An ancient cross symbol that has its roots in many cultures, the faceted crystals are called a Greek cross since the four arms are of equal length and flared at the ends. Thicker in the middle than on the edges, the faceted cut of the crosses is high precision with a four-pointed star or cross design in the middle. For superb shine, the crystals were coated in a highly reflective metallic finish called “crystal rose gold.” Because of the highly reflective nature of the finish and the faceting, you can see from the photos that the crosses look different as the angle of the light changes. Since the faceting and the metallic finish are on both sides of the crosses, the earrings look fabulous from any angle.  Since the beautiful crosses are extremely dazzling in their simplicity, the total earring design was also kept purposefully uncomplicated. The unique "Ancient Scribes" handmade earrings feature artisan Egyptian hieroglyph dangles, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads and sterling silver - one of a kind jewelry for women.

The ANCIENT SCRIBES handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves the wonder and mystery of Egyptian hieroglyphs. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan created pewter hieroglyph charms, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads and sterling silver. The lead free pewter dangles, individually hand cast, feature a different set of hieroglyphs on each charm. One dangle has, from top to bottom: an eye (which represents safety), a zigzag (represents water), two curved staffs (which represent folded cloth), a spiral (represents shelter) and an unidentified marking at the bottom. The other has: a sideways lotus bud (represents rebirth), a quail chick (represents the letter W which was a vowel sound) and a zigzag (represents water). The hieroglyph charms have a lovely antique, rustic look and aren’t the exact same shape. A bit wider on the bottom than at the top, they were given a patina to bring out the details of the hieroglyphs and then polished to look like heirloom silver. The back of the charms have a slightly grainy, darker finish. To add unexpected beauty to the design of the hieroglyph earrings, vintage glass snake vertebrae beads are stacked above the charms. Sometimes called zigzag beads, they get their more common name due to their resemblance to the interlocking vertebrae of snakes. Most vintage snake beads are Czech or French and were produced for African trade. The beads are at least 50+ years old and are colored coral orange and blue. For fun, two blue beads and one coral orange were stacked on one earring while the other has two coral orange and one blue bead. A 3 mm sterling silver bead nettles into the top of the upper vertebrae bead. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the eye catching earrings. Colorful Abstract Art Earrings Polymer Clay Carnelian Handmade Jewelry

 

The colorful "Colores Brilliantes" handmade earrings feature artisan abstract art polymer clay dangles and two shapes of orange carnelian - unique jewelry for women.

Big and bold with a breathtaking palette of vivid abstract art colors, the unique COLORES BRILLIANTES handmade earrings will definitely add a large dose of boho dazzle to your earlobes! The rustic, one of a kind earrings feature very lightweight artisan polymer clay dangles and two shapes and sizes of orange carnelian gemstones. The dangles were individually created from black polymer clay, freehand etched and then hand painted with glistening colors with a metallic sheen. Bold curves and swirls are reminiscent of some of the more colorful art works of Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and others. Shimmering acrylic pigments in hot orange, gold, bronze, medium purple, turquoise blue and various greens were hand painted onto the dangles. I just wish the photos could show the amazing shimmer these earrings have! For a fun, boho look, the dangles are somewhat similar in design but are also uniquely different, as you can see in the photos. After the final curing of the dangles, several layers of crystal protectant were applied. The back side of each dangle is also painted and is signed by the artist. Since the dangles were created from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.

To perfectly complement the colors of the polymer clay dangles, orange carnelian gemstones were used. Just above the dangles are beautiful orange carnelian hand carved rounds that suggest flowers. The carbed rounds are mainly a rich medium orange but have natural lighter and darker swirls. Just above each carved carnelian flower, separated by two copper disc spacers, is a carnelian disc, also a medium orange with lighter colored swirls. Since both gemstones are translucent, they glow so prettily when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a copper bead accent finishes the earrings beautifully. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the COLORES BRILLIANTES were created for the woman who loves bold jewelry with a definite abstract art boho look. “Colores brilliantes” is Spanish for “brilliant colors.”

