Mother of Pearl Rose Necklace, Purple Pearls Handmade Flower Jewelry

The "Garden of the Ocean" handmade necklace features a glowing hand carved mother of pearl rose pendant, purple pearls, pewter lantern beads and sterling silver. 

With a radiant mother of pearl shell flower pendant, the GARDEN OF THE OCEAN handmade necklace makes an absolutely delightful statement whenever worn. The one of a kind necklace features a glowing white mother of pearl carved pendant, rich purple baroque pearls and lead free pewter lantern beads. A beautiful hand carved rose with flowing petals and a stem with two leaves can be found in the middle of the mother of pearl pendant. A line was carved all along the outer edge. Because of the carving, the pendant has beautiful texture which is highlighted when the light hits it just right. Unfortunately, the photos don’t show just how luminous the natural radiance of the shell is as the light plays across it. It’s almost as if the pendant has its own internal light source! The back is silky smooth and slightly concave. For security, a heavy duty sterling silver jump ring attaches the pendant to the main body of the necklace.

To highlight the pendant perfectly, rich purple freshwater pearls make up the main body of the necklace.  Since the large beauties are more oval shape, with many having natural ridges, they are called baroque pearls.  Between each set of three pearls at the front of the necklace are glowing pewter lantern beads separated by sterling silver daisy spacers and small sterling beads.  Each pearl is separated from the other with sterling silver beads for a sinuous feel. Turquoise Patina Butterfly Earrings, Boho Copper Spiral Handmade Jewelry

The unique "Turquoise Butterflies" boho earrings feature artisan handmade turquoise patina charms with copper swirls and Mykonos butterflies.

The TURQUOISE BUTTERFLIES handmade earrings feature cheerful Mykonos butterfly charms hanging in front of rich turquoise patinated copper dangles with hand formed copper swirls. Fun, boho jewelry, the one of a kind earrings will certainly be noticed each and every time you wear them! Individually artisan handmade, the copper trapezoids (the bottom is wider than the top) charms were given a rustic turquoise patina, reminiscent of the rich colors of old copper roofs in Europe and other historic buildings. The turquoise color runs from dark to light with some of the dark copper showing through. To add extra eye appeal, shiny copper spirals and swirls were added to the top of the trapezoid, a perfect color complement against the turquoise. The back of each is shiny copper with dots and splotches of patina. Since the turquoise patinated charms were individually created, they are very similar in design but not exactly the same.

Copper swirls that were individually formed grace the top of the patina charms and Mykonos butterflies add lots of movement to the earrings design.

To add whimsy and fun to the earrings, butterflies were wire wrapped to the end of a spiral. The beautiful butterfly charms were cast on the Greek island of Mykonos, created from a lead free pewter base and then covered with a layer of pure copper. The copper then was given a turquoise patina to bring out the incredible detail of the butterflies. Because of the way the charms are wire wrapped they seem to flitter at each movement of the earrings. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the earrings perfectly. Blue & White Boho Chic Dangle Earrings

- Artisan Tin Floral Charms, OOAK -

These unique boho chic earrings feature handcrafted floral tin charms, blue wooden rounds, white bone heishi spacers, and sterling silver elements. The highlight here is the pair of floral charms, which were artisan-upcycled from a vintage English tin. The artisan did a lovely job of smoothing the edges, and the result is a stylish, lightweight focal twosome. Their design is somewhat abstract and suggests budding white flowers against a blue sky.

To complement the blue and white of the focals, I chose the wooden rounds and bone spacers. Hidden inside the wood are Japanese seed beads, to keep the rounds straight on their earring pins. Sterling silver spacers and petalled bead caps add extra shine to the design.

The earring hooks are sterling silver, and decorated by me with clear Swarovski bicone crystals for a sparkling accent. The length here is approximately 2.25 inches, including the earrings hooks.

Elegant, earthy, and eye-catching, these one-of-a-kind boho chic earrings would make a lovely addition to any collection of statement jewelry. Celebrate Queen Esther and Mordechai who saved the Jews from extinction when you hear the Megillah at synagogue. 

Purim begins in 2019 at sundown on Wed. March 20 and continues through Thursday, March 21 at sundown.

The heroes of the Purim story are Esther, a beautiful young Jewish woman living in Persia, and her cousin Mordecai, who raised her as if she were his daughter. Esther was taken to the house of Ahasuerus, King of Persia, to become part of his harem. King Ahasuerus loved Esther more than his other women and made Esther queen, but the king did not know that Esther was a Jew, because Mordecai told her not to reveal her identity.

It's a joyous Jewish holiday where drinking is encouraged, people dress up in costumes, and make a lot of noise.

I handcrafted these French hoop earrings using bronze color craft wire. I added pearls to headpins then attached them to a jumpring to hang beautifully from the ear wires.

African Opal and Red Garnet Gemstone Necklace, Earthy Handmade Jewelry

The "Simple Pleasures" handmade necklace features earthy African opal ovals and two shapes of red garnet.

Earthy African opal combined with glowing red garnet creates a beautiful handmade necklace you will want to wear time and time again. Due to its neutral color, the gemstone necklace can be worn dress up or dress down and is named SIMPLE PLEASURES. The seven eye catching African opal gemstones at the front of the necklace have a background of creamy beige. Swirling veins of brick red, green, darker brown and black run through the polished beads, each one different from the other. A few have translucent areas and one even has small druzy inclusions. The shape of the African opal is a four sided oval, the sides catching and reflecting the light as the necklace is worn. The gemstones are capped on each side with sterling silver daisy spacers.

Seven beautiful African opals, separated by red garnet rounds, make up the front of the necklace - each one is unique in its coloration.

Between each African opal oval are round rich red garnet rounds and small sterling silver beads. To add amazing texture to the necklace design, red garnet pebbles finish the back of the necklace, each grouping separated by a small sterling beads. The BIRDS OF A FEATHER handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift idea for the woman who is a birder or just loves birds! The fun, one of a kind earrings feature vintage tea tin charms with a whimsical nuthatch design. To simply and perfectly complement the birds, three Swarovski crystals hang in a cluster below the dangles. The whimsical bird on the charms is a nuthatch, perhaps a pygmy nuthatch, in a pose that is so evocative of the tiny bird as it creeps up and down a tree searching for insects.
