The unique dendritic jasper used as the main focal of the earrings has a creamy background with bits of rusty brown. But what absolutely catches the eye is the fern-like dendrites caused by magnesite filling micro cracks when the stone was forming billions of years ago (jasper is one of the oldest stones on earth). Just look at the gorgeous, feathery design! Even better, the teardrop gemstones are two-sided so the earrings are lovely from any angle. A small sterling silver daisy spacer was placed over the drill hole to add even more beauty.  Because the dendritic jasper is so gorgeous on its own, black onyx rondelles were used as a simple complement above the teardrops. Irises Van Gogh Art Earrings, Blue Handmade Polymer Clay Jewelry Gift

The Irises handmade earrings feature polymer clay dangles with a permanent transfer of van Gogh's painting, Czech roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

The colorful IRISES handmade art earrings are inspired by the famous  1889 painting of the same name by Vincent van Gogh. The one of a kind earrings were created with rectangle-shaped polymer clay art dangles, glowing premium Czech glass roller beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The unique dangles are individually artisan crafted from high quality black polymer clay with a permanent van Gogh art transfer of a cropped version of his painting, “Irises.” The beautiful painting (one half on one earring, the other half on the other) depicts a bed of blue irises with one white flower against red ground in the front and a yellow and green background.  For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. A black border on the polymer clay rectangle dangles defines the beautiful floral scene. The backside of the dangles are black and inscribed with the artist’s mark. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. Please note: in the original painting, the white iris is on the left hand side.  To perfectly highlight the beautiful blues of the irises, premium quality Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals were used. Two roller beads are stacked on each other above the iris dangles. The faceted beads are a luscious translucent aqua blue color with a center of metallic copper which shows through as a light terracotta. When held up to the light, the beads positively glow, and since they are faceted, they add subtle sparkle. To add even more sparkle, a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal was nestled into each roller bead. The color is called “light sapphire,” a blue that mimics lighter sapphire precious gemstones. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a 4 mm light sapphire Swarovski on each finishes the earrings beautifully. Halloween Pumpkin Earrings, Jack O Lantern Orange Handmade Jewelry

The Jack O Lantern handmade earrings feature copper pumpkin charms with a grinning face, glossy orange lampwork glass beads and two types of black crystals - unique Halloween jewelry for women.

What a fun pair of one of a kind pumpkin earrings to wear to your favorite Halloween party no matter what your costume is! The grinning JACK O LANTERN handmade earrings feature unique artisan made copper Jack O Lantern pumpkins. To perfectly complement the copper dangles, rich orange artisan lampwork glass beads and two types of sparkling black crystals were used. You can’t help but smile when you see the Jack O Lantern pumpkin charms - they look like they are grinning from ear to ear (if pumpkins had ears!). The pumpkins were individually created: molded, shaped, carved and fired in a kiln from beginning to end from precious metal copper clay. Since the charms were torched at high heat to bring out the details, they have a rich, rustic copper patina on the front and back. As you can see, the detailing of the eyes, nose and mouth are exquisite, along with ridge lines that a pumpkin normally has. To add a pop of eye catching color, the pumpkin charms were paired with orange lampwork beads.  The lampwork beads have a high shine, glossy finish that catches and radiates light. Stacked above the orange lampwork beads are two types of crystals. The first are copper rondelles with a black metal finish that are set with a bevy of jet black Czech crystals.  The crystals might be on the smaller size but they add tremendous sparkle. To add even more glitter, nestled into the top of each rondelle is a single faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a black color called "jet.". Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the fun earrings. Frida Kahlo Art Earrings, Self Portrait Polymer Clay Handmade Jewelry

The "Frida Preciosa" handmade earrings feature artisan polymer clay Frida dangles, magenta pink Czech glass roller beads and ruby Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

