With their rustic, worn look, the TWILIGHT OWLS handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for a woman who is a birder or who just loves the majesty and beauty of owls. The one of a kind beauties feature rustic, two sided Czech glass coin beads created with a whimsical owl design and light blue Swarovski crystals. The coin-shaped owl beads, made in small batches in the Czech Republic, started out as opaque black base glass with an owl impressed into each side. A Picasso finish of mossy lichen colors was applied and then a turquoise blue wash was added. The blue wash settled into the recessed areas and “cracks” to highlight the details of the owl design, each side of the bead being a bit different. Since the owl beads are two sided, the earrings look charming from any angle when worn.  To perfectly complement the owl design and to add mega sparkle, faceted Swarovski crystal bicones were added to the top of the owl beads, separated by a small sterling silver bead. The color of the crystals is called “aquamarine shimmer.” The shimmer comes from a subtle iridescent finish that flashes pale purple, pinks and silver when the light hits the crystals just right.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the TWILIGHT OWLS owl earrings were created for the woman who loves to wear one of a kind artisan bird jewelry with a boho vintage look.

The unique "Ulchabhán" handmade earrings were created with rustic amber Czech glass owl beads with a turquoise blue Picasso finish and sparkling Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

With their glowing, rustic look, the ULCHABHÁN handmade dangle earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves unique owl jewelry. The whimsical, one of a kind beauties feature two sided Czech glass coin-shaped beads, Swarovski crystals and copper. The owl beads were made in the Czech Republic from rustic amber glass that positively glows (be sure to check out photos # 2 and # 7). While still in their molten state, an owl design was impressed into each side of the beads. To bring out the amazing details of the owls, a turquoise blue Picasso finish was applied and then polished off, leaving the blue finish in the recessed areas and the various “cracks” and “holes” that give an aged look to the beads. Because the owl beads are two sided, the earrings look charming from any angle.

To complement the owl coins perfectly and to add amazing sparkle, a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone was added to the top and bottom of each coin, separated by a glowing copper daisy spacer. Mimicking the rich indigo-blue of a variety of tourmaline, the crystal color is called “indicolite” and sparkles and flashes at each movement of the head when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the beauties. Fabulous jewelry for the woman who loves owls, the one of a kind SNOWY OWLS earrings are eye catching with a definite vintage feel. Created with artisan snowy owl charms and pink Swarovski crystals, the lightweight earrings are sure to become a favorite!  The owl dangles look as if they are vintage jewelry pieces, but they are “faux vintage,” made to look well-loved. The charms were individually hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper. A permanent metal transfer was applied and then the charms were sealed for years of wearing pleasure. The detailed image on each is a white snowy owl with a bit of pink rose peeping from behind against a peaceful blue background. Just look at the wisdom and majesty in the expression on the lovely owl’s face! Since the dangles were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add wonderful rustic, antique vibes. The back of the dangles is smooth, shiny copper which will gradually gain a patina over time. If you are looking for a pair of fun, trendy earrings that are . . . well . . . a real hoot, then the TURQUOISE HOOTIES owl earrings are perfect for you! The one of a kind, handmade earrings feature two sided, rustic looking turquoise and metallic gold Czech glass owl beads. To add sparkle, clear Czech glass crystals set in copper metal rondelles and colorful heliotrope Swarovski crystals were added. The fabulous owl beads were created with a base glass of turquoise blue and imprinted with a very detailed owl design of eyes, a beak and individual feathers. To bring out those details, the owls were coated with a metallic gold Picasso finish and then polished. The Picasso finish was left in the recessed areas while the turquoise glass was revealed in the higher areas. Since the owls beads are two sided, the earrings look great from any angle!  To add extreme sparkle to the unique earrings, two types of glittering crystals were used. Sitting on top of each owl’s head, like a crown, is a copper rondelle set with six clear Czech crystals. The crystals might be small, but, oh, do they ever sparkle!
