The one of a kind Mother Nature's Stars handmade necklace was created with starburst jasper, coppery freshwater pearls and sterling silver - unique jewelry for women.

The spectacular semi precious gemstones used in the one of a kind MOTHER NATURE’S STARS handmade necklace look like brilliant sprays of stars or fireworks. Although the gemstone is called starburst jasper (also chrysanthemum jasper and spider jasper), it is actually not a jasper at all but a type of rhyolite formed during volcanic activity. The star patterns are large crystals that were created during the slow cooling of lava. Each of the seven gemstones used in the artisan necklace is covered in starburst patterns, front and back, contrasting exquisitely against a darker background in various shades of brown. To add even more beauty, each piece of the somewhat chunky, flattened jasper is large faceted on the edges and has a high, glossy shine, perfect to catch and reflect the light. Sterling silver daisy spacers frame each end of the jasper.  To add more than a touch of radiance to the necklace and to complement the colors of the starburst jasper perfectly, freshwater potato pearls separate each piece of starburst jasper and finish the back of the necklace. The warm, coppery color of the pearls range from a more golden shades to some a more orange-y look. They are called potato pearls since they are not perfectly round, most are more oblong, and some have ridges, adding wonderful texture to the necklace design. A hammered sterling silver hook clasp adds an elegant finish. The "Cherry Blossoms" handmade earrings feature artisan faux vintage copper cherry blossom dangles, pink roller glass beads and opal beige glass beads - unique flower jewelry for women.

Filled with the cheerfulness and beauty of spring, the CHERRY BLOSSOMS handmade earrings are perfect anytime you need a quick jewelry pick me up. Created with artisan pink cherry blossom flower dangles, pink roller beads and opal beige Czech glass, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. The pink flower charms look as if they are vintage jewelry pieces, but they are “faux vintage,” made to look well-loved. The charms were individually hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper with permanent metal transfer.   The image is a profusion of detailed blooming cherry blossoms, shading from pale pink to darker pink, highlighted against a gorgeous blue sky. A tree branch also can be seen peeking through the flowers. The dangles are mirror images of each other, and, since they were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add wonderful rustic, antique vibes. The backside of the dangles are shiny copper.  To perfectly complement the cherry blossoms, faceted Czech glass roller beads and faceted opal beige Czech glass beads were stacked above the charms. The roller beads are breathtaking in their beauty, composed of a copper metallic center surrounded by clear and various shades of pink glass. When the earrings are worn, the roller beads absolutely glow. Above the roller beads, separated by a copper rope spacer, is a translucent opal beige Czech bead with a Picasso finish of brown speckles. Since both the glass beads are faceted, they lend subtle sparkle to the earrings. The unique "Serengeti Song" handmade necklace features African batik bone beads, black onyx and sterling silver - tribal inspired jewelry for her.

Big and bold and beautiful, the one of a kind SERENGETI SONG necklace is quite the chunky statement piece with ethnic-inspired flair! The unique handmade necklace features vintage black and white African batik bone beads, black onyx and sterling silver. Seventeen vintage (50+ years) batik bone beads make up the main body of the necklace. A fun, 12-sided polygon shape, the bone beads were individually had formed and decorated by artisans in Ghana; each bead is similar in design, color and shape but not exactly the same. The center of the beads are filled with black wood where the bead hole was drilled through. Mainly black and white, the there is some brown shading here and there. Since these are old vintage beads, there is some wear which adds even more tribal-inspired beauty.  Capping each side of the bone beads are shiny black onyx discs. To add sinuous drape and eye catching glow to the necklace, sterling silver beads separate the black onyx. The back of the necklace is finished with two groupings of five onyx discs separated by sterling beads. A textured sterling silver hook clasp set finishes the necklace securely. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the SERENGETI SONG necklace was created for the woman who adores wearing bold, ethnic-inspired jewelry.

Lime Green Peach Lampwork Earrings, Spring Summer Handmade Jewelry

The colorful "Sorbetto" handmade earrings feature artisan bicone shaped lampwork beads in lime green and peach pink with Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

Like a refreshing serving of summer fruit sorbet, the SORBETTO earrings look almost good enough to eat. But please don’t since they’re made out of lampwork glass! The individually artisan handmade beads are a bicone shape, larger in the middle and tapering to each end. The upper half used glass that is a radiant lime green color. The bottom is a rich peachy pink glass. To add even more eye catching beauty, a wispy overlay of lavender is found around the middle of each lampwork bicone.

Spring and summer jewelry needs sparkle, so two coordinating colors of mega sparkle Swarovski crystals were used. Nestled into the bottom of each bicone, a luscious “rose peach” crystal is found, along with a small copper bead. Capping the top of the bicones is a “peridot” Swarovski crystal, named after the precious gemstone of the same color, and three small copper beads. The spring and summer earrings are finished with sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents. The handmade "K’winna Aynshe "earrings feature Zuni black bear fetish glass beads, genuine faceted turquoise, red coral rounds and sterling silver chain - jewelry for women.

The unique Zuni inspired fetish bear earrings certainly contain a hearty dose of Southwest splendor. The handmade dangle earrings, named K’WINNA AYNSHE, feature Czech glass black bear fetish beads, genuine faceted blue turquoise, red coral rounds and patterned sterling silver chain. The eye catchers of the wonderful earrings are the Zuni inspired Czech glass black bear beads. The beads started out with an opaque black glass base. To give a look of oldness to the bears, a mottled Picasso finish of mainly amber and cream was applied with pale hints of red here and there.  To add more than a bit of Southwest feel to the one of a kind earrings, faceted turquoise and red coral rounds were added above each bear. The turquoise is a lovely sky blue color, and because of the facets, adds subtle sparkle. Craters Of The Moon Art Poster Print National Park Idaho

This barren landscape was captured at the Craters of the Moon National Park in Idaho one summer afternoon. The park consists of nothing but volcanic lava flow that spread out over the landscape. The whole surrounding is both surreal and a wonder to behold.

Between masses of black lava, you can see small stirrings of life like moss or lichen. There are tiny blades of plant life struggling to reach the sun, and the carcasses of twisted trees petrified in their place.

To add to this scene, I rendered this shot through a filter to exaggerate the textures of the landscape and smooth out the surrounding mountains. Be amazed.

The "Happy Dog" handmade earrings feature artisan ceramic dog face discs, artisan lampwork glass beads and copper - perfect jewelry gift for the dog lover.

You can’t help but to smile when you see these unique HAPPY DOG earrings! The one of a kind beauties, a perfect gift for a dog lover, features artisan made ceramic dog face discs, artisan lampwork glass beads and copper. The ceramic discs were individually handmade from white ceramic clay and kiln fired twice for strength and durability. The design is so very whimsical: a textured, raised puppy dog face with a happy smile. The glaze is a high shine peach color (hard to photograph due to reflections) and brings out the dog faces perfectly since some glaze settled in the more recessed areas. The earrings are lightweight to wear.  Artisan lampwork beads were stacked above the dog face discs to perfectly complement them. The lampwork beads were made from borosilicate glass (a glass that is stronger than everyday glass) and feature a base glass of speckled medium greenish gray. Wrapped around the middle of the beads is a band of glass in a rich brick red color, a lovely counterpoint to the peach glaze of the dog discs. A 3 mm copper bead and two copper bicones were then stacked above for added copper beauty. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the HAPPY DOG earrings are a wonderful gift for the dog lover who loves unique, meaningful artisan jewelry.