The one of a kind FRIDA PRECIOSA handmade earrings are so very well named: “”gorgeous Frida” or “precious Frida,” indeed! These enchanting Frida Kahlo earrings are based on a full length self portrait, sometimes called “Between the Curtains,” painted in 1947 and dedicated to her friend Leon Trotsky. In the painting, she wears a long peach and white embroidered skirt, fringed brown shawl and gold jewelry. The Frida dangles are artisan created from high quality, rectangular-shaped black polymer clay with a permanent art transfer. For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. The self portrait has been closely cropped to only show Frida’s beautifull face and a pink flower in her hair. A black border acts like a frame to highlight the art . As you can see in the photos, the dangles are mirror images of each other, but, in the original painting, she is gazing to the right. The backside of the dangles are black and inscribed with the artist’s mark. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. To perfectly complement the Frida Kahlo polymer clay dangles, premium Czech glass roller beads and sparkling Swarovski crystals were used. The roller beads were created from a gorgeous magenta pink and clear glass mix with a silver metallic center. They have a rustic finish to them to add an aged look, and, since they’re translucent, the beads absolutely glow when worn. And with the addition of facets, they also add subtle sparkle. And talking about sparkle, a single faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a rich, eye catching color called “ruby” red was stacked on top of each roller bead, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings. Rustic Owl Earrings, Black Turquoise Blue Swarovski Handmade Jewelry

The "Twilight Owls" handmade earrings feature two sided, rustic Czech glass owl beads, aquamarine shimmer Swarovski crystals and sterling silver - unique bird earrings for women.

With their rustic, worn look, the TWILIGHT OWLS handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for a woman who is a birder or who just loves the majesty and beauty of owls. The one of a kind beauties feature rustic, two sided Czech glass coin beads created with a whimsical owl design and light blue Swarovski crystals. The coin-shaped owl beads, made in small batches in the Czech Republic, started out as opaque black base glass with an owl impressed into each side. A Picasso finish of mossy lichen colors was applied and then a turquoise blue wash was added. The blue wash settled into the recessed areas and “cracks” to highlight the details of the owl design, each side of the bead being a bit different. Since the owl beads are two sided, the earrings look charming from any angle when worn.  To perfectly complement the owl design and to add mega sparkle, faceted Swarovski crystal bicones were added to the top of the owl beads, separated by a small sterling silver bead. Vintage Batik Bone Necklace, Chunky Black White Handmade Jewelry Gift

The unique "Serengeti Song" handmade necklace features African batik bone beads, black onyx and sterling silver - tribal inspired jewelry for her.

Big and bold and beautiful, the one of a kind SERENGETI SONG necklace is quite the chunky statement piece with ethnic-inspired flair! The unique handmade necklace features vintage black and white African batik bone beads, black onyx and sterling silver. Seventeen vintage (50+ years) batik bone beads make up the main body of the necklace. A fun, 12-sided polygon shape, the bone beads were individually had formed and decorated by artisans in Ghana; each bead is similar in design, color and shape but not exactly the same. The center of the beads are filled with black wood where the bead hole was drilled through. Mainly black and white, the there is some brown shading here and there. Since these are old vintage beads, there is some wear which adds even more tribal-inspired beauty.  Capping each side of the bone beads are shiny black onyx discs. To add sinuous drape and eye catching glow to the necklace, sterling silver beads separate the black onyx. The back of the necklace is finished with two groupings of five onyx discs separated by sterling beads. A textured sterling silver hook clasp set finishes the necklace securely. Yellow Flowers Black Enamel Earrings, Carved Jet Boho Handmade Jewelry

The "Fiori Gialli" handmade earrings feature artisan yellow flowers on black enamel teardrop dangles and carved jet beads - unique jewelry gift for women.

