Tribal Necklace with Tibetan Dzi Beads
- Amethyst, Carnelian, Aventurine -

https://www.etsy.com/prettygonzo/listing/253488992/tribal-tibetan-dzi-necklace-tribal?ref=shop_home_feat_4&frs=1
This eye-catching statement necklace features Tibetan Dzi beads, a trio of gemstones—amethyst, carnelian, green aventurine—and sterling silver beads and  components. The beautiful Dzi beads are agate with a rich brown background and honey-tone wave patterning. The waves may symbolize either water or mountain peaks. I chose the theme of mountain peaks when I designed the necklace.

To enhance these special focals, I selected deep purple amethyst, which I see as representing the high flanks of the mountain peaks. Later, I added the green aventurine to represent the lower flanks, and to create a color bridge between the purple and the brown. To reinforce the warmth of the Dzi, I chose the carnelian beads. Also included are sterling silver elements such as round beads, bead caps, clasp, and finishing components. The beading wire, made in the USA, is high-quality 49-strand, and the necklace's length is 21 inches.

This unique Dzi bead tribal necklace was handmade by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes boxed, wrapped and ready for gift giving to someone special—including yourself! It would make a special gift for anyone who loves meaningful jewelry and enjoys the mountains, wherever those mountain might be!

About Dzi Beads
Dzi beads are considered protective amulets and talismans against the "evil eye." They have been made for thousands of years and may have originated in ancient Persia. "Dzi" is the transliteration of a Tibetan word which means clarity, shine, splendor, and brightness. Traditionally, these beads were made from agate, and the older the bead was, the better, as it was believed to accrue more and more power over time.

About the Gemstones
Carnelian is a regal-looking gemstone that has been used for jewelry since ancient times. Throughout history, it has been considered a protective talisman to dispel fear and help build courage.  Amethyst, a member of the quartz family, is traditionally considered a protective, talismanic stone. Green aventurine, also a member of the quartz family, is considered a stone of friendship and love, and is associated with the heart chakra.
