Your ears will receive a glorious jolt of color when you wear these eye catching PINK AND PERFECT bubblegum pink lampwork glass and sterling silver dangle earrings.  The handmade earrings feature lampwork beads that were individually artisan created in a fun bubblegum pink color. To add interest, texture and glow, the unique beads were wrapped in fine silver, causing raised dots of silver to appear along the equator of the beads. Sterling silver daisy spacers cap the top and bottom of the beads.  To add more than a large dose of silver sheen to enhance the look of the fine silver dots, three different sizes of sterling silver beads were stacked on top of the pink lampwork beads: 4 mm, 3 mm and 2 mm.  The earrings are ideal to wear with your faded jeans and white shirt or with your favorite dress up frock. The "Spiral Hands" handmade earrings feature Mykonos healer's hand spiral charms, artisan lampwork beads and Czech glass - unique jewelry for her.

The meaningful healer’s hand with a spiral in the palm used in the SPIRAL HANDS handmade earrings is believed to be a powerful symbol of protection and healing. The small, two-sided spiral healer’s hand charms used in the one of a kind earrings are copper over pewter and were made on the island of Mykonos in Greece by artisans. The rustic hands were given an aqua turquoise patina to add a look of ageless beauty to them. The charms hang as mirror images and, since they are two-sided, they look fabulous from any angle when the petite earrings are worn.  To perfectly complement the turquoise patina of the spiral healer’s hands, artisan clear lampwork glass beads with aqua speckles and spots were above each hand.  Stacked above each lampwork bead is a copper disc spacer and two types of Czech glass beads:  a glass disc in a lovely translucent pink rose color with a metallic silver Picasso finish and a petite ridged melon bead in a turquoise blue green color with an earthy metallic brick red and silver Picasso finish.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the SPIRAL HANDS earrings were created for the woman who loves symbolic jewelry and loves to wear smaller earrings.

Shiny opaque grigio verde gray green handmade lampwork beads with a metallic band and a shiny glass bead finish.

These beautiful handmade glass beads were made using a gorgeous gray green glass called grigio verde. It is a rich and luscious grayish glass that can create shades of green. They have a double helix aurae metallic band. Aurae is a very expensive glass that is honey colored and produces the beautiful metallic sheen when worked in the flame. I am getting some beautiful effects with it as you can see. I also have a variety of example photos showing the different colors of gray green achieved. These metallic band beads have a shiny glass bead finish.

Rustic Runes Earrings, Handmade Blue Ceramic Purple Lampwork Jewelry

The rustic Dawn of Time handmade earrings features ancient looking rune ceramic discs, artisan  speckled lampwork glass and Swarovski crystals - unique jewelry for women.

The rustic terracotta ceramic discs and speckled lampwork beads used as the focals of the DAWN OF TIME handmade earrings look as if they have spent eons lying in an ancient site, just waiting to be unearthed and worn again. The not perfectly circular ceramic disc beads are individually artisan crafted with seven individual rune symbols in a raised design on the front side. The back side has no runes and is slightly rounded. The rune discs were matte glazed with a lovely dusty blue color with just a hint of lavender. Perfectly highlighting the ceramic discs are rich, velvety finish lampwork glass beads that started out with a base of dark turquoise blue glass. Over that, violet purple glass was speckled - some of the specks are dark purple and some are lighter in color.  A luscious “tanzanite” purple Swarovski crystal adds great sparkle.  The unique DAWN OF TIME earrings were carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs for the woman who appreciates one of a kind, artisan jewelry.

The artisan made rustic ceramic discs with a rune design  have a powdery blue matte glaze that complements the runes perfectly.

Voodoo Skull Halloween Earrings, Black Silver Calavera Handmade Jewelry

The "Voodoo Skulls" handmade earrings featured black and silver skull beads and Swarovski crystals dangles - fun Halloween and Day of the Dead jewelry for women.