Filled with blocks of color that represent the oceans, the MERMAID’S DREAM handmade bracelet is a perfect gift for the woman who loves unique jewelry . . . and who might have more than a bit of mermaid in her soul. Filled with vibrant color, the bracelet was created with sumptuous white pearls, rich aqua discs and bright coral red rondelles. As you can see in the photos, the white freshwater pearls have a luscious, luminous glow. The pearls are more oval in shape, each one a bit different from the other, as is normal with freshwater pearls. The glow of the pearls is eye catching, almost as they have their own light source. Copper beads separate each pearl, adding their own beautiful glow.  On the opposite side of the bracelet, are found translucent aqua Czech glass disc spacers that positively glow in the light, reminiscent of the waters of the Caribbean. To add an aged look, the discs were speckled with a metallic gold Picasso finish that adds great eye appeal. The discs were placed in groups of five with copper beads separating each group. Between the pearls and the discs are found three bright red coral Czech glass rondelles. The middle of the red rondelles are faceted to add subtle sparkle. The MEDITATION Shakyamuni Buddha pendant necklace is perfect for the woman who meditates, takes yoga or just loves one of a kind jewelry. The meaningful, one of a kind necklace features a rustic brass Shakyamuni Buddha pendant, earthy matte tube beads, old world striped seed beads and copper. The peaceful looking Fair Trade Buddha pendant was artisan handmade from brass in a small village in Thailand. The brass was darkened and then given a rich seafoam blue green patina to bring out the incredible detail of the meditating Buddha, the platform he sits on and the curved leafed arch around him. It was then polished so that the raised areas glow with the rich color of the shiny brass. The pendant is two sided with the Buddha is on the front side. On the back, which has a dark patina, is an inscribed Buddhist unalome, a symbol that represents the path to enlightenment.  To perfectly highlight the Buddha pendant, Czech glass tubes and striped beads were used to provide even more rustic charm. The matte finish tube beads are a great mix of earthy colors including various shades of green, dark brown and mustard yellow. To create an aged look to the beads, a mottled medium brown Picasso finish was added. Between each tube beads are found shiny Czech glass seed beads with an old word Picasso finish to mimic antique trade beads from hundreds of years ago. Most have stripes, but not all. Small copper beads separate each bead and add a lovely glow. A copper toggle clasp with a patina finishes the necklace securely. The beautiful "Halo Sun" handmade necklace features a petroglyph inspired sun pendant, leopardskin jasper, shell and copper - unique Southwest jewelry for women.

Filled with the rich, earthy colors of the Desert Southwest, the one of a kind HALO SUN necklace is a perfect handmade jewelry gift for the woman who loves the symbolism of Native American petroglyphs. The beautiful necklace features an artisan polymer clay sun symbol pendant, leopardskin jasper gemstones, shell heishe and copper. The pendant was created from white polymer clay. A concentric circle halo sun symbol design was inscribed free hand into the polymer clay then hand painted with earthy pigments reminiscent of the sandstone and sage of the desert. The backside of the pendant is also inscribed with a petroglyph looking design, including the maker’s mark, a spiraling P. A coating of clear polymer clay sealer was applied to protect the pendant and keep it vibrant for many years of wearing pleasure. Three heavy gauge copper jump rings securely fasten the unique wire bail of the pendant to the main body of the necklace.

To perfectly highlight the colors of the sun pendant, gorgeous leopardskin jasper and shell heishe was used. Also sometimes referred to as jaguar stone, leopardskin jasper is known for its earthy colors and distinct potter and swirly patterns. As you can see in the photos, the colors range from a dark reddish brown pinks, peaches and a pale beige. Each stone is distinct in its pattern. Between each grouping of three leopardskin jasper rounds, each separated by small copper beads, is found three thin heishe shell discs in a pale peachy color, also separated from the jasper by copper beads. A copper hook clasp set finishes the meaningful necklace. Irises Van Gogh Art Earrings, Blue Handmade Polymer Clay Jewelry Gift

The Irises handmade earrings feature polymer clay dangles with a permanent transfer of van Gogh's painting, Czech roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

The colorful IRISES handmade art earrings are inspired by the famous  1889 painting of the same name by Vincent van Gogh. The one of a kind earrings were created with rectangle-shaped polymer clay art dangles, glowing premium Czech glass roller beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The unique dangles are individually artisan crafted from high quality black polymer clay with a permanent van Gogh art transfer of a cropped version of his painting, “Irises.” The beautiful painting (one half on one earring, the other half on the other) depicts a bed of blue irises with one white flower against red ground in the front and a yellow and green background.  For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. A black border on the polymer clay rectangle dangles defines the beautiful floral scene. The backside of the dangles are black and inscribed with the artist’s mark. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. Please note: in the original painting, the white iris is on the left hand side.  To perfectly highlight the beautiful blues of the irises, premium quality Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals were used. Two roller beads are stacked on each other above the iris dangles. The faceted beads are a luscious translucent aqua blue color with a center of metallic copper which shows through as a light terracotta. When held up to the light, the beads positively glow, and since they are faceted, they add subtle sparkle. To add even more sparkle, a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal was nestled into each roller bead. The color is called “light sapphire,” a blue that mimics lighter sapphire precious gemstones. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a 4 mm light sapphire Swarovski on each finishes the earrings beautifully. The meaningful "His Love" handmade earrings feature artisan copper cross dangles and artisan blue lampwork glass beads - unique cross jewelry for women.

