To highlight the sky blue flowers and to add a bit of a vintage look, a plum purple and metallic bronze Picasso finish was applied. It settled into the center of each flower and on the edges, each side being just a bit different. The flowers are capped on the top and bottom with a set of two tiny sterling silver disc spacers. Hare Rabbit Earrings, Spirals Moonstone Crystals Handmade Jewelry Gift

Guaranteed to make you smile each and every time you wear them, the one of a kind JUMP FOR JOY hare / rabbit earrings are special pieces of whimsical jewelry that welcome spring, are perfect to celebrate Easter and can be worn all year long. Created with artisan enamel hare dangles, the fun earrings also feature flashing moonstone gemstones and glittering Swarovski crystals. The eye catching rabbit dangles were individually artisan made glass enameled copper.   A permanent decal with a leaping hare or rabbit design was applied while the glass was still molten. The whimsical long eared hares are grey with light brown highlights. Their long legs show that they are leaping along as they’re going about their business, perhaps celebrating the warmer weather. Hand painted spirals and dots also grace the lovely design. The back of each dangle is also enameled with speckled dark blue glass for strength and durability. Since the rabbit charms are individually artisan handmade, they are very similar in design but not exactly the same.  Since the leaping hares remind me of the Moon Rabbit, a Far Eastern mythical figure that lives on the moon often as a companion to the moon goddess, Chang’e, gorgeous moonstone gemstones and sparkling Swarovski crystals were stacked above the charms. Used in jewelry for many millennia (the Romans believed moonstone was solidified rays of the moon), moonstone is famous for its mesmerizing opalescent play of light, often flashing pearly blue when the light hits it just right. Unfortunately, the photos don’t do justice to the breathtaking flashes, but they definitely are there, much brighter than is shown. Two hand cut moonstone heishe are used, separated by copper disc spacers. To represent the stars, a single faceted Swarovski crystal bicone was placed above the moonstone. The clear crystals have an iridescent coating called “aurora borealis” (AB) which, when the light hits them right, produces an explosion of dazzling rainbow colors in blues, pinks, and yellows.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the JUMP FOR JOY earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves whimsical rabbit earrings celebrating the joy of spring.

Blue Red Flower Earrings, Pansy Czech Glass Crystal Handmade Jewelry

The "Flores Azules" handmade earrings feature blue with red Czech glass pansy flowers, Czech crystals and two shades of red glass beads - unique jewelry for the woman who loves flowers.

The FLORES AZULES handmade earrings are a perfect jewelry gift for the woman who adores flowers. Perfect to wear all summer long - or all year long for that matter! - the one of a kind earrings feature blue Czech glass pansy flower beads with red highlights, Czech crystal rondelles and two shapes and shades of red Czech glass rondelles. The two-sided Czech glass flower beads started out as medium sky blue glass poured into the shape of a pansy with a recessed design in the middle. To bring out the gorgeous detailing in the middle and to give a rustic vintage look to the flowers, a Picasso finish in rusty red and moss green was added and then polished off the faces of the beads. The finish settled in the recessed areas and can be found on the sides of the beads, adding extra beauty to the flowers. Since the pansy flower beads are two sided, the earrings look fabulous from any angle. To perfectly complement the flowers and to add fun color and mega sparkle to the overall design, Czech glass crystals and red Czech glass beads were stacked above the pansy beads. Just above each flower is a silver rondelle set with seven Czech crystals in a rich blue color called indicolite (named after rare blue tourmaline). A bright scarlet red Czech glass bead nestles into each crystal rondelle. Since the beads are filled with small facets, they add not-so-subtle sparkle to the earrings. On top of each bright red bead, separated by a small sterling silver daisy spacer, is a dark red opal glass bead. Since these glowing beads are translucent, they look like they are on fire when the earrings are worn.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the FLORES AZULES pansy flower earrings were created for the woman who loves flowers (perhaps a gardener?) and loves to wear one of a kind, artisan jewelry. "Flores azules" is Spanish for "blue flowers."

The Czech beads were created from glowing translucent and opaque aqua blue glass with a flower design pressed into the glass. The unique earrings absolutely radiate eye catching goodness when backlit (see photo # 2 and a photo at the bottom of the page). To bring out the exquisite details of the pansy flowers and to add a vintage vibe, a red Picasso finish was applied to the beads. The finish was then polished off the flat faces, leaving the finish in the middle of the flowers, demarcating each petal and on the edge of the beads. Since the flower beads are handmade, each side of the beads are similar but also a bit different. Since the flower beads are two sided, the artisan earrings look fabulous from any angle. “Fiori d’acqua” is Italian for “aqua flowers.”

To perfectly complement the flowers, a rustic turquoise disc and a faceted red coral bead were stacked above each pansy. The genuine turquoise discs were hand cut so are more rustic in shape. The blue turquoise is highlighted by the natural black matrix that runs through both discs. A copper spacer disc separates the turquoise from the glass beads. Above the turquoise, also separated by a copper disc, is a red coral round. Since the red coral rounds are faceted, they add subtle sparkle to the earrings design.
