The rich looking earrings feature transparent artisan lampwork glass beads and sparkling Swarovski crystals, two shades of purple in one pair of earrings. Individually artisan handmade, the lampwork beads were created from transparent medium amethyst colored glass. To add even more beauty, a fine silver was added to the middle of each bead when the glass was molten, created random raised dots and lines. Since the purple lampwork beads are transparent, the capture and radiate the light, positively glowing when worn! Adding even more interest to the overall design are glowing pewter flower bead caps which embrace the top and bottom of each bead.  To dazzle the eye even further, a faceted 6 mm Swarovski crystal bicone was added to the top of the amethyst purple beads. Chevron amethyst (sometimes called banded amethyst) is a combination of purple amethyst and white quartz.  The mix of minerals sometimes makes a striped or v-banded pattern with colors ranging from dark purple through lavender, beige and white. Buddha Yoga Earrings Amethyst Crown Chakra Meditation Handmade Jewelry

The meaningful "Meditation" handmade earrings feature artisan copper Buddha charms and faceted purple amethyst gemstones - perfect yoga jewelry for women.

Filled with the serenity of a meditating Buddha, the well named MEDITATION handmade earrings are meaningful gift idea for the woman who practices yoga, meditates or is a Buddhist. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan copper Buddha dangles and faceted purple amethyst coin gemstones. The Buddha charms were handmade from beginning to end from copper metal clay: shaped, carved, fired in a kiln and then given a warm copper patina. The solid copper Buddhas are raised against the background in a modified meditative lotus pose. As you can see, the details of the design are amazing. The charms are slightly domed and the back is fairly smooth, but you can still see a bit of the Buddha design (see photo # 8). Since the Buddhas were individually created, they are very similar but also a bit different, something that makes them truly unique!  To represent the crown chakra, our connection to the universal energy or life force, translucent violet purple amethyst gemstones was wire wrapped above the Buddha charms. The shape of the amethyst is a thick coin circle shape and they are faceted, lending subtle sparkle to the earring design. Since the amethyst is translucent, they positively glow when the earrings are worn. Praying Man Woman Necklace, Amethyst Medieval Religious Jewelry Gift

The "Prayers" handmade necklace features an artisan designed and hand cast prayer figure pendant in a Medieval Gothic style and star cut amethyst - religious jewelry for women.

So reminiscent of a medieval cathedral or church window, the PRAYERS handmade necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who loves to wear unique religious jewelry. The one of a kind necklace features an artisan-designed and hand cast pewter pendant with the rustic figure of a praying man or woman in an arch. Sparkling star cut amethyst, star cut pewter beads and sterling silver complement the pendant. The shape of the pendant, a lancet arch, is found on many cathedrals and churches built in the Gothic style, and are very common even today. The lancet arch has many architectural uses but the point at the top of the arch also symbolizes prayers going straight to heaven. Inside the arch is a praying figure, standing in flowing robes with hands folded at the chest. A set of thick vines behind the figure also creates a natural arch.  Richly hued natural amethyst gemstone beads gives the necklace a royal feel. The dark purple amethyst is “star cut” with triangular facets on every side for maximum sparkle. The amethyst was placed in groups of three to represent the Holy Trinity - there are six groups on each side of the necklace. A small sterling silver bead separates each gemstone. Celtic Knot Triquestra Boho Dangle Earrings

- Amethyst, Carnelian, Rainforest Jasper Gemstones -

These earthy Celtic knot gemstone earrings are inspired by the Irish countryside and perfect for gift giving to anyone who loves Ireland. Their boho chic styling gives them a nice versatility for dressy or casual wear. The main feature of these handmade dangles are two oval rainforest jasper beads, one on each earring. This gemstone has variations in color shading as well as inclusions of quartz and other minerals; thus each bead is a one-of-a-kind creation of Mother Nature. These two beads complement each other well and are interesting in their patterning.

Under the jasper ovals dangle the Celtic knot charms, small but shiny and beautifully detailed with a triple loop eternal knot, also known as a triquestra or Celtic triad. Above the ovals are faceted amethyst and faceted carnelian beauties. Also included in these earrings are sterling silver round beads and beadcaps and sterling silver earring hooks with clear ear guards.

The length here is just under 2.25 inches, including the earring hooks.

ABOUT THE CELTIC TRIAD SYMBOL
The Celtic triad symbol, aka the triquestra, is frequently found in Irish Christian art, including the Book of Kells, where it symbolizes the Holy Trinity. In this way, it is similar to the shamrock, which Saint Patrick employed in his teachings on the Trinity. The triad is typically incorporated in the building of other images, such as the Cross. As an ancient pagan symbol, it has possible connections to the Celtic Brigid, a triple-aspect goddess that some believe is an earlier, pre-Christian precursor of Saint Brigid. It may also represent the Maiden, Mother, and Crone aspect of the Goddess in neo-Paganism. Generally, it's a symbol of "threeness" - from love, hope and charity to childhood, adulthood, and old age. In any form, it has an illustrious history and is quite meaningful.

A pair of purple and green lampwork glass beads teams with faceted purple amethyst to create these intriguing handmade earrings, appropriately named WISTERIA. Eye catching, one of a kind earrings for spring and summer wear, they will make a lovely floral inspired jewelry gift for Easter, Mother’s Day, a birthday . . . or just because. The individually artisan handmade lampwork glass beads started out as opaque white glass. While still in their molten stage, dark purple, lavender and green frit was added to give the enchanting speckled look, so reminiscent of the purples and greens of a blooming wisteria vine. Lead free pewter bead caps with a leaf design caps the top and bottom of the lampwork glass beads to continue the floral fee of the earrings.

The lampwork glass beads were individually handmade from white glass with purple and green frit to add the speckles.

Stacked on top of each lampwork bead is a rich purple amethyst rondelle. Since the amethyst gemstones are faceted and translucent, they provide subtle sparkle and glow to the overall earring design when worn. Each amethyst bead is capped with a leaf bead cap, the same used on the lampwork beads, and a small sterling silver bead. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the design professionally. These gorgeous purple lampwork beads were handmade using transparent medium amethyst glass. It is the third or next to the darkest of the amethyst group of glass. These purple handmade lampwork beads have a shiny glass bead finish.

About Bastet, the Ancient Egyptian Cat Goddess

In ancient Egypt, cats were considered sacred, their status as dieties well established by the third century BC. They were likely accorded this honor because of their essential role in controlling rats and other vermin, and because they were capable of overpowering snakes, including cobras—an impressive feat. Bastet was a prominent cat goddess during the first millennium BC. She had evolved from an earlier Lower-Kingdom incarnation, Bast, a lioness warrior diety.

Bastet could be depicted fully as a cat or, especially later in ancient Egyptian history, represented as a woman with a cat's head. Over time, she became associated with motherhood, kittens sometimes added to her imagery. As a maternal figure, Bastet became a good luck figure in women's amulet jewelry. During the Greek Ptolemaic Dynasty in Egypt (305 BC to 30 BC), Bastet became syncretized with the Greek moon goddess, Artemis, further solidifying her role as a special figure for women.

About Amethyst

A member of the quartz family, amethyst is traditionally considered a protective, talismanic stone. The name amethyst comes from the Greek word "amethusos," which means "not drunk." The gemstone is associated with the crown chakra, and is the birthstone for February. Amethysts are actually crystals and often have inclusions, clouding, and other interesting elements to them, as well as various shadings of their distinctive purple color.
