Shiny southwestern ivory handmade lampwork glass beads with turquoise and dark brown bands.

These festive handmade lampwork beads were made using dark ivory glass. I added some dark turquoise and dark brown stripes or bands around to them give them an old west or southwestern style. These organic beads have a shiny glass bead finish.

The stripes will vary in width and pattern from bead to bead making each bead an original work of art.

Virgin Mary Necklace, Catholic Bless This Woman Cross Handmade Jewelry

The "Blessed Mother" handmade necklace features a symbolic, two-sided Virgin Mary pewter pendant, blue sodalite gemstones and light blue Swarovski crystals - jewelry for a Catholic woman.

The BLESSED MOTHER handmade necklace, featuring a meaningful two sided Virgin Mary pendant, is a perfect jewelry gift for the woman of Catholic faith. Blue sodalite gemstones and Swarovski crystals were added to highlight the pendant, which was cast from high quality, lead free pewter right here in the U.S.  On one side of the pendant is an intricately detailed Blessed Virgin Mary in front of a budded cross with trailing roses.  The opposite side is inscribed with “Bless This Woman” along with an Our Lady’s Cushion flower. The pendant was heavily oxidized and the polished to bring out the raised detail, the details being shinier than what the photos show.  Because of Mary’s feminine beauty and divine nature, blue (a color long associated with Mary) sodalite gemstone rounds in two sizes were used.  To add sparkle, faceted light sapphire blue Swarovski crystal bicones were added, three on each side.  Carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs, the BLESSED MOTHER is a special necklace for the woman who adores unique, one of a kind Christian jewelry and has a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

The back side of the pendant has a raised "Bless This Woman" banner and a raised Our Lady's Cushion flower.

*** Here is the religious symbolism I was able to identify in the pendant:

• The Virgin Mary: the Divine Mother, the Mother of Jesus/God
• Budded cross: the three “buds” on each end of the cross represent the Holy Trinity
• Roses: known as the “queen of flowers”, roses represent Mary as Queen of Heaven.
• Our Lady’s Cushion: also known the sea-pink (thrift) was said to have formed cushions for Mary to sit on during the flight into Egypt.
• “Bless This Woman”: Mary is believed, through prayers, to intercede for people who are experiencing sorrows

Blue sodalite gemstones in two sizes and sparkling Swarovski crystals perfectly complement the meaningful pendant.

Imagine your baby boy dressed in this blue and gray striped vest. I hand knit this adorable vest with acrylic baby yarn. The stripe pattern is blue and gray with the collar, sleeves, and hem trimmed in gray. This vest is for a 6-18-month-old.

The neck of the vest is 8 inches which is a 16-inch circumference. The doll in the picture has a head size of 15 inches. I used a stretchy bind off to give a little extra stretch. Give this vest to a baby for a birthday or Christmas gift, or give as a baby shower gift.

Imagine Peace Leather Statement Necklace

- Tribal Boho Style with Colorful Greek Beads -

This inspirational "Imagine" statement necklace is a boho tribal-style handmade creation that brings together an artisan-made stamped word pendant, colorful Mykonos ceramic beads, green aventurine saucers, and shiny pewter spacers. The pendant, which was made in the USA, features stamped images of a purple dragonfly, a green road moving to a distant horizon, and a big yellow sun rising over that horizon. Of course, the inspirational message here recalls John Lennon's beautiful song of hope, and makes this one-of-a-kind necklace an uplifting gift for anyone who is a dreamer of unity and peace.

The Mykonos ceramic beads were made in Greece and comes in two shape varieties: tube and washer. The washers are bright purple, and the tubes are yellow, forest green, and light green. All the colors link in some way to the pendant's colors: purple to the dragonfly, yellow to the sun, forest green to the road, and light green to the pendant itself. The pewter beads include daisy spacers, beads with etched sunburst designs, and a large leaf-decorated focal above the pendant, bordered with smooth rondelles. All these beads, pewter and ceramic, are combined in a way that complements the pendant.
 

This peace-theme necklace also includes:
• Aventurine saucer beads
• Large stainless steel jump ring
• Genuine brown leather cord
• Genuine brown deerskin lace
• Pewter cord ends
• Pewter protective evil eye bead
• Stainless steel 2-inch extender chain
• Stainless steel lobster clasp

The leather cord and deerskin lace were made in the USA. The deerskin lace is used for a two-strand tassel at the end of the extender chain. The leather cord is glued into the cord ends with Loctite adhesive (it is the only spot in the necklace that I have used glue). The basic length of this inspirational boho creation is approximately 22 inches without the pendant, and 24 inches with the pendant.

Uniting the two design styles of hippie tribal retro and boho, this "Imagine" statement necklace was handmade beaded by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes in an eco-friendly box, all set for gift giving to someone who values the dream of world unity and who cherishes John Lennon's timeless song. Perhaps that someone will be you!

