Perfect jewelry for the woman who loves lightweight, boho style earrings inspired by a famous artist, the colorful RED POPPIES earrings will be treasured by any art lover and worn time and time again. Long and dangly, the one of a kind earrings feature Gustav Klimt inspired red poppy garden polymer clay dangles and amber resin Tibetan beads. The amazing Klimt influenced dangles were individually artisan made from black polymer clay. The multicolored poppy design was drawn freehand into the clay, shimmering acrylic pigments were hand painted in layers for depth and two layers of a crystal protectant were added for many years of wearing enjoyment. The unique hand painted design is filled with vibrant orange red poppies with sweeping swirls in complementing aqua blue, orange, copper and gold pigments.  A black “frame” enhances the flowers. The back side is finished in mixed metallic pigments with the artist’s mark. As you can see, the dangles are different but similar in design. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  Stacked above the red poppy dangles, perfectly highlighting them, are Tibetan resin beads and glowing orange Czech glass beads. Handmade by artisans in Nepal in the traditional manner of mixing resin with amber dust, the vintage-look Tibetan beads are a rich honey amber color that are somewhat translucent. Adding even more eye interest, the resin beads are inlaid around the middle with dotted brass wire. Stacked above each Tibetan bead, separated by a copper disc spacer, is a single translucent orange Czech glass bead with a light metallic finish that glows beautifully when the earrings are worn.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the RED POPPIES handmade earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves art jewelry, especially those inspired by the flower garden paintings of Gustav Klimt.

Chunky Tribal Necklace, Vintage Resin Bone Howlite Handmade Jewelry

The "Tribal Adventure" handmade necklace feature vintage resin beads, African batik bone beads and turquoise howlite - unique jewelry for women.

Filled with fabulous ethnic boho vibes, the chunky TRIBAL ADVENTURE necklace definitely makes a unique eye catching statement whenever worn (which will be often!). The one of a kind necklace features three vintage rondelle shaped black and white striped resin beads, black and white African batik horn beads and turquoise howlite gemstones. The three striped focal beads were upcycled from a vintage necklace and mimic African batik beads. Created from man made resin, they are in excellent shape and show very little wear and sport a high gloss finish.  To perfectly highlight the vintage resin beads, six fair trade batik bone beads were used, each individually handmade by members of an African artists co-op in Ghana. They are black with white accents and hints of dark brown. The batik beads are a unique shape: roundish but with three large “facets” cut on each end adding wonderful eye interest and texture. Beautiful turquoise howlite gemstone rounds separated the vintage beads and batik beads. Howlite is naturally and off white stone with gray to black matix. Since howlite takes a dye easily, it can be found in a wide variety of colors, such as these soft turquoise colored beauties.
