Big and bold and oh, so beautiful, the RED HOT handmade necklace surely will make a statement each and every time it is worn. Jewelry for the woman who loves to wear one of a kind designs and loves the color combination of red and black, the necklace features large red magnesite rounds, black onyx discs and sterling silver. The large rounds are magnesite, a gemstone that is naturally an off white color with brown veins. Since it takes a dye easily, you often can find it in various colors, including red. Eleven permanently dyed red magnesite rounds make up the front of the necklace. The color is a rich, eye-catching red, each stone with darker veining, some with more, some less. The finish of the gemstones is glossy, oftentimes reflecting the light.  So that the unique necklace drapes gracefully, a single, high shine black onyx disc is found between each red magnesite round. A 3 mm sterling silver bead is found on each side of the discs. Three groups of five black onyx discs finish the back of the necklace, each group separated by a sterling bead. To securely clasp the necklace, a lovely sterling silver hook clasp set with hammered texture was used. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the RED HOT necklace was created for the woman who loves to wear bold artisan statement jewelry.

Truth Pendant Boho Statement Necklace

- Leather & Greek Beads, Unisex Inspirational Jewelry -

The word "truth" prevails in this inspirational statement necklace that combines an artisan-made word pendant, Mykonos ceramic beads, a carved Tibetan bone bead, and pale orange agate rondelles. The pendant, which is made of polymer clay, is roughly 1 5/8 inches in length and quite durable. It has a background color light olive green and is stamped with brown lettering and a darker green leaf design.

The Mykonos ceramic beads, made in Greece, are colorful eye-catchers that come in two different shapes: tube and washer. The tubes are lime green, bone, and brown in color, and the washers are dark green, lime green, and brown. The bone bead is from Nepal and was carved by Tibetan refugees there. It is decorated with the ancient "evil eye" protector symbol, and so looks like a talisman. I purchased it in a Tibetan Dharma shop in Newport, RI. The agate gemstone rondelles are a light shade of earthy orange and quite shiny.

The necklace also includes pewter daisy spacers and deerskin leather lace (made in the USA). The spacers also have a nice shine and add a metallic glint to the necklace. The deerskin leather lace (also made in the USA) is soft and supple. Although thin, this lace is quite strong and will stretch but not break. I used double slipknots in this piece, which made the length adjustable. The length is set at 31 inches, including the pendant.

A stylish and meaningful boho jewelry creation with tribal affinities, this truth necklace was handmade beaded by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. Celtic Triple Spiral Boho Statement Necklace

- Pewter Triskele, Leather Beaded Cord -

This Celtic leather necklace offers unique boho styling that features a bold triskele pendant, lovely carnelian gemstones, green aventurine rondelles, Mykonos Greek ceramic beads, and decorative pewter spacer beads. The triskele is an ancient triple-spiral symbol, and associated with the triple goddess and eternity. Here the symbol becomes an eye-catching statement in a lead-free pewter focal.

To adorn the triskele, I used earthy green beads, brown leather cording, and rich orange-red carnelian. These choices are a small tribute to Ireland, whose beautiful fields and woods were on my mind when designing this piece. The carnelian beads are warmly inviting. They lend a color complement to the green shades of the aventurine rondelles, which are a pale delicate color, and the Greek ceramic beads, which bring a deep forest green and bright lime to the necklace. The pewter spacers contribute glints of metallic shine. Included on the necklace strand are pairs of "eye beads," which have been considered a talisman against the "evil eye" since ancient times.

The genuine leather cord is rounded and was made in the USA. A stainless steel chain acts as an extender, adding two inches to the necklace's basic length of 29.5 inches. For a colorful touch, I attached a deerskin leather tassel to the chain's last link and beaded it.

