Southwest Church Cross Necklace, Terracotta Carnelian Handmade Jewelry

The meaningful "Sagrada" handmade necklace features an artisan terracotta church with crosses pendant, carnelian in two shapes and sizes and turquoise Czech glass lantern beads - unique Southwest jewelry for women.

Many cities and towns in the Desert Southwest have an “old town” section dominated by a beautiful adobe church that exudes sacredness and history: Santa Fe, Tucson, El Paso, Albuquerque, Las Cruces - the list goes on. The beautifully rustic pendant featured on the SAGRADA handmade necklace is reminiscent of those memorable churches. The Southwest inspired artisan pendant was created from reddish-brown terracotta ceramic. A lovely matte turquoise wash was added that allows areas of the earthy terracotta to show through giving an ancient, distressed look. The original artisan design of a church with two crosses and clouds above was impressed into the clay giving great texture to the not quite rectangular pendant. The back of the pendant is unglazed and can be used as an aromatherapy diffuser - carefully dab a drop or two of essential onto the back and the scent will be released for hours. To perfectly highlight the colors of the terracotta church pendant, two shapes and sizes of glowing orange carnelian were used along with small turquoise Czech glass beads. The larger and darker carnelian beads are more roundish nugget shaped, each just a bit different, adding a rustic flare. They are a rich dark orange color with some streaks of lighter and darker orange. Seven of these are found on each side of the necklace. Separating the nuggets are hand cut carnelian discs in a lighter orange shade. Since the discs are hand cut, they are very similar in size and shape but also are a bit different. Four discs separate the rounds along with small copper beads. For added Southwest color, a single ridged turquoise Czech glass lantern bead is found in the middle of each set of discs, separated by small copper beads. A sleek pure copper toggle clasp set finishes the necklace securely. Shakyamuni Buddha Necklace, Rustic Meditation Yoga Handmade Jewelry

The meaningful "Meditation" handmade necklace features a Fair Trade Shakyamuni Buddha necklace, rustic Czech tube beads and old world seed beads - unique yoga jewelry for women.

The MEDITATION Shakyamuni Buddha pendant necklace is perfect for the woman who meditates, takes yoga or just loves one of a kind jewelry. The meaningful, one of a kind necklace features a rustic brass Shakyamuni Buddha pendant, earthy matte tube beads, old world striped seed beads and copper. The peaceful looking Fair Trade Buddha pendant was artisan handmade from brass in a small village in Thailand. The brass was darkened and then given a rich seafoam blue green patina to bring out the incredible detail of the meditating Buddha, the platform he sits on and the curved leafed arch around him. It was then polished so that the raised areas glow with the rich color of the shiny brass. The pendant is two sided with the Buddha is on the front side. On the back, which has a dark patina, is an inscribed Buddhist unalome, a symbol that represents the path to enlightenment.  To perfectly highlight the Buddha pendant, Czech glass tubes and striped beads were used to provide even more rustic charm. The matte finish tube beads are a great mix of earthy colors including various shades of green, dark brown and mustard yellow. To create an aged look to the beads, a mottled medium brown Picasso finish was added. Between each tube beads are found shiny Czech glass seed beads with an old word Picasso finish to mimic antique trade beads from hundreds of years ago. Most have stripes, but not all. Small copper beads separate each bead and add a lovely glow. A copper toggle clasp with a patina finishes the necklace securely. Frida Kahlo Earrings, Faux Vintage Rustic Handmade Boho Jewelry Gift

The rustic "Frida Kahlo" earrings feature artisan handmade copper Frida dangles, African batik bone beads and faceted black spinel - unique jewelry for women.