Perfect as a summer necklace, this green coral necklace makes a unique statement. The big bold chunky necklace is adjustable with the addition of the 3 inch gold plate chain. Baby Girl Dress, Original Design, 3-6 months, Gift for Baby

Dress your baby girl in this adorable sundress for casual occasions. I hand knit this dress, an original design by Cathy Morgan of CraftingMemories1, with pink acrylic yarn. This dress is size 3 to 6 months. The length is for a tunic but would probably look more like a dress on a 3-month-old.

The front of the dress has an adorable flower motif. The petals of the flower are made with bobbles. Bobbles are small round shapes that stand out a little more than the rest of the pattern. The bottom of the dress has large ruffles that remind me of pleats in a cheerleader’s skirt. The ruffle was the idea that started the pattern for a little girl’s dress. The other sections just seem to work well with the ruffle.

Eiffel Tower "La Vie en Rose" Paris Earrings

- Rose Charms & Swarovski Rose Pink Crystals -

Any Paris lover will find these Eiffel Tower earrings a fun and pretty pair of boho chic dangles. Their design was inspired by the song "La Vie en Rose," made famous by Edith Piaf, a vocalist known during her lifetime as France's national chanteuse. To bring the song to mind, I used lovely rose charms and Swarovski rose pink bicone crystals. The focals of the earrings present an image of the Eiffel Tower superimposed over a miniature postcard decorated with Victorian-style roses.

These are artisan-made focals and were created from design paper and artboard and then finished with a sealer. The picture appears only on the front. The focals are lightweight, with a thickness of just under 2mm. Be aware that they are not suitable for water activites or the shower, and that bending them will leave a crease in them. When cared for properly, they will continue to provide you with a beautifully unique, one-of-a-kind pair of earrings.

The rose charms are made from silver-tone metal and are finely detailed on both the front and back. They hang from silver-filled jump rings under the focals, which in turn hang from dangles with large Swarovski crystals. Shiny sterling silver rondelles flank each crystal. Also included are sterling silver earring hooks, which I decorated with small Swarovski rose crystals to add an extra touch of boho elegance. The length here is 2.5 inches, including the ear hooks.

Uniquely cheerful, fun, and meaningful to anyone who loves "The City of Light," these earrings are sure to please with their inspirational remembrance of Paris and its most popular monument, the Eiffel Tower. Handmade beaded by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for their destined wearer, they come on a PrettyGonzo card and wrapped in a sweet organiza bag, all set for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself!

ABOUT "LA VIE EN ROSE"
Written in 1945, this song was first made popular by Edith Piaf, who composed the lyrics. (Louiguy is credited with the music.) A simple song, it expresses how falling in love makes the world seem like a beautiful place, as if you are seeing everything through rose-colored glasses.

Although the song was regarded as a minor piece by Piaf's peers, it became a concert staple for Piaf after WWII. Soon her recordings of it were selling well in other countries, including the United States, where over the million copies were sold. Many singing stars in the United States recorded an English lyrics version of the song, including Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, and Donna Summer. However, "La Vie en Rose" remains the signature song of Edith Piaf.

The cheerful "Dazzling Daisies" handmade earrings feature artisan stoneware daisy fan dangles, artisan orange lampwork beads, horn discs and faceted Czech glass beads - fun jewelry for women.

You'll definitely want to add the DAZZLING DAISIES boho earrings to your collection of artisan jewelry if you have a love for cheerful flowers.  The fun and flirty artisan earrings feature individually made stoneware triangular fans with a lovely daisy pattern that has a watercolor feel. The summery colors used to create the daisies are a warm reddish brown for the ends of the petals and rich yellow with a squiggle of red orange for the florals disc at the top of the fan.  To perfectly highlight the colors of the daisy fans, a rich medium orange, artisan lampwork glass bead was wire wrapped above each flower. Tan Bronze and White Seed Bead Wire Wrapped Hoop Earrings

THE SINGING BEADER

These unique seed bead earrings are wire-wrapped into a hoop shape using a hard bronze colored wire. The bronze, golden tan and iridescent white seed beads are added during the wire wrapping process using a “Gizmo” tool. The earrings have antiqued brass lever back ear wires for pierced ears.

Large, bold earrings like these are trending right now! These look great with several wardrobe colors, including tan, beige, brown and cream.

Celtic Knot Triquestra Boho Dangle Earrings

- Amethyst, Carnelian, Rainforest Jasper Gemstones -

These earthy Celtic knot gemstone earrings are inspired by the Irish countryside and perfect for gift giving to anyone who loves Ireland. Their boho chic styling gives them a nice versatility for dressy or casual wear. The main feature of these handmade dangles are two oval rainforest jasper beads, one on each earring. This gemstone has variations in color shading as well as inclusions of quartz and other minerals; thus each bead is a one-of-a-kind creation of Mother Nature. These two beads complement each other well and are interesting in their patterning.

Under the jasper ovals dangle the Celtic knot charms, small but shiny and beautifully detailed with a triple loop eternal knot, also known as a triquestra or Celtic triad. Above the ovals are faceted amethyst and faceted carnelian beauties.
