Hieroglyph Earrings, Vintage Glass Snake Vertebrae Handmade Jewelry

The unique "Ancient Scribes" handmade earrings feature artisan Egyptian hieroglyph dangles, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads and sterling silver - one of a kind jewelry for women.

The ANCIENT SCRIBES handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves the wonder and mystery of Egyptian hieroglyphs. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan created pewter hieroglyph charms, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads and sterling silver. The lead free pewter dangles, individually hand cast, feature a different set of hieroglyphs on each charm. One dangle has, from top to bottom: an eye (which represents safety), a zigzag (represents water), two curved staffs (which represent folded cloth), a spiral (represents shelter) and an unidentified marking at the bottom. The other has: a sideways lotus bud (represents rebirth), a quail chick (represents the letter W which was a vowel sound) and a zigzag (represents water). The hieroglyph charms have a lovely antique, rustic look and aren’t the exact same shape. A bit wider on the bottom than at the top, they were given a patina to bring out the details of the hieroglyphs and then polished to look like heirloom silver. The back of the charms have a slightly grainy, darker finish. To add unexpected beauty to the design of the hieroglyph earrings, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads are stacked above the charms. Sometimes called zigzag beads, they get their more common name due to their resemblance to the interlocking vertebrae of snakes. Most vintage snake beads are Czech or French and were produced for African trade. The beads are at least 50+ years old and are colored coral orange and blue. For fun, two blue beads and one coral orange were stacked on one earring while the other has two coral orange and one blue bead. A 3 mm sterling silver bead nettles into the top of the upper vertebrae bead. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the eye catching earrings. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the ANCIENT SCRIBES handmade hieroglyphs earrings were created for the woman who adores wearing unique designer jewelry.

Faithful Dog Rescue Necklace, Pewter Jasper Red Coral Handmade Jewelry

The "Faithful" handmade necklace features a two sided pewter faithful dog pendant, red coral, Picasso jasper and sterling silver - meaningful gift for women.

The one of a kind FAITHFUL necklace is a perfect piece of handmade jewelry to gift a woman who loves dogs, especially if her dog(s) is a rescue. The meaningful design features a two sided, lead free pewter dog pendant, brilliant red coral nuggets and earthy Picasso jasper. The star of the one of a kind necklace is the lead free pewter dog pendant. It has a wonderfully rustic look to it since it was patterned after wax seal stamps that were once used to secure letters and documents. The pendant is two-sided. The front features a raised dog design with the word “faithful” above it. The backside has the word "FAITHFUL" on a raised sign. To lend a vintage feel, the charm was coated with a dark patina and then polished, leaving the raised areas shiny to bring out the lovely detail. To perfectly highlight the dog pendant, bright red coral nuggets and earthy colored Picasso jasper gemstones was used. Three pieces of red coral were used on each side of where the pendant connects and is then placed in groups of two with a jasper round separating them. The color of the Picasso jasper rounds range in shades of brown, from a light tan to darker browns, some with hints of gray. Separating the red coral from the jasper are small, glowing sterling silver beads. The necklace is finished with a small toggle clasp set. Created for the woman who cares for and loves dogs deeply, the unique FAITHFUL necklace was carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.

Dragonfly Earrings, Pewter Swirling Blue Handmade Jewelry Gift Women

The "Blue Dasher" handmade earrings feature artisan made pewter dragonfly charms, swirling blue glass beads and metallic blue Swarovski crystals.

Named after a beautiful blue dragonfly that is found throughout a large portion of the United States, Canada and Mexico, the one of a kind BLUE DASHER dangle earrings are a perfect gift idea for the woman who adores watching the fantastic flight of dragonflies as they expertly dip and dash through the air. The handmade earrings feature round pewter charms with a raised dragonfly design, swirling shades of blue glass beads and metallic blue Swarovski crystals. Just look at the detailing of the artisan designed and hand cast lead free dragonfly charms! To bring out the amazing texture of the raised design, the charms were given a dark, rustic patina and then polished, the raised areas left with a glowing silver color. The back of the charms have a dark patina finish.

Swirling blue lampwork beads and sparkling metallic blue Swarovski crystals perfectly complement the dragonfly charms.

To perfectly mimic the real colors of the Blue Dasher dragonflies, swirling blue glass beads with facets and metallic blue Swarovski crystals were stacked above the charms. The glass beads started out with a core of the palest blue (almost white) and then swirls of various shades of blue, black and light teal were added. The bead was then encased with clear glass and faceted for subtle sparkle. To add even more intense sparkle, a rich “metallic blue” Swarovski crystal was added on top of the glass beads separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings. The meaningful "Be Kind" handmade earrings feature bronze over pewter word links and purple Swarovski crystals.

These beautiful handmade earrings have a simple message: BE KIND. Inspirational in their simplicity, the one of a kind beauties were created with glowing bronze over pewter links, sparkling purple Swarovski crystals, copper and sterling silver. For extra glitter, a 6 mm purple velvet crystal was added above the links. The word earrings were finished with sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents. Kitty Cat Necklace, Blue Sodalite Gemstones and Crystal Jewelry Gift for Women

Created with a two sided pewter cat pendant, the one of a kind necklace also includes blue sodalite gemstone beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. Cast in the United States from lead free pewter, the cat pendant has a unique rustic wax seal design. The front side of the pendant features a raised walking cat silhouette while, on the opposite side, the word “purrfect” is found, also raised. The pendant has been oxidized and then polished to give an old silver look and to bring out the beautiful detailing. Please note: the cat and the “purrfect” are actually shinier than the photos show - eye catching against the darker background.

Rich blue sodalite gemstone rounds and Swarovski crystals complement the pewter pendant perfectly. To add amazing sparkle to the necklace design, three “light sapphire” blue Swarovski crystals can be found on either side of the pendant, separated by small sterling silver beads. Three more of the light blue crystals are found on each side of the necklace. Sodalite is a gemstone that can range from dark blue to almost white. As you can see in the photos, the sodalite is mostly shades of blue, from dark to medium with a bit of white here and there. The finish is somewhere between very shiny and matte, possessing a lovely glow. A triangular shaped sterling silver toggle clasp finishes the necklace securely. The PURRFECT necklace was carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.