If you love the fascinating, vibrant life and art of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, you will absolutely love the aptly named FRIDA KAHLO earrings! The eye catching boho dangle earrings feature rustic faux vintage copper Frida dangles, black and white African batik bone beads and sparkling faceted black spinel gemstones. The unique Kahlo charms look as if they were cut from old cookie or tea tins. But they only mimic rustic vintage tins since they were individually artisan hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper. A permanent metal transfer was applied and then sealed. The picture of Frida is an iconic self portrait painted in 1940, although it is a mirror image of the original. A black cat is on her right shoulder, one of her beloved pet monkeys is on her left, white butterflies are in her hair and she is wearing a symbolic thorn necklace.  Since the Frida charms are gorgeous in their own right, simple complements were all that was needed to complete the earrings.  Fair trade black and white African batik bone beads were stacked above the dangles. Each bone bead was individually created by an artist in a artisan cooperative in Ghana, so there are differences as you can see in the photos.  To add subtle sparkle, faceted jet black spinel gemstones were added, each separated from the bone beads by a copper daisy spacer. The rustic Dawn of Time handmade earrings features ancient looking rune ceramic discs, artisan  speckled lampwork glass and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

The rustic terracotta ceramic discs and speckled lampwork beads used as the focals of the DAWN OF TIME handmade earrings look as if they have spent eons lying in an ancient site, just waiting to be unearthed and worn again. The not perfectly circular ceramic disc beads are individually artisan crafted with seven individual rune symbols in a raised design on the front side. The back side has no runes and is slightly rounded. The rune discs were matte glazed with a lovely dusty blue color with just a hint of lavender. Perfectly highlighting the ceramic discs are rich, velvety finish lampwork glass beads that started out with a base of dark turquoise blue glass. Peacock Earrings, Rustic Lavender Purple Copper Handmade Jewelry Gift

The gorgeous Peacock Majesty earrings feature Czech glass peacock beads that are exquisitely detailed, two sided and the head and breast of the peacocks are raised for a 3-D effect.

I'll be the first to admit: the peacock Czech glass beads used in these artisan handmade earrings are absolutely majestic . . . which is why I named the artisan beauties PEACOCK MAJESTY. They will look exquisite on your ears! The earrings were created with eye catching Czech glass peacock beads, Czech glass Saturn / UFO beads and sterling silver. The main focal of the one of a kind artisan earrings are the beautiful, dimensional Czech glass peacock beads. The beads were made in small batches from violet purple glass. A lustrous, shimmering Picasso finish in copper and gold with hints of mossy green was applied to bring out the detail of the beads and to add an aged, vintage look. A Picasso finish rarely covers all the glass so you can see some of the violet purple peeking through. As you can see from the photo, the peacocks are very detailed, from the curve of the peacock’s neck to the individual feathers in the tail They are 3D with the peacock’s head and chests raised above the tail. The beads are two-sided so, no matter how the earrings hang, a peacock will always be seen.

Lovely amethyst purple UFO beads were added to the earrings design to bring out the color of the violet glass of the peacock beads. They are a Saturn / UFO shape with a crisp faceted raised center. The beautiful beads also have a Picasso finish added, except for the faceted center, in blue gray with bits of rust. Because the center of each bead has no Picasso finish, it is translucent and looks especially beautiful when backlit (see the photo of the earrings hanging). Rustic Wings Boho Earrings, Turquoise Copper Mint Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Taos Trails" handmade earrings feature artisan made rustic wing dangles and frosted minty green lampwork beads with Czech glass coral discs and teal tri cut beads - boho jewelry for women.

Filled with the rich colors and ancient vibes of the Desert Southwest, the TAOS TRAILS handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who has an exuberant boho spirit. The richly colored earrings feature rustic wing dangles, artisan frosted minty green lampwork beads and coral and teal Czech glass beads. The two-sided organic wing dangles were individually artisan hand formed (in Taos) from lightweight white stoneware clay. Once they were air dried, they were hand painted with shades of turquoise; copper “stains” were added for an ancient patina feel. The pieces were kiln fired several times for strength and durability. The front has a wing design - maybe based on a dragonfly? The back is a totally different design - maybe based on beetle wings? Whatever inspired them, the dangles have such a wonderfully primitive feel to them. Since they were individually hand formed, you will notice that they are similar in design but not exactly the same, something that makes handmade so enjoyable!

