Perfect jewelry for the woman who loves lightweight, boho style earrings inspired by a famous artist, the colorful RED POPPIES earrings will be treasured by any art lover and worn time and time again. Long and dangly, the one of a kind earrings feature Gustav Klimt inspired red poppy garden polymer clay dangles and amber resin Tibetan beads. The amazing Klimt influenced dangles were individually artisan made from black polymer clay. The multicolored poppy design was drawn freehand into the clay, shimmering acrylic pigments were hand painted in layers for depth and two layers of a crystal protectant were added for many years of wearing enjoyment. The unique hand painted design is filled with vibrant orange red poppies with sweeping swirls in complementing aqua blue, orange, copper and gold pigments.  A black “frame” enhances the flowers. The back side is finished in mixed metallic pigments with the artist’s mark. As you can see, the dangles are different but similar in design. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  Stacked above the red poppy dangles, perfectly highlighting them, are Tibetan resin beads and glowing orange Czech glass beads. Handmade by artisans in Nepal in the traditional manner of mixing resin with amber dust, the vintage-look Tibetan beads are a rich honey amber color that are somewhat translucent. Adding even more eye interest, the resin beads are inlaid around the middle with dotted brass wire. Mermaid Art Earrings, Faux Vintage Green Brown Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "A Mermaid" handmade art earrings feature artisan mermaid dangles, Czech glass and Swarovski crystals - lovely mermaid jewelry for women.

A MERMAID handmade art earrings are perfect for the woman who has a bit of mermaid in her and who also loves famous works of art. Beautifully unique art jewelry, the one of a kind earrings feature artisan created faux vintage copper dangles, swirled green Czech glass beads and sparkling brown Swarovski crystals. The eye catching mermaid  charms were individually hand cut into a trapezoid shape from copper sheeting, filed and sanded. A permanent metal transfer was applied for the faux tin look and then the charms were waterproof sealed for many years of wearing fun. The back of the dangles are shiny copper. Since the dangles were individually artisan made, they are very similar but not exactly the same.  To perfectly complement the mermaids, Czech glass beads and sparkling Swarovski crystals were used. The Czech glass beads were made from opaque medium pine green glass that shades to light apple green with a rustic silky matte finish. To add even more eye appeal, a gold Picasso finish was washed onto about ⅓ of the surface of the beads, adding a wonderful glow. To add mega sparkle, a faceted "smoky topaz" brown Swarovski crystal bicone was placed above each Czech bead.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, unique A MERMAID earrings are a great gift, sure to please the woman who loves great works of art and mermaids!

The mermaid dangles were inspired by the famous John William Waterhouse masterpiece, "A Mermaid," which was painted in 1900. The dangles are a cropped version of a mermaid perched on a rock with her tail coiled around her, combing out her long red hair while singing a song. In front of her is a large shell filled with pearls (legend says the pearls are formed by the tears of dead sailors). She is highlighted by the aqua green sea and rocky arches behind her. Colorful Abstract Art Earrings Polymer Clay Carnelian Handmade Jewelry

 

The colorful "Colores Brilliantes" handmade earrings feature artisan abstract art polymer clay dangles and two shapes of orange carnelian - unique jewelry for women.

Big and bold with a breathtaking palette of vivid abstract art colors, the unique COLORES BRILLIANTES handmade earrings will definitely add a large dose of boho dazzle to your earlobes! The rustic, one of a kind earrings feature very lightweight artisan polymer clay dangles and two shapes and sizes of orange carnelian gemstones. The dangles were individually created from black polymer clay, freehand etched and then hand painted with glistening colors with a metallic sheen. Bold curves and swirls are reminiscent of some of the more colorful art works of Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and others. Shimmering acrylic pigments in hot orange, gold, bronze, medium purple, turquoise blue and various greens were hand painted onto the dangles. I just wish the photos could show the amazing shimmer these earrings have! For a fun, boho look, the dangles are somewhat similar in design but are also uniquely different, as you can see in the photos. After the final curing of the dangles, several layers of crystal protectant were applied. The back side of each dangle is also painted and is signed by the artist. Since the dangles were created from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.

To perfectly complement the colors of the polymer clay dangles, orange carnelian gemstones were used. Just above the dangles are beautiful orange carnelian hand carved rounds that suggest flowers. The carbed rounds are mainly a rich medium orange but have natural lighter and darker swirls. Just above each carved carnelian flower, separated by two copper disc spacers, is a carnelian disc, also a medium orange with lighter colored swirls. Since both gemstones are translucent, they glow so prettily when the earrings are worn. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a copper bead accent finishes the earrings beautifully. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the COLORES BRILLIANTES were created for the woman who loves bold jewelry with a definite abstract art boho look. “Colores brilliantes” is Spanish for “brilliant colors.”

