Red Bead Hoop Earrings, Large Hole Dark Blue Flower Bead Earrings, Lampwork Bumpy Bead Earrings

I made these earrings by hand by forming a firm, 20 gauge wire into hoop shapes while beading on a large hole, silver-lined lampwork flower beads, and red Czech pressed glass round beads. The large hole beads are placed in the center of the hoop. These beads have a lovely bumpy flower surface with red, blue, green and yellow colors. The earring wires are non-nickel, suitable for those who are allergic to other metals. The size of the beads and the length of earrings are given below.

A beautiful, bright and lively pair of earrings that are one of a kind, with only one pair for sale.

Be sure to view all 10 photos. There is one with a ruler, a quarter, one in a model's hand, and one showing a close up of the large hole lampwork flower beads.
  • Earrings dangle: 2 1/4”
  • Red Czech pressed round glass beads: 6 mm
  • Large hole lampwork glass flower beads: 10 mm x 14 mm
  • Hoops measure: 1 1/4” round

Fossil Shell Turritella Agate Earrings
- Tridacna Beads, Spiral Accent, Boho Chic Jewelry -

none

These unique fossil shell earrings feature turritella agate beads, tridacna white rounds, rhodium-on-pewter hoops, and sterling silver earring hooks. The turritella beads are agatized snail-shell fossils cut in the form of puffed ovals. Their mineralized remains represent creatures that lived over 40 million years ago, and each bead has its own individual pattern of shapes. The two focals of these earrings are therefore not identical, but they are perfect complements for each other.

To enhance these wonderful focals, I selected another treasure from the sea: tridacna shell beads. Processed from the shells of giant clams, tridacna is supposedly the whitest substance in the world and makes a nice match with the fossil beads, bringing out their lighter patterns. The hammered rhodium-on-pewter (by Tierracast, made in USA), suggest circlets of moving water, and I chose them to deepen the conceptual aspect and design of the earrings.

This earthy elegant pair measures 2.25 inches in length and also includes:
• Sterling silver rondelle spacer beads (made in Italy)
• Silver-plated pins with my handcrafted spirals
• Sterling silver jump rings in two sizes
• Sterling silver earring wires with bead accents

A unique and thought-provoking example of wearable history, these turritella fossil and tridacna earrings would make a fantastic gift for anyone who loves paleontology and geology or who simply finds fossils and the primeval world interesting and meaningful. They were designed and handmade beaded by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for their destined wearer. They come on a PrettyGonzo earrings card and gift-wrapped in a nice organza bag, all set for giving to someone special—perhaps yourself!

ABOUT TURRITELLA AGATE
This agate is a brown stone embedded with the white to tan fossilized shells of snails that lived over 40 million years ago. The name of this type of agate is a misnomer: Turritella was an ancient marine snail, but the fossils here are mineralized freshwater snails. A type of chalcedony, and thus a member of the quartz family, turritella agate is traditionally considered a stone of healing and wisdom. Some people see it as a talisman—a protective stone—and source of strength. Probably because it holds the vestiges of ancient life, Turritella also is considered a stone of survival. Today, most agate of this kind is mined in Wyoming.

ABOUT TRIDACNA BEADS
These beads are made from the shell of a giant marine clam in the tridacna family of mollusks. Tridacna is considered the whitest substance on Earth and is very strong. Beads of this type of shell were popular in the ancient kingdoms of China. They are sometimes used in Tibetan Buddhist mala beads. Some people believe that tridacna confers a calming effect on its wearer, helping to balance out instability between the mind and body.

Mediterranean Inspired Statement Necklace
- Turquoise, Coral, White Colors; Greek Spiral Pendant -

https://www.etsy.com/prettygonzo/listing/240169287/spiral-pendant-beaded-statement-necklace?ref=shop_home_feat_4&frs=1

This colorful artisan necklace features an eye-catching Mykonos spiral pendant, red coral pearls, white quartz, turquoise magnesite and howlite, and copper-colored Japanese seed beads. The spiral pendant was made in Greece and has a stylish rustic look. Its wavy spiral image reminds me of ancient treasure from the depths of the Mediterranean. The pendant also evokes the waves of the sea and the turning of our world and our lives.

This one-of-a-kind handmade necklace is 21 inches long and includes:
• Red coral pearls from Swarovski
• Oval turquoise magnesite beads
• Heishi-style turquoise howlite
• White quartz rondelles and rounds
• Copper glass Japanese seed beads
• High-quality 49-strand beading wire
• Copper-plated bead caps
• Sterling silver crimps
• Copper crimp covers and wire guards
• Copper-plated TierraCast jump rings

The clasp used here is a copper-tone hook and eye, with sweet leafy detailing that reminds me of certain types of seaweed. A close up is inset into one of my photos.

With evocations of the Mediterranean and inspired by the Earth's precious waters, this is the perfect necklace for anyone who loves the sea and the meaningful symbol of the spiral. Handmade by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer, this beauty will come wrapped and ready for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself! :)

ABOUT THE SPIRAL SYMBOL
The spiral is such a special shape, with an amazing dynamic quality that expresses movement and growth. The spiral can be seen in the form of immense cosmic galaxies as well as in the relatively tiny whorls of a human fingerprint and the microscopic structure of DNA. We see spiraling shapes in certain seashells and plants, and since ancient times, the human imagination has found symbolic meaning in spirals in and across a wide variety of cultures. Possible interpretations of spirals as symbols include growth, fertility, the journey through life, time and its passage, the journey beyond life, the sun, protection against evil, and infinity. In every sense, the spiral is a positive symbol!

