. A patterned copper toggle clasp securely fastens the necklace. The handmade FLOWER POWER boho earrings are a meaningful handmade jewelry gift for the woman who loves flowers and the beauty of mandalas.  The one of a kind earrings feature artisan created copper flower and mandala design charms, glowing red saturn beads and tri-cut faceted turquoise glass beads.  The literal meaning of the word “mandala” is “circle” and it is a symbol for creativity, a powerful existence and a deeper connection with the self and universe. Individually artisan handmade from start to finish, the round dangles are pure copper and have a warm “torched” patina.  A delicate six petaled flower with an intricate mandala design adds a somewhat mystical vibe.  The mandala flowers are raised against the background, providing wonderful texture.  To add a punch of eye catching color to the gorgeous earrings, two colors and shapes of Czech glass beads were used.  Just above each flower mandala charm is a gleaming red glass saturn saucer beads.  The beads were made in the Czech Republic from rich red translucent glass with an earthy Picasso finish.  The raised middle of the saturn beads were crisp faceted and and positively glow when backlit.  Just above each saturn bead, separated by thin copper spacers, is a bright turquoise bead.  With a slight silver Picasso finish, these beads are tri-cut with 3 large facets each, adding subtle sparkle to the earrings.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the FLOWER POWER earrings were created for the woman who adores wearing unique boho earrings combining the cheerfulness of flowers with the spiritual meaning of mandalas.
