Whenever you wear these beautifully rustic COBALT TEARDROPS earrings, you’ll be amazed at how they absolutely glow! Sweet and petite, the one of a kind, handmade earrings were created with cobalt blue Czech glass teardrops, Mykonos bead caps with a turquoise patina and turquoise Czech glass tricut beads. The eye catching teardrops were made from premium translucent cobalt blue glass in the Czech Republic. To add textural interest, the teardrops are ridged which catches the light, highlighted along the ridges as the earrings dangle and sway. The cobalt teardrops were gently tumbled, adding a few “pits” and “scratches" and then coated with an earthy Picasso finish in lichen green and pale gray to give an aged look to the drops.  A bead cap handmade by artists on the Greek island of Mykonos can be found on the bottom of each cobalt teardrop. The bead caps are made from lead free pewter that were plated with copper. A wonderful turquoise patina brings out the details of the swirled texture of the caps. Since the bead caps were handmade, they are very similar but not exactly the same. Another pop of turquoise color is found with a tricut Czech bead, separated by a small sterling bead, placed above the teardrops. “Tricut” means there are three facets on the beads adding subtle sparkle. The turquoise beads also have a Picasso finish, this time on a rich brown brown.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the COBALT TEARDROPS earrings are a perfect gift for the woman who loves wearing gorgeous smaller earrings that add a huge impact!
