The "Frida" handmade earrings feature artisan created Frida Kahlo dangles from copper and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for her.

Frida Kahlo was a vibrant Mexican artist and is beloved the world over. If you are a fan of her life and work, you will absolutely love the appropriately named FRIDA dangle earrings! The boho earrings feature faux vintage copper Frida dangles and two sizes of sparkling, richly-colored Swarovski crystals. The unique, artisan made Kahlo charms look as if they were cut from old cookie or tea tins. But they only mimic rustic vintage tins since they were individually artisan hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper. A permanent metal transfer was applied and then sealed. The picture of Frida is an iconic self portrait painted in 1940 - the earrings are a mirror image of the original. A black cat sits on her left shoulder, her pet monkey sits on her right, two white butterflies are in her hair and she is wearing a symbolic thorn necklace. Since the dangles were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add wonderful rustic vibes. The back of the dangles is smooth, shiny copper which will gradually gain a patina over time. Since the charms are made from copper, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  Because the Frida Kahlo charms are gorgeous in their own right, simple complements were all that was needed to complete the earrings. Sparkling Swarovski crystals in two sizes were chosen in a color called “graphite,” a bluish gray-black tone full of deep, shadowy sparkle. Sterling silver earwires with copper bead accents finish the design beautifully. The "Frida Kahlo" handmade earrings feature lightweight artisan Frida charms, Czech glass discs and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry gift for women.

If you are a fan of the iconic, world renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, you will absolutely love the appropriately named FRIDA KAHLO dangle earrings! The boho earrings feature a Frida print on artist’s board dangles, rich colored Czech glass discs and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The unique Kahlo rectangle dangles were individually artisan handmade out of artist’s board, a heavy duty, archival quality paper board.  A permanent transfer was applied and then sealed. The picture of Frida is a famous painting called “Self Portrait with Monkey, 1940.” One of her pet monkeys sits on her shoulder and a red ribbon twines through her braided hair and around her neck. The background is filled with lush greenery.  The back of the dangles is smooth and has also been sealed. Since the charms are made from artist’s board, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  Because the Frida Kahlo charms are gorgeous in their own right, simple complements were all that were needed to complete the earrings. Two Czech glass discs in a rich orangey-red color are stacked above the charms, highlighting the red ribbon in the painting.
