The unique SUEÑOS DE LA TIERRA handmade necklace has such a beautifully neutral color scheme that you will be able to wear it with a wide range of outfits - pale colors of the desert with bits of blue representing the sky. The one of a kind necklace features creamy white “lava” rock pumice tubes, earthy wooden beads and turquoise magnesite discs along with a liberal sprinkling of copper. Since real lava rock only comes in black and brown, the lovely tubes used in the necklace is actually pumice, another type of volcanic stone.  Lava rock is a trade name for both. Pumice is created when super heated rock is ejected from a volcanic eruption and, due to rapid cooling once the rock hits the air, small gas bubbles are trapped. As you can see in the photos, the pumice tubes are filled with tiny holes, which also makes the stones very light in weight. Pumice can be quite rough on the skin, but these tubes have been ground to a silky smoothness so there are no worries about irritation when the necklace is worn. Thirteen creamy white pumice tubes were used, all with a copper daisy spacer at each side to separate them from the rest of the beads.  A pale brown wooden bead and a bright blue turquoise magnesite disc is found between each pumice tube. The wooden beads add an earthiness to the necklace design, especially since many have natural stripes. The permanently dyed turquoise magnesite discs add a pop of unexpected, fun color to the design. The back of the necklace is finished with three wooden beads and three turquoise magnesite discs interspersed with copper beads and spacers. A pure copper hook clasp set with a raised dot design securely fastens the necklace. Paintbrush Jasper Necklace, Wood Magnesite Landscape Handmade Jewelry

The "Adventure Calls" handmade necklace features an amazing paintbrush jasper pendant, hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite - unique gemstone jewelry for women.

Intricate lines, artsy splashes and splatters - looking as if they were painted by a human hand - caused some indigenous people to believe paintbrush jasper is Mother Earth speaking to her children, if we could just read what she painted. The one of a kind ADVENTURE CALLS handmade necklace features an exquisite paintbrush jasper gemstone pendant. To perfectly complement the pendant, unique hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite gemstones were used. The paintbrush jasper (also called landscape jasper, picture, dendritic jasper and artistic jasper) pendant is absolutely magnificent with well defined “brush strokes” that fan out like watercolors across paper. The pendant has a light two-toned beige background with intriguing darker brick red “landscapes” and tiny black dendritic dots. There is a design on both sides of the pendant, making it hard to decide which should be the front. A copper spiral was hand formed and hammered to cover the drilled bead hole and to start the rustically wire wrapped copper bail. Mother Earth is definitely telling a story with this pendant.  Hand carved wood beads and natural magnesite highlight the pendant, bringing out its designs and colors. The dark brown wood tubes, three on each side of the necklace, were hand carved so all just a bit different. As you can see in the photos, the tubes are carved in three sections. The two outer sections have a leaf and dot design, the inner with what looks like a paisley and dot design. Copper flower spacers were used one each end of the wood tubes to add a wonderful coppery glow. The rest of the necklace is made up of natural magnesite gemstone rondelles in a creamy off-white color with brown matrix. A magnesite rondelle was placed between each wood tube with a copper bicone on each side for beautiful drape. Groups of three rondelles make up the back of the necklace, each group separated by a single copper bicone. A twisted copper toggle clasp with an arrowhead shape finishes the necklace.