The VOODOO SKULLS handmade earrings are part whimsical, part scary, and absolutely 100% fun!  They are perfect for Halloween, Day of the Dead or any time you have a need to wear unique skull jewelry. The oval shaped calavera skull beads were created from jet black glass in the Czech Republic and given a silky matte finish. To add an aged look and to bring out the recessed designs of the eyes (one a spiral and the other a starburst), nose, mouth and spots on the jaw, a metallic silver Picasso finish was applied. Since the fanciful voodoo skulls are two sided, the earrings look perfect from any angle.  Jet black Swarovski crystals were wire wrapped to the end of three lengths of sterling silver chain to hang under the skulls for great sparkle sparkle and movement.   The sterling chain is different lengths for eye appeal.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the unique VOODOO SKULLS earrings were created for the woman who loves fun, skull jewelry.

The fun voodoo Czech skulls were created from matte black glass with a silver metallic Picasso finish to bring out the details.

Fossil Shell Turritella Agate Earrings

- Tridacna Beads, Spiral Accent, Boho Chic Jewelry -

These unique fossil shell earrings feature turritella agate beads, tridacna white rounds, rhodium-on-pewter hoops, and sterling silver earring hooks. The turritella beads are agatized snail-shell fossils cut in the form of puffed ovals. Their mineralized remains represent creatures that lived over 40 million years ago, and each bead has its own individual pattern of shapes. The two focals of these earrings are therefore not identical, but they are perfect complements for each other.

To enhance these wonderful focals, I selected another treasure from the sea: tridacna shell beads. Processed from the shells of giant clams, tridacna is supposedly the whitest substance in the world and makes a nice match with the fossil beads, bringing out their lighter patterns. The hammered rhodium-on-pewter (by Tierracast, made in USA), suggest circlets of moving water, and I chose them to deepen the conceptual aspect and design of the earrings.

This earthy elegant pair measures 2.25 inches in length and also includes:
• Sterling silver rondelle spacer beads (made in Italy)
• Silver-plated pins with my handcrafted spirals
• Sterling silver jump rings in two sizes
• Sterling silver earring wires with bead accents

A unique and thought-provoking example of wearable history, these turritella fossil and tridacna earrings would make a fantastic gift for anyone who loves paleontology and geology or who simply finds fossils and the primeval world interesting and meaningful. They were designed and handmade beaded by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for their destined wearer. They come on a PrettyGonzo earrings card and gift-wrapped in a nice organza bag, all set for giving to someone special—perhaps yourself!

ABOUT TURRITELLA AGATE
This agate is a brown stone embedded with the white to tan fossilized shells of snails that lived over 40 million years ago. The name of this type of agate is a misnomer: Turritella was an ancient marine snail, but the fossils here are mineralized freshwater snails. A type of chalcedony, and thus a member of the quartz family, turritella agate is traditionally considered a stone of healing and wisdom. Some people see it as a talisman—a protective stone—and source of strength. Probably because it holds the vestiges of ancient life, Turritella also is considered a stone of survival. Today, most agate of this kind is mined in Wyoming.

ABOUT TRIDACNA BEADS
These beads are made from the shell of a giant marine clam in the tridacna family of mollusks. Tridacna is considered the whitest substance on Earth and is very strong. Beads of this type of shell were popular in the ancient kingdoms of China. They are sometimes used in Tibetan Buddhist mala beads. Some people believe that tridacna confers a calming effect on its wearer, helping to balance out instability between the mind and body.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONES
• Magnesite - This is a porous white mineral, which makes it a good choice for color enhancing. Traditionally, it is regarded as a power stone that has a calming effect on its wearer and that can foster the imagination, creative visualization, and self-esteem.

• Carnelian - A rich and regal-looking gemstone, carnelian has been used for jewelry since ancient times. It is associated with healing, courage building, fear dispelling, and protection against negative forces (as a talisman).

• Agate - Also valued since ancient times, agate is considered a protective stone that relieves stress and fosters a courageous spirit. Reputedly, it helps to increase self-esteem, decrease inner anger, promote harmony, and nurture calm and forgiveness. Agate is also  regarded as a lucky stone and boost to creativity!
