What a stylish and lightweight pair of earrings to wear! The one of a kind MAGNIFIQUE handmade earrings will definitely become your “go to” jewelry for spring and summer . . . and all the rest of the year. Created with artisan made, hand painted brass diamonds, sparkling Czech glass beads, copper and sterling silver, they are fun and flirty with a vintage look to them. The brass diamonds were hand cut, the edges filed to a silky smoothness and given a slight wavy ridged texture. Hand painted on both sides in a combination of aqua, gold and white, they look somewhat like a piece of modern splash art in the style of Jackson Pollock. To add a fantastic rustic look, the diamonds were very lightly sanded to let a bit of the brass show along the ridges. They were then sealed for many years of wearing joy. Because the diamonds are painted on both sides, the earrings look fabulous from any angle.  To perfectly complement the painted diamond dangles, eye catching Czech glass beads, made in the Czech Republic, were added above. The beads were created from clear glass and then coated with a metallic Picasso finish. The finish flashes a whole range of colors from aqua to green to golden with bits of blue and orange thrown in when the light hits them just right. The square beads are long faceted, creating v-shapes that allow the clear glass to show through for a unique 3-D effect. The photos don’t do justice to their beauty at all. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the MAGNIFIQUE, the well named earrings were created for the woman who loves unique artisan earrings that are eye-catching and lightweight to wear. “Magnifique” is French for “magnificent.”

Leaf Earrings, Boho Orange Red Purple Gold Lampwork Handmade Jewelry

The fiery "Autumn Flames" handmade boho earrings feature artisan polymer clay leaves, artisan lampwork glass beads and Swarovski crystals - gorgeous leaf jewelry for women.

Gorgeous in all their intense fall colors, the AUTUMN FLAMES one of a kind earrings imparts a colorful boho style. The beautiful jewelry was handmade with artisan leaves, artisan lampwork glass beads, copper and sterling silver. The eye-catching leaves were individually handmade from polymer clay, an artist's clay that is light in weight but very durable. The leaves have amazing ruffled detail and are narrower at the tops and wider at the somewhat wavy bottoms. Handpainted, the leaves are a fiery blend of orange, red and purple with metallic gold trim at the bottom and two curving lines of turquoise running from top to bottom. The back side of the leaves are painted with a metallic lavender purple color with subtle sparkles. To perfectly complement the colors of the leaves, lampwork glass beads and Swarovski crystals were stacked above. The lampwork beads were individually created from red glass with a dark blue/purple band around the middle. The finish is very high gloss so the beads have a wonderful shine. Separated by two flower shaped copper spacers, a sparkling dark purple faceted Swarovski crystal bicone sits on top of each lampwork bead. The color, called “purple velvet,” is a rich, regal shade of dark translucent purple. A small copper bead caps the Swarovski crystals. To add even more sparkle, a small purple velvet crystal was added to each sterling silver French hook earwire for a lovely finish to the design. *** What is dichroic glass? Dichroic glass (pronounced dye-crow-ick) is a type of glass that has amazing multi-colored, reflective properties, especially when viewed at different angles. Extreme color shifts can often be seen. NASA originally developed dichroic glass for use in satellite mirrors and it was also used on re-entry tiles of the Space Shuttles. Sheets of glass have a special coating applied to it that involves vaporizing various metal oxides into a fine dust with an electro-gun. The oxide dust settles on and coats hot glass inside an airless vacuum chamber. Needless to say, because of of the complex, expensive procedure, only a handful of companies produce dichroic glass for artists to use for their designs.

Trilobite Fossil Earrings, White Gold Swarovski Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Cambrian Chorus" handmade earrings feature Czech glass trilobite coins, Czech copper and crystal rondelles and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

What a FUN conversation starter the CAMBRIAN CHORUS trilobite earrings are, a perfect gift for the woman who loves fossils or just loves wearing unique jewelry! The unique handmade earrings are created with Czech glass trilobite imprinted coins, copper and Czech crystal rondelles and Swarovski crystals. The trilobite beads were created in the Czech Republic from semi-translucent white glass with a very, very pale lavender haze. The coins are two-sided with a pressed trilobite design on both sides. To bring out the incredible detail of the recessed trilobites, and to add a warm glow, a metallic golden Picasso finish was used. The finish settled into the recessed trilobites highlighting the eyes, the head, the axial lobe and other parts of the body. A mustard yellow and and medium brown Picasso finish is found on the edges of the glass coins. A bit about trilobites: One of the most successful of all early animals, trilobites flourished in the oceans for almost 300 million years, from the Early Cambrian period to the end of the Permian period. Their fossils can be found worldwide.  To add amazing sparkle to the trilobite earrings, Czech copper and crystal rondelles and Swarovski crystals were stacked above the glass coins. Sitting on the trilobite beads are copper rondelles set with six sparkling clear Czech crystals. These crystals might be small but they make up for that with their mighty glitter. Snugged into the top of each rondelle is a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in an exquisite color called “white opal.” These crystals have a translucent milky white color that has a lustrous sheen similar to opals.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the CAMBRIAN CHORUS trilobite earrings were created for the woman who adores wearing one of a kind designer jewelry.

The one of a kind, handmade earrings feature two sided, rustic looking turquoise and metallic gold Czech glass owl beads. To add sparkle, clear Czech glass crystals set in copper metal rondelles and colorful heliotrope Swarovski crystals were added. The fabulous owl beads were created with a base glass of turquoise blue and imprinted with a very detailed owl design of eyes, a beak and individual feathers. To bring out those details, the owls were coated with a metallic gold Picasso finish and then polished. The Picasso finish was left in the recessed areas while the turquoise glass was revealed in the higher areas. Since the owls beads are two sided, the earrings look great from any angle!  To add extreme sparkle to the unique earrings, two types of glittering crystals were used. Sitting on top of each owl’s head, like a crown, is a copper rondelle set with six clear Czech crystals. The crystals might be small, but, oh, do they ever sparkle! Nestled into the top of each rondelle is a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal bicones in an amazing color called “heliotrope”. These crystals have a special coating that causes them to flass many colors including blues, purples, pinks, gold and greens. When you pair a beautifully rustic pendant with sleek, earthy gemstones, you can’t help but to create visual goodness! The GOLD RUSH SPIRALS handmade necklace proves that. The one of a kind necklace features an artisan created pendant, fancy jasper ovals and freshwater pearls. As you can see in the photos, the rustic pendant is very unique, looking like an old artefact from times past. Created from off white polymer clay, the pendant features an eye catching textured design of sacred spirals, glittering gold flakes and a small, round cut out. Reminiscent of flakes of gold floating down a river filled with spiraling eddies and whirlpools, the pendant was carefully hand painted in pale mossy greens, dark mauve and dark browns above; the lower half was left the natural color, the spirals enhanced with brown. The gold flakes are painted in a reflective antique gold color which subtly catches the light and shines when the pendant is turned this way and that. The back is smooth with a pale wash of green and peach. To perfectly enhance the necklace, fancy jasper ovals and glowing freshwater pearls were used. Fancy jasper, a gorgeous semi-precious gemstone, is known for its rich, earthy color palette of mauves, lilacs, creams, browns and greens, sometimes all mixed together in the same stone. Eighteen glossy fancy jasper ovals were used, each oval separated by shiny freshwater pearls that are a pale mauve color, matching the mauves of the pendant. The luster of the pearls is exquisite - you can see my reflection in many of the pearls in the photos. Small copper beads separate the pearls from the jasper.
