Looking as if the first soft hued rays of the morning sun are shining through a stand of trees, the FIRST LIGHT OF DAY handmade earrings are perfectly named and oh, so beautiful! They are ideal for the woman who adores symbolic Tree of Life / Yggdrasil jewelry. The earrings feature individually artisan created bronze charms with dusty rose pink and turquoise Czech glass beads complementing the tree dangles. The Tree of Life charms are pure bronze, created from precious metal clay.  The trees are raised against the background which provides wonderful texture. To provide delicate color, the background of the charms were hand painted in shades of peachy pink and pale golden green to represent the first light of day. Since the charms were individually handmade and hand painted, you can see that the pieces are very similar but not exactly the same. The back of the Tree of Life charms are shiny bronze and fairly smooth.  To highlight the background colors of the dangles, two vintage look, dusty rose pink Czech glass discs with a golden bronze Picasso finish were stacked above each charm.  An opaque light turquoise blue-green tri-cut Czech beads with a brown Picasso finish was added to the top of each earrings.  Since the beads have three facets (tri-cut) they add subtle sparkle to the earrings. Millefiori Flowers Disc Earrings, Enamel Pink Blue Handmade Jewelry

The "Bellissimi Fiori" handmade earrings feature artisan millefiori enamel discs, artisan lampwork glass beads, Swarovski crystals and Czech beads - unique jewelry for women.

Sweet millefiori flower jewelry for spring and summer wear, the one of a kind BELLISSIMI FIORI handmade earrings are a perfect Easter or Mother’s Day gift for the woman who loves flowers. The dangle earrings feature artisan millefiori enamel discs, artisan pink lampwork glass beads, blue Swarovski crystals and pink Czech glass beads. The beautiful discs were artisan hand cut and filed from copper and hammered to create a concave dome shape. The domes were given a pink enamel glass background, shading from a light pink to a darker pink. To create the floral pattern, tiny multi-colored millefiori glass beads in mainly shades of blue, aqua and lavender were randomly added and melted with a high heat torch. Millefiori, a glass technique originally developed in Italy, is Italian for “thousands of flowers.” As you can see in the photos, each disc has a different millefiori flower design, beautiful against the pink background. The back of the discs are also enameled with pink and lavender.  To perfectly complement the enamel flower discs, three different types of beads were used. Just above each disc is a rich pink lampwork glass beads. The shape is a somewhat smashed flying saucer shape that has ridges on the top and bottom. Since the lampwork beads are translucent, they absolutely glow when the earrings are worn. Just above each lampie, separated by a small sterling silver daisy spacer, is a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a regal dark blue color called “indigo.”  Separated from each crystal by a small sterling disc spacer is silky, matte finish pale pink Czech glass bead that also glows in the light.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the BELLISSIMI FIORI earrings are perfect for the woman who loves to flower garden, owns a flower shop or just just loves the soothing beauty of flowers. “Bellissimi fiori” is Italian for “beautiful flowers.”

Cactus Red Flower Earrings, Red Coral Copper Vintage Handmade Jewelry

The fun "Spikes" handmade earrings feature artisan vintage look cactus on copper dangles and red coral - unique jewelry for women.

Cactus and other succulents are all the rage now to grow . . . and to wear (jewelry, that is!).  Stylish and lightweight to wear, the perfectly named, one of a kind SPIKES handmade earrings feature artisan vintage look cactus dangles, red coral discs and copper.  The eye catching cactus dangles look like they were upcycled from old tea or cookie tins -  but they only mimic rustic vintage tins.  The dangles were individually hand cut into a rectangle shape from modern copper sheeting, filed and sanded.  A permanent metal transfer was applied for the faux tin look and then the charms were sealed for many years of wearing fun.  Against a background of light gray and cream, a green barrel cactus with long, wicked looking thorns leans a bit to the left on each dangle.  To add extra interest, a single red blossom pokes up from the crown of each cactus.  Since the dangles were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add wonderful rustic vibes. The back of each dangle is smooth, shiny copper which will gradually gain a patina over time.  Because the charms are made from copper sheeting, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.

