Even though the photos don’t show it, the one of a kind EARTH SONG handmade necklace is filled to the brim with eye-catching sparkle, something surely to sing about. The earthy necklace features an exquisitely glittering druzy agate pendant. Faceted brown fire agate, red garnet and sterling silver complement the druzy pendant perfectly. What is druzy? Druzy (or druse) refers to a coating of fine crystals over the surface of a rock cavity, usually within a geode or something similar. The druzy agate gemstone pendant is teardrop shaped and has a cavity running up the right side. The face of the pendant is absolutely covered in breathtaking, off-white crystals, looking as if someone sprinkled a thick layer of fine sugar crystals on it. And do the crystals sparkle and sparkle and then sparkle some more, shifting as the angle of light changes. The back of the pendant is smooth with the lovely natural pattern of the agate mother rock.  Adding glamor to the design and highlighting the pendant perfectly are faceted fire agate rounds and red garnet heishe along with sterling silver. A type of banded chalcedony that is famous for its intricate patterns, the colors of the fire agate range from black to root beer brown to pale beige.  Many of the stones are translucent and seem to capture the light.  In between each grouping of agates are three hand cut red garnet heishe. Copper Ammonite Necklace, Spiral Unakite Peridot Coral Handmade Jewelry

The "Whispers of Time" handmade necklace features an artisan copper ammonite pendant, unakite, copal and peridot gemstones - unique jewelry for women.

Filled with amazing earthy elegance, the WHISPERS OF TIME handmade necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who loves to wear stylish artisan jewelry. The one of a kind necklace features an artisan created copper ammonite spiral pendant, unakite barrels, green peridot nuggets and pale pink coral drums. The gorgeous ammonite pendant was handcrafted from beginning to end from precious copper metal clay.  The solid copper pendant was patinated and polished to bring out the incredible detail. An actual ammonite, from 240 - 65 million years old, was used to make the mold for the pendant! As you can see in the photos, the ammonite gracefully ridged spirals.  A ridged bail at the top of the pendant attaches it to the main body of the necklace.  Three types of gemstones perfectly complement the pendant: unakite, peridot and coral. The colors of the barrel-shaped unakite are very earthy: mostly shades of mottled green with dark terracotta accents, although a few beads are mostly terracotta with a few sprinkles of green. To lighten the color of the design, pale pink coral drums are scattered throughout the necklace, capped by copper spacers and green peridot nuggets. The coral is faceted so provides subtle sparkle to the necklace. The green peridot are nugget-shaped so they are similar in size but not exactly. Red Creek Jasper and Amber Necklace, Handmade Gemstone Jewelry Gift for Women

"Wurre Dreams" Red Creek jasper and amber gemstone necklace

Named after the towering sandstone bluffs and cliffs found at the Rainbow Valley Conservation Area in the Outback of Australia, the WURRE DREAMS handmade necklace definitely contains the multitude of earthy colors found on the majestic (and humbling) land. The one of a kind necklace features amazing Red Creek jasper gemstone ovals in softly muted shades of mustard yellow, olive green, medium tan, burnt red and dark eggplant, mimicking picturesque sunset colors. The Rainbow Valley Conservation Area is on the traditional lands of the Upper Southern Arrernte people and is known to them as Wurre.

To perfectly complementing the Red Creek jasper, golden amber with dark honey amber rondelles were used between each jasper oval, separated by 3 mm sterling silver beads. Three amber rodelles were used at the back of the necklace right before the clasp. I wish you could see how the lovely amber captures the light and positively radiates glowing goodness! *** Please note, the amber used in the necklace is real amber but not “natural” amber. The amber used to create the rondelles was melted and reformed under great pressure, called pressed or reconstructed amber (approximately 80% of amber today is pressed amber). 

To finish the unique, earthy necklace, a hammered sterling silver hook clasp set was used. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog designs, the Australia-inspired WURRE DREAMS necklace is a perfect gift idea for the woman who loves one of a kind artisan created jewelry.
