An exquisite jewelry gift for the woman who adores the majesty of horses, the LOS CABALLOS handmade necklace features an artisan created, one of a kind mare and foal pendant with freshwater pearls in two colors and shapes. The unique pendant, a small work of art, was created from two-toned polymer clay, a sparkly pearly white on top and a shimmering light barn red on the bottom. The horses were drawn free hand with India ink. The larger mare was painted with copper and gold inks while the smaller foal was colored black with India ink. The pendant was sealed with an acrylic finish, but the artist asks that the pendant be limited to water exposure.  The pendant glistens and glimmers as the light hits it at different angles, something the photos can’t show.  To perfectly complement the amazing horses pendant, two colors and shapes of glowing freshwater pearls were used - the luster of these pearls are absolutely amazing. Coppery bronze pearls make up most of the main body of the necklace. Since they are baroque pearls, providing wonderful texture to the design, each pearl is different in size and shape with some having a flat side. For added eye appeal, a round brown pearl was added between each grouping of five baroque pearls. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the LOS CABALLOS handmade necklace was created for the woman who loves unique artisan horse jewelry. “Los caballos” is Spanish for “the horses.”