To perfectly complement the lighter turquoise color of the rustic wings, minty green lampwork beads were added above, capped on the top and bottom by shiny copper daisy spacers. The minty lampwork glass beads, also artisan made, were etched for a soft, frosted sea glass look that positively captures and radiates glowing goodness. Stacked above the lampwork beads are two types of Czech glass. The first, to add a pop of unexpected color, are deep coral discs with a shiny silver wash. Next are sparkling teal tri-cut Czech beads with a rustic mossy green Picasso finish, separated from the discs by a copper daisy spacer. The unique earrings are finished with sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents. Turquoise Patina Butterfly Earrings, Boho Copper Spiral Handmade Jewelry

The unique "Turquoise Butterflies" boho earrings feature artisan handmade turquoise patina charms with copper swirls and Mykonos butterflies.

The TURQUOISE BUTTERFLIES handmade earrings feature cheerful Mykonos butterfly charms hanging in front of rich turquoise patinated copper dangles with hand formed copper swirls. Fun, boho jewelry, the one of a kind earrings will certainly be noticed each and every time you wear them! Individually artisan handmade, the copper trapezoids (the bottom is wider than the top) charms were given a rustic turquoise patina, reminiscent of the rich colors of old copper roofs in Europe and other historic buildings. The turquoise color runs from dark to light with some of the dark copper showing through. To add extra eye appeal, shiny copper spirals and swirls were added to the top of the trapezoid, a perfect color complement against the turquoise. The back of each is shiny copper with dots and splotches of patina. Since the turquoise patinated charms were individually created, they are very similar in design but not exactly the same.

Copper swirls that were individually formed grace the top of the patina charms and Mykonos butterflies add lots of movement to the earrings design.

To add whimsy and fun to the earrings, butterflies were wire wrapped to the end of a spiral. The beautiful butterfly charms were cast on the Greek island of Mykonos, created from a lead free pewter base and then covered with a layer of pure copper. The copper then was given a turquoise patina to bring out the incredible detail of the butterflies. Because of the way the charms are wire wrapped they seem to flitter at each movement of the earrings. Sterling silver French hook earwires with copper bead accents finish the earrings perfectly. The beautiful necklace features rustic orange sponge coral drums that weren’t carved and polished smooth. Instead, as you can see in the photos, each individual drum is filled with natural color variations and many crannies and pits that are typical to coral, adding tremendous texture to the necklace design. Despite the rustic look, the coral drums are buffed to a lovely glow, a fun juxtaposition between the rustic and polished areas. The coral drums are slightly graduated, the larger pieces found in the front and the smaller to the back of the necklace.

The orange sponge coral drums show a variation of color and have natural pits and crannies for amazing texture.

To perfectly complement the warm color of the orange coral, gleaming copper beads and daisy spacers separate each drum. A copper daisy spacers snugs each end of the coral and a 3 mm copper bead was put in the middle. Such a rich look! To finish the necklace, a copper teardrop shaped toggle clasp set was used. The unique, one of a kind earrings feature two sided Czech glass elephants with raised trunks created from rich colored maroon glass. To add a rustic, vintage charm and to bring out the details of the eyes, mouth, ears, legs and trunk, the glass beads were given an earthy lichen gray Picasso finish and then washed with metallic bronze. Due to their handmade nature, each elephant (and each side of each bead) is a bit different, as you can see in the photos. Because the elephant beads are two sided, the earrings look fabulous from every angle!

To add unexpected bursts of color, stacked onto the back of the elephant beads are ridged, bright orange Czech glass melon beads with a gold Picasso wash and rustic aqua Czech glass nuggets. Copper daisy spacers separate the two colorful beads and an aged copper disc separates the ebads from the elephants. Sterling silver earwires with copper bead accents finish the earrings beautifully. Carefully designed and artisan handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the MAROODI earrings were created for the woman who cherishes the majesty of elephants - and worries that their population is rapidly dwindling rapidly. “Maroodi” is Somali for “elephant.”