Irises Van Gogh Art Earrings, Blue Handmade Polymer Clay Jewelry Gift

The Irises handmade earrings feature polymer clay dangles with a permanent transfer of van Gogh's painting, Czech roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

The colorful IRISES handmade art earrings are inspired by the famous  1889 painting of the same name by Vincent van Gogh. The one of a kind earrings were created with rectangle-shaped polymer clay art dangles, glowing premium Czech glass roller beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The unique dangles are individually artisan crafted from high quality black polymer clay with a permanent van Gogh art transfer of a cropped version of his painting, “Irises.” The beautiful painting (one half on one earring, the other half on the other) depicts a bed of blue irises with one white flower against red ground in the front and a yellow and green background.  For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. A black border on the polymer clay rectangle dangles defines the beautiful floral scene. The backside of the dangles are black and inscribed with the artist’s mark. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. Please note: in the original painting, the white iris is on the left hand side.  To perfectly highlight the beautiful blues of the irises, premium quality Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals were used. Two roller beads are stacked on each other above the iris dangles. The faceted beads are a luscious translucent aqua blue color with a center of metallic copper which shows through as a light terracotta. When held up to the light, the beads positively glow, and since they are faceted, they add subtle sparkle. To add even more sparkle, a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal was nestled into each roller bead. The color is called “light sapphire,” a blue that mimics lighter sapphire precious gemstones. Sterling silver French hook earwires with a 4 mm light sapphire Swarovski on each finishes the earrings beautifully. Frida Kahlo Art Earrings, Self Portrait Polymer Clay Handmade Jewelry

The "Frida Preciosa" handmade earrings feature artisan polymer clay Frida dangles, magenta pink Czech glass roller beads and ruby Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

The one of a kind FRIDA PRECIOSA handmade earrings are so very well named: “”gorgeous Frida” or “precious Frida,” indeed! These enchanting Frida Kahlo earrings are based on a full length self portrait, sometimes called “Between the Curtains,” painted in 1947 and dedicated to her friend Leon Trotsky. In the painting, she wears a long peach and white embroidered skirt, fringed brown shawl and gold jewelry. The Frida dangles are artisan created from high quality, rectangular-shaped black polymer clay with a permanent art transfer. For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. The self portrait has been closely cropped to only show Frida’s beautifull face and a pink flower in her hair. A black border acts like a frame to highlight the art . As you can see in the photos, the dangles are mirror images of each other, but, in the original painting, she is gazing to the right. The roller beads were created from a gorgeous magenta pink and clear glass mix with a silver metallic center. They have a rustic finish to them to add an aged look, and, since they’re translucent, the beads absolutely glow when worn. And with the addition of facets, they also add subtle sparkle. And talking about sparkle, a single faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a rich, eye catching color called “ruby” red was stacked on top of each roller bead, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings. The "Soul of the Rose" handmade earrings feature artisan handmade ceramic drops inspired by a famous painting, Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique are jewelry for women.

What a look of ecstasy the lady has on her face as she breathes in deeply the scent of a rose. The exquisite art earrings feature romantic ceramic drops based on John William Waterhouse’s famous painting, THE SOUL OF THE ROSE (sometimes also called “My Sweet Rose”), pink glass roller beads with copper cores and Swarovski crystals. The rustic teardrops were individually artisan hand formed from earthstone ceramic and kiln fired with a high gloss glaze. Then a permanent ceramic decal with the woman and rose was applied and the drops were fired again with bronze luster. What rich detailing there is on the drops: an elegantly dressed woman with glowing red hair and rosy cheeks has pulled a pink rose to her face and deeply inhales the heady fragrance. The dangles are mirror images but the original painting has the woman facing left. The back of the dangles are finished with a rustic, shiny golden bronze glaze. Michelangelo Creation of Adam Art Earrings, Handmade Artisan Jewelry

The "Creation of Adam" handmade earrings feature artisan polymer clay with part of Michelangelo's iconic painting, black Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique art jewelry for women.

With a simple but powerful scene of two fingers almost touching, THE CREATION OF ADAM art earrings are based on the world famous fresco painting of the same name by Renaissance sculptor, painter, architect and poet Michelangelo. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan created polymer clay rectangles, black Czech glass roller beads with a Picasso finish and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The art dangles were individually created from high quality black polymer clay formed in a rectangular shape that was applied with a permanent art transfer and given several coats of varnish for durability and shine.  The scene is of two outstretched hands, fingers about to touch, against a pale blue and off white sky. The earrings show just a small portion of the much larger iconic fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, painted by Michelangelo in 1511. The fresco illustrates the Bible’s creation story from the Book of Genesis where God is just at the point of giving the spark of life to Adam, the first man, by touching his outstretched finger. The Creation of Adam is the fourth scene in the Genesis frescoes painted by Michelangelo on the ceiling between 1508-1512. To perfectly highlight the simple color combination of Michelangelo’s painting, premium quality faceted Czech glass roller beads and glittering Swarovski crystals were used. Two faceted Czech roller beads were stacked on top of the dangles. They were created with opaque black glass with a rustic, mossy looking Picasso finish of pale lichen green, pale aqua and beige. Representing stars in the sky, nestled into the top black roller bead is a mega-sparkle Swarovski crystal bicone with a color shifting aurora borealis rainbow finish. Since the roller bead and Swarovski crystals are faceted, they provide plenty of eye catching sparkle at each movement. El Paso Artists Studio Tour 2019

The 12th Annual El Paso Artists Studio Tour starts this Saturday!  Over 40 artists at 19 studios will participate, bringing unique art to art lovers . . . and also food, drink, and in some instances, entertainment. The Studio Tour takes place over the course of two weekends:

El Paso’s Westside and Upper Valley is Saturday, April 27 (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday, April 28 (noon - 5 pm).

El Paso’s East, Central, Downton, Northeast and Mission Valley is Saturday, May 4 (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday, May 5 (noon - 5 pm).
