This argentium sterling silver wire wrapped pendant is handmade with a beautiful pear-shaped  dichroic glass cabochon.  The dichroic cabochon has a black base with violet dots and bits of brilliant fuchsia pink in the center.  The dots show an amazing range of color-shifting hues that range from deep purple to light violet with hints of blue.  The cabochon is sparkly and fascinating.
 The cabochon for this pendant was capped with clear glass and fully fused in the kin at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit to create a smooth  gem with deeply embedded color and design.  It was then shaped and returned to the kiln for fire polishing.  The glass was carefully annealed to produce an enduring cabochon.
The wire wrapping on this pendant is of argentium sterling silver, which is a high grade sterling silver that resists tarnish.  It has been polished to a brilliant shine and wrapped to show off the unusual pear shape of the glass.  This pendant will hang like a beautiful droplet from the wire bail.  The silver contrasts beautifully with the dark cabochon.
The pendant measures barely 2 inches tall and an inch at the widest point  (5cm x 2.5 cm).   It will look nice with a variety of different necklaces.  Necklace options are offered in the necklace section of this shop.  This offering is for the pendant only.
