Filled with bright red floral charm, the RED POPPIES earrings are perfect to wear not only during the Christmas holidays, but also can be worn all year long. The one of a kind earrings feature artisan created rich red poppy charms with a vintage botanical look and sparkling red Swarovski crystals in two sizes and shapes. The eye catching poppy charms look as if they were upcycled from old cookie or tea tins. But they only mimic rustic vintage tins since they were individually hand cut, filed and sanded from modern copper. A permanent metal transfer was applied for the faux tin look and then the charms were sealed for years of wearing pleasure. The stars of the earrings are the individual red poppies with contrasting black centers that are found on each charm. A stem rises up from the left corner along with a poppy bud. On the right side, a Victorian architectural detail is found. Since the dangles were individually handmade, there are slight differences which add wonderful rustic vibes. Because the charms are made from copper, the earrings are very lightweight to wear. All Christmas jewelry (or year round jewelry for that matter!) needs more than a bit of incredible sparkle. To add that to the poppy earrings, two sizes and shapes of Swarovski crystals were stacked above the charms, separated by rustic copper daisy spacers. The color of the crystals is called “Siam,” a rich shade of translucent dark red. - Large Swarovski crystals: faceted 6 mm “Siam” red rounds
- Small Swarovski crystals: faceted 4 mm “Siam” red bicones
- Metal: copper and sterling silver
- Earwires: sterling silver French hooks with copper bead accents
- Length: just over 2” / 5.1 cm measured from the top curve of the earwires