Dragonfly Leather Beaded Boho Necklace
- Woodland Statement Jewelry -

https://www.etsy.com/prettygonzo/listing/551255684/dragonfly-necklace-leather-beaded?ref=shop_home_active_24&frs=1

This boho statement necklace features a bold green dragonfly pendant, Mykonos ceramic beads, carnelian gemstone rounds, and shiny pewter beads. The pendant was beautifully made in the USA by a polymer-clay artisan, and depicts a stamped dragonfly with its wings outstretched against a radiant circle of sunlight. It is a genuine eye-catcher and highly positive symbol.

The pendant is combined with the following to create a one-of-a-kind boho tribal piece with woodland suggestions:
• Pewter round beads with sun symbol
• Forest green and lime green Mykonos ceramic beads (made in Greece)
• Rich carnelian round beads
• Pewter daisy spacer beads
• Pewter knobbed rondelle spacers
• Sterling silver jump ring
• Stainless steel lobster clasp
• Three-inch extender chain
• Genuine brown leather (made in the USA)
• Pewter cord ends

All of these elements were chosen to enhance the pendant and bring color and balance to the entire piece. The necklace's basic length is approximately 24 inches, with 3 inches more added by the extender chain.

Bright and bold, with bohemian styling and an inspirational dragonfly pendant, this special OOAK piece was handmade beaded by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes tucked into an eco-friendly box and wrapped for giving. It would make a perfect gift for anyone who loves dragonflies and would appreciate its positive meaning and encouragement toward self-growth. Perhaps that someone is you!

About the Dragonfly Symbol
Dragonflies symbolize the discovery of the self and self-identity and the development of insight into the truth beyond distracting illusions. Because of their relatively brief life as adult insects, dragonflies also evoke the ancient Roman motto "Carpe diem" ("Seize the day"). As symbols, these beautiful creatures inspire us to live life as fully as possible and to realize that personal growth is an important part of our lives.

About Carnelian
Lovely warm carnelian belongs to the quartz family and is a type of chalcedony. A rich and regal-looking gemstone, it has been used for jewelry since ancient times. Traditional beliefs associate it with healing, courage building, fear dispelling, and protection against negative forces (as a talisman). It is also believed to focus energy and sharpen mental clarity in preparation for action.

Mother Goddess Statement Necklace
- Venus Symbol Fertility Jewelry -

https://www.etsy.com/prettygonzo/listing/594627527/mother-goddess-necklace-unique-statement?ref=shop_home_active_15&frs=1

This handmade statement necklace combines a unique mother goddess pendant with African jade beads and freshwater pearls in a meaningful jewelry creation. The pendant, crafted in the USA by a polymer-clay artisan, depicts a goddess figure whose midsection is decorated with a spiral—a sign of fertility. She is nicely molded in partial relief and highlighted with silver coloring against an oval base of honey-shaded gold. This well-made and durable pendant is attached to the necklace strand with a sterling jump ring.

The African jade beads are barrel-shaped and green, reflective of the fertility association, and are decorated at both ends by sterling silver petalled bead caps. The freshwater pearls are light green and deep gold, the latter complementing the gold color in the pendant. The length of the necklace is approximately 21.5 inches. The metal beads, clasp, and finishing components are all sterling silver.

With its eye-catching combination of elegance and tribal style, this necklace would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves unique handmade jewelry that is also symbolically meaningful. It is also nice for anyone who wants to celebrate maternal power and the fertility of women and nature, including those on neo-pagan spiritual pathways. Designed and handmade beaded by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer, this statement necklace comes all wrapped and ready for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself!

About the Mother Goddess Design
Interestingly, the mother-goddess design originated in ancient times and is based on carvings from the Upper Paleolithic and Neolithic ages. This goddess was associated with fertility, creation, maternal power, earth, and nature itself, and many ancient artifacts of her have been discovered in Anatolia, Eastern Europe, Egypt, and the Near East. Archaeologists sometimes refer to these ancient physical renderings as "Venus" figures. Many contemporary pagans consider the Mother Goddess sacred and thus have brought renewed respect to a highly meaningful figure who was widely worshipped in ancient times.

Egyptian Ankh Statement Necklace
with Eye of Horus Life Symbol Amulet

This ankh necklace with Eye of Horus amulet would make the perfect gift for anyone who loves boho or tribal styling as well as meaningful jewelry with historical links. The ankh is an ancient symbol that stands for eternal life. Here it is used as a creative base for several Egyptian hieroglyphics, which are shown in relief on the front of the pendant and as etchings on the back. I've included close-ups of both sides among my shop listing's photographs. Central among those hieroglyphics is the Eye of Horus, which is featured on the amulet's front and shown in smaller form on the back. It symbolizes good health, protection, and royal power and represents the goddess Wadjet.

Meaningful, with ancient symbols, an inspirational depth, and tribal and boho elements, this ankh beaded necklace was handmade by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It is a piece that men would enjoy wearing as well as women, and that brings a positive message to all. It will arrive in an eco-friendly kraft-style box, wrapped and ready for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself!

About the Ankh Symbol
The ankh is an ancient Egyptian symbol for eternal life, and it is a common element in the art of Egypt during the time of the pharaohs. It is also found on amulets from that historical period. This symbol appears in some ancient Mediterranean cultures as well. For example, in ancient Cyprus, ankhs appeared on coins and were used as a symbol for copper. The ankh enjoyed renewed popularity in the 1960s and is still popular today. It is a highly meaningful and positive element as well as an attractive shape in itself.
