Even though the photos don’t show it, the one of a kind EARTH SONG handmade necklace is filled to the brim with eye-catching sparkle, something surely to sing about. The earthy necklace features an exquisitely glittering druzy agate pendant. Faceted brown fire agate, red garnet and sterling silver complement the druzy pendant perfectly. What is druzy? Druzy (or druse) refers to a coating of fine crystals over the surface of a rock cavity, usually within a geode or something similar. The druzy agate gemstone pendant is teardrop shaped and has a cavity running up the right side. The face of the pendant is absolutely covered in breathtaking, off-white crystals, looking as if someone sprinkled a thick layer of fine sugar crystals on it. And do the crystals sparkle and sparkle and then sparkle some more, shifting as the angle of light changes. The back of the pendant is smooth with the lovely natural pattern of the agate mother rock.  Adding glamor to the design and highlighting the pendant perfectly are faceted fire agate rounds and red garnet heishe along with sterling silver. A type of banded chalcedony that is famous for its intricate patterns, the colors of the fire agate range from black to root beer brown to pale beige.  Many of the stones are translucent and seem to capture the light.  In between each grouping of agates are three hand cut red garnet heishe. Paintbrush Jasper Necklace, Wood Magnesite Landscape Handmade Jewelry

The "Adventure Calls" handmade necklace features an amazing paintbrush jasper pendant, hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite - unique gemstone jewelry for women.

Intricate lines, artsy splashes and splatters - looking as if they were painted by a human hand - caused some indigenous people to believe paintbrush jasper is Mother Earth speaking to her children, if we could just read what she painted. The one of a kind ADVENTURE CALLS handmade necklace features an exquisite paintbrush jasper gemstone pendant. To perfectly complement the pendant, unique hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite gemstones were used. The paintbrush jasper (also called landscape jasper, picture, dendritic jasper and artistic jasper) pendant is absolutely magnificent with well defined “brush strokes” that fan out like watercolors across paper. The pendant has a light two-toned beige background with intriguing darker brick red “landscapes” and tiny black dendritic dots. There is a design on both sides of the pendant, making it hard to decide which should be the front. A copper spiral was hand formed and hammered to cover the drilled bead hole and to start the rustically wire wrapped copper bail. Mother Earth is definitely telling a story with this pendant.  Hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite highlight the pendant, bringing out its designs and colors. The dark brown wood tubes, three on each side of the necklace, were hand carved so all just a bit different. As you can see in the photos, the tubes are carved in three sections. The two outer sections have a leaf and dot design, the inner with what looks like a paisley and dot design. Copper flower spacers were used one each end of the wood tubes to add a wonderful coppery glow. The rest of the necklace is made up of natural magnesite gemstone rondelles in a creamy off-white color with brown matrix. A magnesite rondelle was placed between each wood tube with a copper bicone on each side for beautiful drape. Groups of three rondelles make up the back of the necklace, each group separated by a single copper bicone. A twisted copper toggle clasp with an arrowhead shape finishes the necklace. Earthy white African opal combined with glowing red garnet creates a beautiful handmade necklace you will want to wear time and time again. Due to its neutral color, the gemstone necklace can be worn dress up or dress down and is named SIMPLE PLEASURES. The seven eye catching white African opal gemstones at the front of the necklace have a background of creamy beige. Swirling veins of brick red, green, darker brown and black run through the polished beads, each one different from the other. A few have translucent areas and one even has small druzy inclusions. The shape of the African opal is a four sided oval, the sides catching and reflecting the light as the necklace is worn. Like all opals, white African opal is a form of hydrated amorphous silica; however it does not exhibit the play of color seen in precious opals. Vintage Flower Pendant Amber Necklace, Turquoise Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Flower and Sunshine" handmade necklace features a vintage brass flower pendant, gorgeous amber and earthy turquoise - unique jewelry gift for her.

The big and bold FLOWER AND SUNSHINE handmade necklace is truly an eye catcher - a special piece of jewelry that seems to capture sunlight. Created with a unique vintage brass flower pendant focal, the one of a kind necklace also includes golden pyramid shaped pressed amber, turquoise and copper. The pendant was made in India out of solid brass and was used for trade in Africa (it was collected in Ghana). In the center of the glowing pendant is an encircled, multi-petaled flower raised against the background. It is surrounded by raised dots, adding wonderful texture to the pendant design. The raised areas are polished while the recessed areas have a darker patina to bring out the lovely details of the pendant. The back of the pendant is smooth and  slightly concave.  

The pressed amber making up the main body of the necklace is real amber, but not natural amber since it was melted and then pressed (reformed) into unique pyramid shaped beads, flat on the bottom and pointed at the top with three sides. Two colors of translucent amber were used: the majority is a glowing golden color but flecks here and there of a dark brown amber were also included. Air bubbles were injected when the amber was still warm; once the amber solidified, the bubbles were trapped. Because of the bubbles, the pressed amber glistens as the light refracts when passing through each piece. There is a constant sparkle as the angle of the light changes, each piece of amber is different with the amount and placement of the air bubbles. To perfectly highlight the amber, genuine turquoise rondelles were placed between each piece of amber. The earthy colors of the turquoise range from a turquoise blue through greens, beiges and dark brown, many rondelles having more than one color. A patterned copper toggle clasp securely fastens the necklace.
