Filled with a calming oriental inspired vintage look, the DRAGONFLY DAYS handmade earrings are perfect to wear on those rich, glorious days of autumn. The unique earrings feature artisan dragonflies on copper charms and speckled amber brown lampwork glass beads, also artisan created. The lovely square-shaped dragonfly charms look as if they were cut from old, weathered cookie or tea tins. But they only mimic rustic vintage tins since they were individually artisan hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper. A permanent metal transfer was applied and then the charms were sealed for long wear. Two dragonflies, one larger and one smaller, fly against a background of bamboo and a rising sun. The colors of the dangles are absolutely drenched with fall hues and have an oriental flair. Since the dangles were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add a wonderful rustic vibe. The back of the dangles are smooth, shiny copper which will gradually gain a glowing patina over time. Because the charms are made from copper, the earrings are very lightweight to wear.  To highlight the dragonflies charms, glowing lampwork glass beads were added. The individually artisan handmade lampwork beads started out as clear glass, but when still molten, a brown frit sprinkled on to add an eye catching amber glow with brown speckles.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the DRAGONFLY DAYS earrings are a perfect jewelry gift idea for the woman who adores dragonflies and loves to wear one of a kind artisan earrings.
