Perfect jewelry for the dog lover, the meaningful, one of a kind MY FOUR FOOTED FRIEND handmade necklace features an artisan red copper paw print pendant, blue sodalite gemstones and copper beads. The unique pendant was cut from copper sheet metal and then textured using a technique called “repousse” (pounding the back of the metal from the reverse to give it form). A lovely raised paw print is found on the front of the square pendant including the four toe pads and the metacarpal pad. The back of the pendant shows the recessed paw print. A raised frame was soldered around the paw print and a round bail was attached at the top. To get the glorious red orange copper color, a patination formula was brushed on and then fired at high what with a torch. So the colors don’t fade and for years of wearing pleasure, the pendant was brushed with a metal lacquer sealant. A thick copper jump ring securely fastens the paw print pendant to the main body of the necklace.  To perfectly complement the colors of the dog paw print pendant, rich blue sodalite rounds were used. Sodalite is a beautiful gemstone that ranges in shades from a midnight blue to a very pale blue, sometimes with white veining. The sodalite used in the necklace is mainly a medium blue with some darker and lighter blue beads, The finish of the gemstones is a medium shine, not high gloss and not matte, but somewhere in-between. Copper bicone beads add a wonderful gleam and break up the sodalite into alternate groups of five stones and three stones. A sleek copper toggle clasp set finishes the paw print necklace. Dog Paw Print Rescued Necklace, Purple Goldstone Handmade Jewelry Gift

The "Rescued" handmade necklace features a two-sided pewter dog print and rescued pendant, purple goldstone and Swarovski crystals - meaningful dog jewelry for women.

If you are looking for the perfect piece of meaningful jewelry for a dog lover, especially a woman who has one or more rescues, then the RESCUED necklace is perfect for her! The necklace features a two-sided lead free pewter pendant, glittering dark purple goldstone rounds, sparkling Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. The eye catching pendant mimics a rustic wax seal design, cast from lead free pewter in the U.S. The front side of the pendant spotlights a raised dog paw print, while, on the opposite side, the word “Rescued” is stamped on a raised bar. The pendant was oxidized and then polished. The raised areas of the paw print and the “rescued” word have a beautiful old silver look especially highlighted against the darker oxidized background.  One either side of the paw print pendant are three mega-sparkle faceted Swarovski crystal bicones in a captivating translucent violet color called “tanzanite.” The crystals are separated by small sterling silver beads. Three more tanzanite crystals can be found on each side of the necklace separating groupings of the purple goldstone. What is goldstone? Unfortunately, goldstone is often mistaken for or misrepresented as a natural gemstone. It is a type of glittering glass, usually coppery in color (due to copper oxides added to the glass), made in a low-oxygen reducing atmosphere. Purple goldstone gets its glittery color from manganese oxide, the sparkles are silvery against the rich purple of the glass. If you look closely at the photos, you can see the “sparkles”, the white dots in many of the dark purple beads. When held in good light, the silvery sparkles look like a multitude of stars in a night sky. The unique necklace is finished with a sterling silver toggle clasp set with a triangular shape. Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the RESCUED necklace was created for the woman who adores and is proud of her rescue dog(s).

Faithful Dog Rescue Necklace, Pewter Jasper Red Coral Handmade Jewelry

The "Faithful" handmade necklace features a two sided pewter faithful dog pendant, red coral, Picasso jasper and sterling silver - meaningful gift for women.

The one of a kind FAITHFUL necklace is a perfect piece of handmade jewelry to gift a woman who loves dogs, especially if her dog(s) is a rescue. The meaningful design features a two sided, lead free pewter dog pendant with a rustic, wax seal stamp style. Brilliant red coral nuggets and earthy Picasso jasper highlight the dog pendant perfectly. The star of the one of a kind necklace is the lead free pewter dog pendant. It has a wonderfully rustic look to it since it was patterned after wax seal stamps that were once used to secure letters and documents. The pendant is two-sided. The front features a raised dog design with the word “faithful” above it. The backside has the word FAITHFUL on a raised sign. To lend a vintage feel, the charm was coated with a dark patina and then polished, leaving the raised areas shiny to bring out the lovely detail. The dog pendant is connected to the main body of the necklace with a heavy duty, sterling silver jump ring.

The lead free pewter pendant is cast in an old wax seal design, giving a lovely rustic look to it.

To highlight the dog pendant, bright red coral nuggets and earthy colored Picasso jasper gemstones was used. Three pieces of red coral were used on each side of where the pendant connects and is then placed in groups of two with a jasper round separating them. The color of the Picasso jasper rounds range in shades of brown, from a light tan to darker browns, some with hints of gray. Some stones are part light in color and part dark, some with darker lines of matric running through them. Separating the red coral from the jasper are small, glowing sterling silver beads. The meaningful necklace is finished with a small toggle clasp set. The loop has five lines etched into the top and the bar is flared at the end. Created for the woman who cares for and loves dogs deeply, the unique FAITHFUL necklace was carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.
