Spiral Seashell Ceramic Earrings, Green Pink Purple Handmade Jewelry

The "Spiraling Away" handmade earrings were created with artisan ceramic spiral seashell drops, magenta pink roller beads and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

Spirals are some of the oldest geometric shapes found in ancient artwork the world over. They date back to at least the Neolithic period, thousands of years before writing. Spirals are also found in nature, such as on seashells as the unique SPIRALING AWAY earrings represent. The one of a kind beauties were created with artisan ceramic seashell dangles with a spiral on each, premium magenta pink and silver Czech glass roller beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The spiral drops were individually artisan hand formed with earthstone ceramic, and then kiln fired at high heat with a gloss glaze and bronze clay. A spiral seashell decal was applied and the drops were fired again with lustre. The back was scorched to a shimmery rainbow finish. As you can see, the purple / fuchsia spirals are very colorful against a green and pale lime green background. One spiral curves on way; one spirals the other way, almost a mirror image. Since the spiral drops were individually artisan created, they are very similar in design, but not exactly the same - something that is wonderful about handmade items!  To perfectly complement the gorgeous fuschia and purple in the spirals, Czech glass roller beads and Swarovski crystals were used. The premium roller beads are an eye catching magenta pink and clear glass mix. The center has a silver metallic finish which adds great depth to the beads. Since the roller beads are faceted, they add subtle sparkle to the design. Stacked on top of each roller bead, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer, are super sparkly 6mm Swarovski crystals in a rich “amethyst” purple color. A 4 mm amethyst Swarovski crystals was added to the sterling silver French hook earwires for additional sparkle. Spiral Sun Pendant Necklace, Polymer Clay Petroglyph Handmade Jewelry

The "Desert Sun" handmade necklace features an artisan spiral sun pendant, carnelian gemstones and copper - unique Southwest inspired jewelry.

Filled with an ancient wonder of the magic of petroglyphs, the DESERT SUN handmade necklace is a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves the beauty of the Desert Southwest. The unique necklace features a one of a kind, artisan spiral sun pendant created from polymer clay, two sizes of carnelian and copper. Inspired by Anasazi petroglyphs found painted on canyon walls and caves in the Four Corners area, spiral suns are a symbol of healing and also represent the natural movements and rhythms of life, the constant motion of the universe. The  rustically shaped pendant has a freehand hand carved spiral sun design on white polymer clay. After curing, the pendant was painted w/ earthy desert colored pigments.  A very light coat of a sealer was applied to keep the colors bright for years to come. The backside of the pendant is  inscribed with the artist’s mark, a spiral P.   Two sizes of carnelian gemstones perfectly highlight the earthy petroglyph pendant. As you can see in the photos, the carnelian ranges in colors from dark orange to almost white. The larger round gemstones are faceted for subtle sparkle. Between each faceted stone are a single carnelian round.   A copper s-clap with a raised design finishes the beautiful necklace. When you pair a beautifully rustic pendant with sleek, earthy gemstones, you can’t help but to create visual goodness! The GOLD RUSH SPIRALS handmade necklace proves that. The one of a kind necklace features an artisan created pendant, fancy jasper ovals and freshwater pearls. As you can see in the photos, the rustic pendant is very unique, looking like an old artefact from times past. Created from off white polymer clay, the pendant features an eye catching textured design of sacred spirals, glittering gold flakes and a small, round cut out. Reminiscent of flakes of gold floating down a river filled with spiraling eddies and whirlpools, the pendant was carefully hand painted in pale mossy greens, dark mauve and dark browns above; the lower half was left the natural color, the spirals enhanced with brown. The gold flakes are painted in a reflective antique gold color which subtly catches the light and shines when the pendant is turned this way and that. The back is smooth with a pale wash of green and peach. To perfectly enhance the necklace, fancy jasper ovals and glowing freshwater pearls were used. Fancy jasper, a gorgeous semi-precious gemstone, is known for its rich, earthy color palette of mauves, lilacs, creams, browns and greens, sometimes all mixed together in the same stone. Eighteen glossy fancy jasper ovals were used, each oval separated by shiny freshwater pearls that are a pale mauve color, matching the mauves of the pendant. The luster of the pearls is exquisite - you can see my reflection in many of the pearls in the photos. Small copper beads separate the pearls from the jasper. Southwest Spirals Earrings, Rustic Polymer Clay Turquoise Jewelry Gift

The "Desert Canyonlands" handmade earrings feature artisan polymer clay petroglyph spiral dangles, artisan  lampwork glass beads and genuine turquoise - unique jewelry for women.

