These distinctive long earrings of Czech table cut glass, Swarovski crystals and artisan crafted lampwork are perfect for the discerning woman who loves unique jewelry. The overall make of these earrings contains two handmade links which I have named "Painted Earth". For the first link I used sleek and smooth handcrafted lampwork glass beads made using opaque Painted Desert Odd glass by Vetrofond. This is a gorgeous streaky color that is unique and whimsical as a desert breeze and were handcrafted by Charlotte of Covergirlbeads.
Resting on top of the lampwork bead is a small Swarovski tanzanite crystal bicone topped with a tiny antique silver plated bead cap by TierraCast. Below the lampwork is another Swarovski crystal in a light smoky topaz shade. For the second link I cam across these wonderful Czech rose sandstone Picasso table-cut glass beads. The Czech Republic are masters of unique finishes. The glass bead is a streaked cream and pale lavender and the Picasso finish is a light brown. The glass bead is then polished to remove the Picasso finish which lets the underlying glass shine through. Truly an amazing piece of work. On top of the Czech table-cut glass bead I added another Swarovski crystal in a lovely tanzanite color. The entire earring dangle is hand-wrapped and attached to .925 sterling silver ear wires which have been embellished with a Swarovski crystal in light smoky topaz.
