Stunning with its artisan handmade, hand painted tree of life pendant and faceted pink rose quartz nugget gemstones, the one of a kind ARBURU DE VITA necklace is a beauty you’ll want to wear over and over again. The eye catching necklace features a rustic pendant created from off-white polymer clay. Borrowing on an ancient symbol found through the history of mankind, a Tree of Life design with leaves and a spiral shaped root is raised against the background. Added above the tree is a hand formed rayed sun. Hand painted in rich colors of aqua turquoise, pink, lavender, purple and bits of brown, the colors settled into the recessed areas and the “cracks.” To add a rustic vibe, the Tree of Life pendant was lightly sanded with fine grit sandpaper on the tree and around the edges to let bits of the off-white base clay to show through. The back is also painted. To perfectly complement the Tree of Life pendant, faceted rose quartz nuggets were used. The colors shade from a pale pastel pink to a medium pink; some nuggets are translucent while some nuggets are opaque. For the most part, the nuggets are longer than wider, and, since they were hand cut, each nugget is different, adding wonderful texture to the necklace. Because the rose quartz nuggets are faceted, unexpected sparkle is added at each movement when the necklace is worn. So the necklace drapes beautifully when worn, each nugget is separated from its neighbor by a small sterling silver bead adding bits of silver glow. A sleek sterling silver toggle clasp set finishes the design. The Flower Explosion handmade necklace features an artisan lampwork flower focal, pink rose quartz, pewter beads and bead caps and sterling silver - one of a kind jewelry.

The FLOWER EXPLOSION necklace is definitely a refreshing, handmade beauty. A cobalt blue lampwork glass focal bead with pink flowers is the center of attention of the stunning jewelry design. The one of a kind necklace also features pink rose quartz melon beads, ridged pewter beads, leafy pewter bead caps and sterling silver. The eye catching lampwork glass focal was created right in front of me by a very talented glass artist from Fort Worth, Texas. Translucent cobalt blue glass makes up the body of the round art glass bead. Swirling pink flowers with wispy green and pale blue leaves look as if they are exploding out of the deep blue glass. Since the cobalt glass is translucent, it glows beautifully in bright light. Complementing the flowing flower and leaf design, a leafy pewter bead cap adds even more charm to each end of the lampwork focal bead. To highlight the pink flowers of the lampwork glass focal, elegant pink rose quartz in a novel melon cut make up the main body of the necklace. The ridges of the melon cut gemstones add lovely texture to the jewelry design and seem to catch and radiate light. Each rose quartz bead is separated by tiny sterling silver beads, with each group of three gemstones separated by pewter beads with etched ridges. To finish the necklace, a fancy sterling silver s-clasp set was used. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the FLOWER EXPLOSION necklace was created for the woman who adores one of a kind, artisan jewelry.

Virgin Mary Catholic Necklace, Bless This Woman Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Bless This Woman" necklace features a two sided Virgin Mary and budded cross 

pendant, rose quartz and black onyx. 

The BLESS THIS WOMAN handmade necklace is a perfect jewelry gift for the woman of Catholic faith. The one of a kind necklace features a meaningful, two sided Virgin Mary and cross pendant, pink rose quartz and black onyx - an eye catching necklace filled with great symbolism that is sure to be noticed anytime it is worn. The wonderfully textured, two-sided pendant was cast in the U.S. in the old Liberty coin style from lead free pewter. One side of the pendant features the Virgin Mary against a budded cross with trailing roses, long associated with Mary, flowing out from each side of the figure. The reverse side has a meaningful inscription, “Bless This Woman,” underneath a raised five petaled flower, Our Lady’s Cushion, said to have formed cushions on which Mary sat during the family’s flight into Egypt. The pendant was heavily oxidized and then polished to bring out the raised details, which glow more greatly in real life than the photos show. Because of the feminine beauty of the pendant, but also the strength the Virgin Mary showed during her life, pink rose quartz and black onyx were used as perfect complements. Known as the “gemstone of love,” light pink rose quartz rounds are found at the front of the necklace, seven rounds on each side. Separating the rose quartz rounds are black onyx rondelles - black onyx believed to be a powerful “gemstone of protection” - and sterling silver beads. The back of the necklace is finished with more black onyx, this time an elongated shape with a unique twist, each separated by sterling silver beads. A sterling silver hook clasp set finishes the lovely necklace.
