 Wood Bead And Leather Cord Earrings

THE SINGING BEADER

As a jewelry maker, over time I accumulate a collection of left over supplies from other projects. In these earrings, I had some short lengths of reddish-brown leather cord and a few wooden beads in natural and tan-brown colors.

The wooden beads' large holes enabled me to string them on the leather cord then form the cord into hoop shapes. The beads move around on the cord, but dangle at the bottom of the hoops when wearing the earrings. The leather cord is crimped at the top with segmented copper pewter cord crimps. The jump rings and ball-post and clutch earrings are copper plated.

These earrings are perfect for someone who likes Bohemian-inspired jewelry or for one who is a hippie at heart.

The earrings appear larger in photos than the actual size. See all photos including those showing the size compared to a dime, a ruler, and in a model's hand.

The earrings dangle: 2 1/4”

Tan-brown wood beads: 6 mm x 8 mm

Natural wood beads: 6 mm x 9 mm

Leather cord: 1 1/2 mm thick

Dark Royal Blue Wooden Coin Disc Earrings

THE SINGING BEADER

These earrings are made using lightweight wooden double-sided coin-shaped discs, glass beads, and gemstones. The upper half of the wooden discs have a dark royal blue resin. The bottom half is natural teak wood. Above the wooden discs, I stacked a hand-wired section of Czech glass beads, sodalite gemstones, and Czech glass rondells. The sodalite gemstones' dark blue color matches the discs perfectly. The Czech glass beads have a gorgeous color marble mix of dark blue, orange-red, and clear. The Czech rondells are cobalt blue and caramel-colored. The earrings have sterling silver lever-back ear wires.

The 10 photos include a close-up of the beads and size and length of the earrings with a quarter and a ruler.

These spectacular, one-of-a-kind, handmade earrings are fun to wear. They are suitable for one who likes lightweight and longer length earrings with a bold look. A colorful organza gift pouch is included to use for either storage or to present as a gift.
