Truth Pendant Boho Statement Necklace

The word "truth" prevails in this inspirational statement necklace that combines an artisan-made word pendant, Mykonos ceramic beads, a carved Tibetan bone bead, and pale orange agate rondelles. The pendant, which is made of polymer clay, is roughly 1 5/8 inches in length and quite durable. It has a background color light olive green and is stamped with brown lettering and a darker green leaf design.

The Mykonos ceramic beads, made in Greece, are colorful eye-catchers that come in two different shapes: tube and washer. The tubes are lime green, bone, and brown in color, and the washers are dark green, lime green, and brown. The bone bead is from Nepal and was carved by Tibetan refugees there. It is decorated with the ancient "evil eye" protector symbol, and so looks like a talisman. I purchased it in a Tibetan Dharma shop in Newport, RI. The agate gemstone rondelles are a light shade of earthy orange and quite shiny.

The necklace also includes pewter daisy spacers and deerskin leather lace (made in the USA). The spacers also have a nice shine and add a metallic glint to the necklace. The deerskin leather lace (also made in the USA) is soft and supple. Although thin, this lace is quite strong and will stretch but not break. I used double slipknots in this piece, which made the length adjustable. The length is set at 31 inches, including the pendant.