The color of the flower on the barrel cacti are perfectly complemented with hand cut red coral discs.   Three discs were used to create a stack, capped on the bottom with a single pure copper bicone and capped on the top with two bicones separated by a small copper bead..  Because the red coral was hand cut, the discs are very similar in size and finish but are not exactly the same.  All of the elements were strung on copper wire, wire wrapped and then connected to sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the SPIKES handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves cactus.

Created from authentic Indian Head copper pennies from over 100 years ago, the fun, one of a kind PRETTY PENNIES earrings are perfect for the woman who collects coins, who wants to own a bit of numismatic history or just loves unique handmade jewelry! The earrings feature two sided Indian Head pennies (also called an Indian Head cent), one dated 1893 and one the other is from 1901. The copper coins were lightly polished to bring out the fabulous detail on both the front and the back.  As you can see from the photos, there is some wear on the pennies, a few dings and scratches that’s not unusual from pennies that date that far back.  To add an unexpected pop of rich color, two coral orange Czech glass discs are stacked above each penny. Since the discs have a silver metallic wash, they shimmer in the light. A genuine turquoise rondelle was added on top, separated from the coral discs by a copper spacer. The blue turquoise has a bit of pale beige matrix. A 3 mm copper bead caps everything. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finishes the earrings perfectly. The gorgeous "A Field of Blue" handmade earrings feature artisan blue flower enamel dangles, artisan frosted lampwork glass beads, sapphire blue roller beads and leafy bronze bead caps - unique floral jewelry for women.

The charming A FIELD OF BLUE handmade earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves to wear bold, boho-style flower jewelry. Reminiscent of a gorgeous field of swaying dark blue flowers, the beautiful one of a kind earrings feature artisan blue, green and white enamel floral dangles, glowing artisan frosted white lampwork glass beads, sapphire blue Czech glass roller beads, bronze bead caps, copper and sterling silver. The captivating enamelled copper long rectangles, which are almost 2” / 5.1 cm long, were individually created. Shiny white enamel glass powder was fused onto the front of the copper rectangles at very high heat with a torch. Azure blue glass powder was torched onto the white background to create the individual flowers, with lines of green glass powder to form the stems of the flowers. Black enamel finishes the back of the rectangles.  To perfectly complement the flower dangles, frosted white lampwork glass beads, premium quality blue glass roller beads and patinated bronze bead caps were used. The lampwork glass beads, located just above the flowers, were individually artisan created from clear glass. To add a frosted sea glass look, the beads were acid etched. Because the beads are frosted, they glow amazingly when the earrings are worn (please see photos #2 and #8 to see pics of the earrings hanging). A bronze bead cap with a leafy design clasps the top of the lampwork beads. Just above the frosted beads are faceted, richly colored sapphire blue Czech glass roller beads. Since the roller beads were created from translucent blue glass, they beautifully glow and sparkle. Leafy bronze bead caps were placed on the top and bottom of the roller beads. Southwest Church Crosses Earrings, Yellow Blue Green Handmade Jewelry

The "Southwest Serenity" handmade earrings feature artisan dangles with a Southwest church or mission scene, sunflower yellow Czech beads and sterling silver - unique jewelry for women.

Perfectly named, the SOUTHWEST SERENITY handmade earrings are both beautiful and lightweight to wear. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan made dangles, sunflower yellow Czech glass beads and sterling silver. The exquisite square shaped dangles were created from artists’ backboard, a heavy duty archival quality paper board. A permanent transfer was applied. As you can see in the photos, the design on the dangles is a serene looking Southwest style church or mission with trees. The main entrance of the church is red and two bell towers are found on either side in the classic white stucco of Southwest missions. A cross tops the left bell tower and the entrance. A large tree is found to the left of the church and a smaller one to the right. The sky is a rich blue and the grass is green, perhaps after a monsoon rain. The charms were given several coats of a sealant for long wear. Because the earrings have a Southwest design with a wide blue sky, there is almost always a blazing sun. To perfectly mimic the sun, three faceted sunflower yellow Czech glass rondelles were used. Two of the glittering yellow rondelles are stacked above the dangles, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacers, and one dangles below. The yellow glass beads are translucent so they glow amazingly when the earrings are worn and, because of the faceting, they add sparkle.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique and lightweight SOUTHWEST SERENITY earrings were created for the woman who adores exploding Southwest churches / missions and loves to wear one of a kind artisan jewelry.

