Gold Peace Sign Earrings, Tierra Cast Pewter, Wire Wrapped Hoop Earrings

These earrings have a unique, one of a kind design using smooth and shiny gold plated hoop forms and bright gold plated TierraCast pewter peace sign charms. The charms are the same on both sides. The hoops are partially hand wire-wrapped with gold plated wire at the top and bottom portions. The peace sign charms dangle within the hoop. The lever back ear wires are gold plated.

The hoops alone measure 30 mm and the peace sign charms measure approximately 19 mm.
The earrings dangle 2 3/8” long from the lever back ear wires.

Earrings appear larger in photos than actual size. Please view all photos showing size compared to a quarter, a ruler and in a model's hand. The earrings also appear a little dark in the photos but are brighter in person.

I have made and sold several pairs of peace sign wire-wrapped hoop earrings in various colored metals. This listing shows the bright copper-plated earrings. The double-sided peace sign charms are copper-plated TierraCast pewter, and the formed hoops are antiqued copper-plated. The wire I used for wrapping around the hoop forms is a non-tarnish copper-plated wire. The lever-back style copper-plated earring wires match the bright copper throughout the earring design. In the 1960s the peace sign symbol was very popular. It symbolized not only peace but the spirit of love, and the service to humanity. Many people, particularly young adults, were involved in peaceful demonstrations against the Vietnam war. Along with tie-dyed clothing, peace sign jewelry remains a popular fashion statement today.