With its triple-spiral triskele pendant, Ireland-inspired colors, and shiny pewter beads, this Celtic statement necklace would make a meaningful addition to any jewelry collection. It's a unique piece of Bohemian styling that was handmade by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. About the Triskele
This is a triple spiral symbol that dates back to pre-Celtic times and is most often associated with Ireland. Triskeles and other spirals are carved into the ornately decorated curbstone at Newgrange, one of the outstanding neolithic passage graves in Ireland's Boyne Valley, dating back to 2500–3200 B.C. It was adopted as a symbol of the Holy Trinity and eternity by Irish Celtic Christians. In contemporary paganism, the triskele often represents the land, sky, and sea. The triple goddess can also be symbolized by the triple spiral. Alternately known as the triskelion, it is an ancient symbol of Sicility as well, and was used in ancient Greek pottery as a heraldic motif on the shields of warriors.

Flower Necklace, Cobalt Blue Pink Jewelry Gift Lampwork Rose Quartz

The "Flower Explosion" handmade necklace features a gorgeous artisan lampwork flower focal in cobalt blue and pink, pink rose quartz melon beads, pewter beads and bead caps and sterling silver. 

The FLOWER EXPLOSION necklace is definitely a refreshing, handmade beauty. A cobalt blue lampwork glass focal bead with pink flowers is the center of attention of the stunning jewelry design. The one of a kind necklace also features pink rose quartz melon beads, ridged pewter beads, leafy pewter bead caps and sterling silver. The eye catching lampwork glass focal was created right in front of me by a very talented glass artist from Fort Worth, Texas. Translucent cobalt blue glass makes up the body of the round art glass bead. Swirling pink flowers with wispy green and pale blue leaves look as if they are exploding out of the deep blue glass. Since the cobalt glass is translucent, it glows beautifully in bright light. Complementing the flowing flower and leaf design, a leafy pewter bead cap adds even more charm to each end of the lampwork focal bead.

The glass focal of the "Flower Explosion" is artisan handmade.  Translucent cobalt blue glass highlights the swirling pink flowers and green and pale blue leaves.

To highlight the pink flowers of the lampwork glass focal, elegant pink rose quartz in a novel melon cut make up the main body of the necklace. The ridges of the melon cut gemstones add lovely texture to the jewelry design and seem to catch and radiate light. Each rose quartz bead is separated by tiny sterling silver beads, with each group of three gemstones separated by pewter beads with etched ridges. To finish the necklace, a fancy sterling silver s-clasp set was used. Rustic Orange Coral and Copper Necklace, Chunky Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Mermaid's Dream" handmade necklace features rustic orange sponge coral drums and copper.

Big and bold with a vibrant, eye catching color, the MERMAID’S DREAM handmade orange coral statement necklace is sure to please the woman who loves chunky, one of a kind jewelry. The beautiful necklace features rustic orange sponge coral drums that weren’t carved and polished smooth. Instead, as you can see in the photos, each individual drum is filled with natural color variations and many crannies and pits that are typical to coral, adding tremendous texture to the necklace design. Despite the rustic look, the coral drums are buffed to a lovely glow, a fun juxtaposition between the rustic and polished areas. The coral drums are slightly graduated, the larger pieces found in the front and the smaller to the back of the necklace.

The orange sponge coral drums show a variation of color and have natural pits and crannies for amazing texture.

To perfectly complement the warm color of the orange coral, gleaming copper beads and daisy spacers separate each drum. A copper daisy spacers snugs each end of the coral and a 3 mm copper bead was put in the middle. Such a rich look! To finish the necklace, a copper teardrop shaped toggle clasp set was used. Mother Goddess Statement Necklace

- Venus Symbol Fertility Jewelry -

This handmade statement necklace combines a unique mother goddess pendant with African jade beads and freshwater pearls in a meaningful jewelry creation. The pendant, crafted in the USA by a polymer-clay artisan, depicts a goddess figure whose midsection is decorated with a spiral—a sign of fertility. About the Mother Goddess Design
Interestingly, the mother-goddess design originated in ancient times and is based on carvings from the Upper Paleolithic and Neolithic ages. This goddess was associated with fertility, creation, maternal power, earth, and nature itself, and many ancient artifacts of her have been discovered in Anatolia, Eastern Europe, Egypt, and the Near East. Archaeologists sometimes refer to these ancient physical renderings as "Venus" figures. Egyptian Ankh Statement Necklace

The ankh is an ancient Egyptian symbol for eternal life, and it is a common element in the art of Egypt during the time of the pharaohs. It is also found on amulets from that historical period.