Yellow Flowers Black Enamel Earrings, Carved Jet Boho Handmade Jewelry

The "Fiori Gialli" handmade earrings feature artisan yellow flowers on black enamel teardrop dangles and carved jet beads - unique jewelry gift for women.

Big and bold but lightweight to wear, the FIORI GIALLI boho earrings are perfect for dress up and dress down. The flirty earrings feature artisan created enamel yellow on black flower drops, hand carved jet gemstone beads and sterling silver. Individually handmade, the elongated teardrop shape charms, with a cut out circle on each, started out as copper blanks. A layer of black enamel glass powder was torch fired onto the copper. The flowers and stems were then created with yellow and green glass powders, also torched. Just look at the incredible detail of the mirror-image flowers that certainly stand out against the rich, glossy black - you can even see the individual petals! The back of the flower charms are finished with black enamel. Since the flower dangles started out as copper blanks, the earrings are lightweight to wear.  The yellow flower drops are wire wrapped with sterling silver wire to beautifully carved jet gemstone beads. Unlike many gemstones, jet is not a mineral, but is a mineraloid (organic mineral). It formed under extremely high pressure from naturally occurring wood as long ago as 182 million years. Jet is easily carved and has been used for ornamentation by humans since at least 10,000 BC. The glossy jet beads used to complement the enameled flower dangles were individually hand carved with an Asian motif. Please see photo #8 for a close up photo of the jet beads. Sterling spacers cap the top and bottom of each jet bead, adding a wonderful silver glow to the design. Filled with smile inducing charm, the one of a kind FLORES BONITAS handmade earrings will quickly become favorites to wear! The earrings feature artisan hand painted on copper daisy flower dangles and speckled aqua and brown lampwork earrings, also artisan handmade. The beautiful copper flower charms were created from kiln-fired copper precious metal clay and are filled with textured swirls and petals on the upper part, almost looking like hand tooled leather. What catches the eye are the single flower at the bottom of each dangle. The daisies were hand painted with a glowing aqua turquoise color for the petals, a lavender purple for the discs and a spot of orange right in the middle. To perfectly complement the daisy dangles, artisan made lampwork glass beads were used. The lampwork beads started out as white molten glass but a frit was added to give a unique color and effect to the beads.   Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the FLORES BONITAS flower earrings were created for the woman who adores wearing artisan handmade flower jewelry. “Flores bonitas” is Spanish for “pretty flowers.”

Purple Clear Lampwork Earrings, Thai Silver Handmade Jewelry for Women

The "Bellezza" handmade earrings feature artisan handmade clear and purple lampwork beads and Thi fine silver cornerless beads - jewelry for women.

Glowing crystal clear lampwork glass beads, spotted purple lampwork beads and Thai Hill Tribes fine silver cornerless beads all come together to create the simply beautiful BELLEZZA handmade earrings. The two sets of lampwork beads are both artisan handmade from two different artists. The lampwork beads used on the bottom of the exquisite earrings are a rondelle shape and were individually created from transparent glass. Each bead has a few tiny air bubbles, which adds definite eye appeal. The lovely purple lampwork beads beads started out as clear glass. When they were still in their molten stage, a rich berry purple glass frit was applied to form the subtle spots. Above each purple bead is a Thai Hill Tribes fine silver cornerless beads with an imprinted flower design on the flat sides. Artisan made high in the mountains of Thailand from fine silver (more pure than sterling silver), each bead is very similar but not exactly the same.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the BELLEZA earrings were made for the woman who adores one of a kind earrings, especially those that glow when worn. “Bellezza” is Italian for “beauty.”

The larger lampwork beads were individually artisan created from crystal clear glass and the smaller from clear glass with purple frit.
