The one of a kind FRIDA PRECIOSA handmade earrings are so very well named: “”gorgeous Frida” or “precious Frida,” indeed! These enchanting Frida Kahlo earrings are based on a full length self portrait, sometimes called “Between the Curtains,” painted in 1947 and dedicated to her friend Leon Trotsky. In the painting, she wears a long peach and white embroidered skirt, fringed brown shawl and gold jewelry. The Frida dangles are artisan created from high quality, rectangular-shaped black polymer clay with a permanent art transfer. For durability and shine, the dangles were given several coats of varnish. The self portrait has been closely cropped to only show Frida’s beautifull face and a pink flower in her hair. A black border acts like a frame to highlight the art . As you can see in the photos, the dangles are mirror images of each other, but, in the original painting, she is gazing to the right. The backside of the dangles are black and inscribed with the artist’s mark. Since the dangles are made from polymer clay, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. To perfectly complement the Frida Kahlo polymer clay dangles, premium Czech glass roller beads and sparkling Swarovski crystals were used. The roller beads were created from a gorgeous magenta pink and clear glass mix with a silver metallic center. They have a rustic finish to them to add an aged look, and, since they’re translucent, the beads absolutely glow when worn. And with the addition of facets, they also add subtle sparkle. And talking about sparkle, a single faceted Swarovski crystal bicone in a rich, eye catching color called “ruby” red was stacked on top of each roller bead, separated by a sterling silver daisy spacer. Sterling silver French hook earwires finish the earrings. The "Frida Kahlo" handmade earrings feature lightweight artisan Frida charms, Czech glass discs and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry gift for women.

If you are a fan of the iconic, world renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, you will absolutely love the appropriately named FRIDA KAHLO dangle earrings! The boho earrings feature a Frida print on artist’s board dangles, rich colored Czech glass discs and sparkling Swarovski crystals. The unique Kahlo rectangle dangles were individually artisan handmade out of artist’s board, a heavy duty, archival quality paper board.  A permanent transfer was applied and then sealed. The picture of Frida is a famous painting called “Self Portrait with Monkey, 1940.” One of her pet monkeys sits on her shoulder and a red ribbon twines through her braided hair and around her neck. The background is filled with lush greenery.  The back of the dangles is smooth and has also been sealed. Since the charms are made from artist’s board, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  Because the Frida Kahlo charms are gorgeous in their own right, simple complements were all that were needed to complete the earrings. Two Czech glass discs in a rich orangey-red color are stacked above the charms, highlighting the red ribbon in the painting.
