Filled with a hefty dose of sublime beauty, the LOTUS BUD handmade necklace is a perfect gift for the woman who practices yoga, meditates or just loves one of a kind jewelry. The meaningful necklace features a vintage Thai silver lotus bud pendant along with rainbow Keshi pearls, red garnet and sterling silver. The beautiful vintage amulet pendant, which is at least 40 years old, was crafted from fine silver by an artisan in Thailand. The raised design is of a lotus bud in an urn along with draping leaves, probably banana leaves. A rope design runs along the edge of the pendant. In Thailand, the lotus is a sacred flower and is a symbol of purity, faithfulness and spiritual awakening.  To perfectly complement the pendant, exquisite Keshi pearls and red garnet were used. Keshi pearls are natural, non-nucleated pearls and are normally found with an irregular shape. The Keshi pearls used in the necklace are absolutely stunning with their glowing peacock coloration of mainly shades of purples, greens, burgundy, and bronzes, often shifting color as the angle of the light changes. Except for the very beginning of the necklace on either side of the lotus bud amulet, the pearls are in groups of three. Between each Keshi pearl grouping is a group of natural garnet heishe in a rich dark red color. The heishe is hand cut so each piece is similar in size but not exactly the same. Small sterling silver beads separate the pearls from the garnet, adding bits of silver sheen to the necklace design. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the one of a kind LOTUS BUD necklace was created for the woman who loves meaningful, artisan designed jewelry.

The "Namaste" handmade necklace features an artisan created ceramic namaste pendant and colorful African Christmas trade beads - yoga jewelry for women.

Featuring a meaningfully simple porcelain ceramic focal, the one of a kind NAMASTE pendant necklace with colorful African Christmas beads is a perfect handmade gift for a woman who loves yoga, meditates or practices Buddhism. Roughly translated, “namaste” means “the divine in me bows to the divine in you,” recognizing we are all equals and are created from the One Divine Consciousness. The namaste pendant is artisan created from pale beige porcelain clay with the word “namaste” stamped into it, the individual letters highlighted with a matte brown glaze. The long oval shaped pendant was fired at high heat in a kiln to make it extremely strong and durable. Filled with the sacred sound of Om, the AUM handmade yoga pendant necklace features a solid brass pendant made by an artisan in Thailand, yellow aragonite gemstones and turquoise Czech glass discs. The brass Om pendant was given a dark patina to add an ancient feel and then polished to help bring out the incredible detailing. The Om symbol is centered in the middle of the pendant and is raised against the background, as is the granulated dot decoration around the edge of the pendant, adding beautiful texture. The back of the bronze pendant is silky smooth.

The Meaning of Om: 'Om,' 'Ohm' or 'Aum' is a sacred sound that is believed to be the sound of the universe. Om is all encompassing, the essence of ultimate reality and unifies everything in the universe. It is a syllable that is chanted either independently or before a mantra in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

The Om symbol in the middle of the brass pendant is raised against the background for beautiful texture.

To perfectly highlight the rich color of the bronze Om pendant, straw yellow aragonite gemstone rounds in two sizes and small turquoise color Czech glass beads were used. The aragonite shades from pale yellow to darker yellow.  Between each set of three larger aragonite beads are two small aragonite rounds with unexpected color between them: turquoise colored Czech glass discs. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the AUM necklace was created for the woman who loves one of a kind, spiritual jewelry.

Tibetan Conch Shell Copper Pendant Necklace & Earrings

- Buddhist Auspicious Symbol, Rudraksha Seeds -

This stylish Tibetan conch necklace and earrings jewelry set features a Nepalese coin pendant, organic rudraksha beads, carnelian rounds, crystal bicones, gold freshwater pearls, and a copper clasp. The pendant, a puffy tabular bead, was made by Tibetan refugees in Nepal and is constructed of base metal overlaid with copper and brass. The front is incised with a conch shell symbol, which is highly significant in both Buddhism and Hinduism. The rudraksha beads are particularly nice, with a shiny finish to them, and the carnelian confers a wonderful warmth that complements both the pendant and the organic beads. ABOUT THE CONCH SHELL SYMBOL
The conch one of the eight auspicious symbols ("Ashtamangala") in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. These shells are believed to bear and convey good fortune. In Buddhism, the symbol also represents royal gifts offered to Sakyamuni after his spiritual enlightenment and elevation to Buddha. In particular, the conch symbolizes the all-surrounding and interpenetrating sound of the dharma, or universal law, that stirs individuals awake from the sleep of ignorance so that they may pursue the Buddhist three-fold path for the good of all. (Dharma also means the teachings of the Buddha.)

ABOUT RUDRAKSHA SEEDS
These interesting and meaningful seeds come from a variety of evergreen in the foothills of the Himalayas and certain areas of Southeast Asia. The name Rudraksha is a compound word commonly translated as "Shiva's Tears." The name reflects the role of Shiva, a major Hindu god, in the etiology of the Rudraksha tree. These seeds are traditionally used as beads in Hindu and Buddhist malas (prayer beads).