What unique jewelry for the woman who loves Christian cross earrings! The HIS LOVE one of a kind, handmade cross earrings feature eye catching artisan copper cross dangles and beautiful lampwork glass beads. The copper dangles were individually artisan created and are actually three pieces connected together. The circular back was hand cut from pure copper sheeting, the edges filed to a silky smoothness. The circle is slightly concave and has a hammered and scratched design. A single copper cross hangs in front of the circles - each is “loose” so the crosses can sway back and forth at each movement of the head when worn. The hand formed double copper spirals are found at the top of the crosses to add even more eye appeal. All of the copper pieces were given a rich patina for a wonderfully aged, rustic look.  Just above the spirals are artisan made lampwork glass beads. The beads were created from a translucent rich blue borosilicate glass. While the glass was still hot, sage green with bits of raspberry glass was wound around the middle. As you can see in the photos, the lampwork beads are very similar, but because they were handmade, they are also somewhat different. Two copper daisy spacers and a 3 mm copper bead are stacked above the lampwork bead. Everything was rustically wire wrapped with a double strand of copper wire and attached to sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents. Sugar Skulls Earrings, Day of the Dead Halloween Enamel Pearls Jewelry

The "Calaveras de Colores" handmade earrings feature artisan enamel sugar skull dangles, teal freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals - Day of the Dead jewelry for women.

Since the CALAVERAS DE COLORES sugar skull earrings are so colorful, you just have to smile every time you look at them! Perfect jewelry for Day of the Dead or Halloween, the one of a kind earrings feature individually artisan handmade enamel sugar skull charms with teal pearls and pink Swarovski crystals. The unique cut out Dia de los Muertos skull dangles started out as copper blanks. Shiny white enamel glass powder was fused onto the front with a butane torch.  A stencil and more enamel glass powder was used to form the colorful design.  As you can see the colors are gorgeous: teal green around the eyes, pink flowers on the forehead, under the eyes and on the chin and a yellow starburst just above each eye. The upper lip of the skulls has seven vertical lines. Because the sugar skulls were individually hand enameled, they are very similar but not exactly the same, as the photos will show. The back of the charms are finished in black enamel. Despite the larger size of these earrings, the unique flower earrings are lightweight to wear.  Because the sugar skull charms are the main focal of the earrings, simple embellishments were used. Just above each skull is a rich, glowing teal green freshwater potato pearl (“potato” meaning they aren’t perfectly round) capped by copper disc spacers. Depending on the angle of the light, the color of the pearls will shift to a more blue teal. To add sparkle, a faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a color called “light rose” pink tops the earrings.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the CALAVERAS DE COLORES lightweight dangle earrings are perfect jewelry accessories to add to your Halloween and Day of the Dead costume and festivities. Shakyamuni Buddha Necklace, Rustic Copper Pearls Handmade Yoga Jewelry

The one of a kind "Meditation" handmade necklace features an artisan rustic looking Shakyamuni Buddha pendant, coppery orange pearls and copper beads - unique yoga jewelry for women.

Filled with a tranquil but powerful feeling, the meaningful MEDITATION necklace is perfect jewelry to wear when you are in a contemplative mood . . . or just want to make a fabulous fashion statement. The one of a kind yoga inspired necklace features an artisan created meditating Shakyamuni Buddha pendant with gorgeous coppery orange pearls and copper. The stunning, rustic pendant, which looks like an ancient artefact, was created from off-white polymer clay that was molded into a serene Shakyamuni Buddha in a meditative pose within a triangle. The fingers of his right hand are touching the earth. This is a bhumisparsha mudra (a hand gesture during meditation) which symbolizes the Buddha's enlightenment under the bodhi tree, when he asked the earth goddess, Sthavara, to bear witness to his enlightenment. The left hand is held flat in the lap, palm up. The Shakyamuni Buddha is raised against the background, providing wonderful texture to the design. The pendant was hand painted with polymer clay inks for a rich, aged look.  When the pendant was “cooked” the inks settled into the recessed areas leaving most of the body of the Buddha paler, highlighting it perfectly. The pendant was given a coating of resin for protection and to keep the colors brilliant. As was mentioned above, the pendant has a worn rustic look with “cracks” and glazing adding great interest. To perfectly complement the Shakyamuni Buddha pendant, glowing coppery orange freshwater pearls were used. The pearls are on the larger side and are called “potato pearls” since they aren’t perfectly round. Most are oval shaped and have natural ridges that highlight the rustic look of the pendant. They absolutely glow, almost like they have their own light source. Since the number three has a spiritual symbolism in most religions, including Buddhism, three pearls separated by copper beads are found on each side of the pendant. Then the pearls are in groups of three, separated by copper disc spacers and a copper bead. The last group has four pearls (to add the proper length to the necklace). Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the MEDITATION necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who practices yoga and / or meditates and adores wearing one of a kind artisan jewelry.