Filled with the weathered, organic look of petroglyphs found in a deep canyon in the Desert Southwest, the DESERT CANYONLANDS are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who loves rustic looking, artisan jewelry. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan polymer clay dangles, artisan lampwork glass beads and genuine turquoise. The dangles were individually handmade from a single piece of white polymer clay, the swirling spiral design drawn freehand and then incised. The polymer clay was then cut in half, washed with dark brown and rusty copper acrylic pigments, and after the final curing, a crystal protectant was applied. Because the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  To perfectly complement the Southwest feel of the petroglyph design, speckled brown lampwork glass beads and genuine turquoise was used. The lampwork beads, also artisan handmade, were created from clear glass that was peppered with brown glass frit to make dots and splotches, perfect with the small dots on the polymer clay dangles. Stacked on the lampwork beads are genuine turquoise gemstone rounds, separated by copper daisy spacers. The turquoise has more of a greenish cast with a bit of pale brown. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique DESERT CANYONLANDS definitely evoke the spirit of the Desert Southwest for the woman who enjoys wearing artisan jewelry.

Spiral Healers Hand Earrings, Mykonos Aqua Lampwork Handmade Jewelry

The "Spiral Hands" handmade earrings feature Mykonos healer's hand spiral charms, artisan lampwork beads and Czech glass - unique jewelry for her.

The meaningful healer’s hand with a spiral in the palm used in the SPIRAL HANDS handmade earrings is believed to be a powerful symbol of protection and healing. The small, two-sided spiral healer’s hand charms used in the one of a kind earrings are copper over pewter and were made on the island of Mykonos in Greece by artisans. The rustic hands were given an aqua turquoise patina to add a look of ageless beauty to them. Turquoise Patina Butterfly Earrings, Boho Copper Spiral Handmade Jewelry

The unique "Turquoise Butterflies" boho earrings feature artisan handmade turquoise patina charms with copper swirls and Mykonos butterflies.

The TURQUOISE BUTTERFLIES handmade earrings feature cheerful Mykonos butterfly charms hanging in front of rich turquoise patinated copper dangles with hand formed copper swirls. Fun, boho jewelry, the one of a kind earrings will certainly be noticed each and every time you wear them! Individually artisan handmade, the copper trapezoids (the bottom is wider than the top) charms were given a rustic turquoise patina, reminiscent of the rich colors of old copper roofs in Europe and other historic buildings. The turquoise color runs from dark to light with some of the dark copper showing through. To add extra eye appeal, shiny copper spirals and swirls were added to the top of the trapezoid, a perfect color complement against the turquoise. The back of each is shiny copper with dots and splotches of patina. Since the turquoise patinated charms were individually created, they are very similar in design but not exactly the same.

Copper swirls that were individually formed grace the top of the patina charms and Mykonos butterflies add lots of movement to the earrings design.

To add whimsy and fun to the earrings, butterflies were wire wrapped to the end of a spiral. The beautiful butterfly charms were cast on the Greek island of Mykonos, created from a lead free pewter base and then covered with a layer of pure copper. The copper then was given a turquoise patina to bring out the incredible detail of the butterflies. Because of the way the charms are wire wrapped they seem to flitter at each movement of the earrings. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the earrings perfectly. Bronze Spirals and Dichroic Pendant Necklace, Nepal Sherpa Glass Handmade Jewelry

The Ancient Voices necklace features an artisan bronze spirals and dichroic pendant with Sherpa beads and black onyx.  

The ANCIENT VOICES handmade pendant necklace is definitely a piece of jewelry filled with beauty and wonder! The one of a kind necklace features a bronze pendant covered in swirling spirals and a glowing dichroic glass cabochon, vintage Nepali Sherpa glass tube beads, black onyx and copper. The pendant was artisan crafted from pure bronze and is covered with spirals, an ancient, sacred symbol that represents the unfolding changes during the journey of life. Centered in the middle of the pendant is a magical looking dichroic glass cabochon that capture the light and radiates many colors: aqua, turquoise, dark navy blue, grass green, orange, pink, white and other colors depending on how the angle of the light hits the glass.

Such a unique artisan handmade bronze spirals and dichroic pendant! 

To perfectly complement the bronze pendant, turquoise blue and black glass tube beads and two sizes (5 mm and 3 mm) of round black onyx gemstones were used. The vintage tube beads were individually handmade from recycled glass by Sherpas in Nepal - just imagine the hands that made these wondrous beads! Since the beads were fire cured, they have a gorgeous, organic look. Because of the handmade nature, each vintage Sherpa bead is slightly different in size and shape, so they don’t lay in a “perfect” line, as you can see in the photos, giving a wonderfully rustic flair to the design. Between each group of Sherpa beads is a single round 5 mm black onyx gemstone capped on each end with a small copper disc spacer. The smaller black onyx beads and a copper toggle clasp set finishes the back of the unique necklace.
