Strikingly simple and extremely elegant in design, the AMOR DE DIOS handmade Swarovski crystal earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves to wear beautiful cross jewelry that is on the smaller side. An ancient cross symbol that has its roots in many cultures, the faceted crystals are called a Greek cross since the four arms are of equal length and flared at the ends. Thicker in the middle than on the edges, the faceted cut of the crosses is high precision with a four-pointed star or cross design in the middle. For superb shine, the crystals were coated in a highly reflective metallic finish called “crystal rose gold.” Because of the highly reflective nature of the finish and the faceting, you can see from the photos that the crosses look different as the angle of the light changes. Since the faceting and the metallic finish are on both sides of the crosses, the earrings look fabulous from any angle.  Since the beautiful crosses are extremely dazzling in their simplicity, the total earring design was also kept purposefully uncomplicated. So that the crosses would sway at every movement when worn, to produce the eye-catching sparkle that Swarovski is world famous for, two sterling silver rings, one larger and one smaller, connect the crystals to sterling French hook earwires. Just imagine wearing these beauties as they glitter and shine! Carefully designed by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the AMOR DE DIOS crystal earrings were created for the woman who adores wearing unique cross jewelry. “Amor de Dios” is Spanish for “God’s love.”

Virgin Mary Necklace, Catholic Bless This Woman Cross Handmade Jewelry

The "Blessed Mother" handmade necklace features a symbolic, two-sided Virgin Mary pewter pendant, blue sodalite gemstones and light blue Swarovski crystals - jewelry for a Catholic woman.

The BLESSED MOTHER handmade necklace, featuring a meaningful two sided Virgin Mary pendant, is a perfect jewelry gift for the woman of Catholic faith. Blue sodalite gemstones and Swarovski crystals were added to highlight the pendant, which was cast from high quality, lead free pewter right here in the U.S.  On one side of the pendant is an intricately detailed Blessed Virgin Mary in front of a budded cross with trailing roses.  The opposite side is inscribed with “Bless This Woman” along with an Our Lady’s Cushion flower. The pendant was heavily oxidized and the polished to bring out the raised detail, the details being shinier than what the photos show.  Because of Mary’s feminine beauty and divine nature, blue (a color long associated with Mary) sodalite gemstone rounds in two sizes were used.  To add sparkle, faceted light sapphire blue Swarovski crystal bicones were added, three on each side.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the BLESSED MOTHER is a special necklace for the woman who adores unique, one of a kind Christian jewelry and has a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

The back side of the pendant has a raised "Bless This Woman" banner and a raised Our Lady's Cushion flower.

*** Here is the religious symbolism I was able to identify in the pendant:

• The Virgin Mary: the Divine Mother, the Mother of Jesus/God
• Budded cross: the three “buds” on each end of the cross represent the Holy Trinity
• Roses: known as the “queen of flowers”, roses represent Mary as Queen of Heaven.
• Our Lady’s Cushion: also known the sea-pink (thrift) was said to have formed cushions for Mary to sit on during the flight into Egypt.
• “Bless This Woman”: Mary is believed, through prayers, to intercede for people who are experiencing sorrows

Blue sodalite gemstones in two sizes and sparkling Swarovski crystals perfectly complement the meaningful pendant.