Big and bold but lightweight to wear, the FIORI GIALLI boho earrings are perfect for dress up and dress down. The flirty earrings feature artisan created enamel yellow on black flower drops, hand carved jet gemstone beads and sterling silver. Individually handmade, the elongated teardrop shape charms, with a cut out circle on each, started out as copper blanks. A layer of black enamel glass powder was torch fired onto the copper. The flowers and stems were then created with yellow and green glass powders, also torched. Just look at the incredible detail of the mirror-image flowers that certainly stand out against the rich, glossy black - you can even see the individual petals! The back of the flower charms are finished with black enamel. Since the flower dangles started out as copper blanks, the earrings are lightweight to wear.  The yellow flower drops are wire wrapped with sterling silver wire to beautifully carved jet gemstone beads. Unlike many gemstones, jet is not a mineral, but is a mineraloid (organic mineral). It formed under extremely high pressure from naturally occurring wood as long ago as 182 million years. Jet is easily carved and has been used for ornamentation by humans since at least 10,000 BC. The glossy jet beads used to complement the enameled flower dangles were individually hand carved with an Asian motif. Please see photo #8 for a close up photo of the jet beads. Sterling spacers cap the top and bottom of each jet bead, adding a wonderful silver glow to the design. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the FIORI GIALLI one of a kind earrings were created for the woman who loves bold boho flower jewelry. “Fiori gialli” is Italian for “yellow flowers.”

The "Zebra Swallowtail" handmade earrings feature artisan butterfly wing dangles, black Swarovski crystals and Tibetan agate - one of a kind jewelry gift for women.

The ZEBRA SWALLOWTAIL nature inspired handmade earrings are so very reminiscent of the wings of a butterfly when first emerging from its chrysalis after its magical transformation from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Folded and crumpled and sometimes different sizes, these unique earrings capture that transformative moment forever. The one of a kind earrings feature lightweight, polymer clay butterfly wing dangles, Swarovski crystals and Tibetan agate. The beautifully patterned butterfly wings were artisan created from polymer clay in black, white and pink, inspired by an actual zebra swallowtail (minus the tail). The wings are two sided, folded, and one is just a bit bigger than the other by only about 2 mm. Because these lightweight beauties are two-sided, they look fabulous and intriguing from any angle.  To perfectly complement the butterfly wings, sparkling Swarovski crystal bicones in a color called “jet” black were used. A single small sterling silver bead separates it from a black and ivory Tibetan agate gemstone bead. The Tibetan agate is also faceted to add even more subtle glitter to the overall design.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the ZEBRA SWALLOWTAIL butterfly wing earrings were created for the woman who loves the beauty of butterflies and adores wearing lightweight artisan jewelry.

The lightweight butterfly wing dangles were individually artisan handmade from black, white and pink polymer clay.

Boho Enamel Hoop Earrings, Red White Black Onyx Handmade Jewelry Gift

The fun "Fashionista" handmade earrings feature artisan created enamelled hoops and black onyx gemstones - boho jewelry gift for women.

Filled with fun and funky boho retro vibes, the FASHIONISTA handmade earrings are a perfect gift idea for the woman who loves to wear one of a kind jewelry. The unique dangle earrings feature artisan handmade enamel hoops and two shapes of black onyx gemstones. The individually artisan created hoops started out as copper blanks. Enamel glass powders in an eye catching design were fused to the copper with a high heat torch. And what a FUN, eye catching design the hoops are! Half of the hoops are a brilliant red: on one hoop the bottom half is red and, on the other hoop, the right side is red. Black and white stripes finish the other halves, the top of one hoop and the left side of the other. The enamel is very shiny so be aware that there are some reflections in the photos that are not there in real life. The back of each hoop is finished with black enamel. The earrings are very lightweight to wear.  To keep the rest of the earring design simple, two sizes and shapes of black onyx gemstones were used. To mimic the black stripes, two shiny black onyx discs were stacked above the hoops. A single sterling silver daisy spacer separates the discs from a black onyx round at the top. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind FASHIONISTA enamelled earrings are perfect for the trendy fashionista in your life! 

The unique hoops were individually artisan handmade from glass enamel powder torched onto a copper blank.
