They are part of my earth series and filled with colors found in nature. Each handmade polymer clay bead has been created using earthy chalks and mounted on long dangles with added accent beads and silvertone findings. I added lampwork glass to these polymer clay earrings.

Black White Necklace, Classy Chunky Gemstone Jewelry Quartzite Jade

Mint Green Amazonite Gemstone And Sterling Silver Necklace Bracelet Earrings Set

This chunky amazonite gemstone necklace, bracelet, and earrings set are just what you are looking for if you like a bold statement look. The large size amazonite gemstones are accented with an abundance of .925 sterling silver beads throughout all three pieces of jewelry. All other findings used to create this set are sterling silver. Purchase the entire set or individual pieces with the drop-down menu. 

The amazonite gemstones have a glorious light mint green color and are smooth to the touch. These are high-quality stones without pits or scarring. A few of the stones have their natural markings of darker colors. The color of the gemstones can vary depending on the lighting in the room or outdoors, from mint-green to mint-blue.

Adjustable - sterling silver extension chain: 16" to 19" (40.6cm - 48.2cm) - This is a rather short necklace to be worn with a low neckline (scooped top).

Lotus Flower Glass & Crystal Earrings

- Blue Lampwork Artisan Beads, Carved Bone -

  

These unique lotus flower earrings are a lovely union of carved bone and blue lampwork glass beads with pink-toned crystals and sterling silver components. The bone lotus beads are a creamy color with nice hand-carved petals. The lampwork beads are rondelle-shaped, with an etched surface that gives them the look of sea glass. They were made by talented artisan Charlotte Hayes of CoverGirlBeads. I chose them to represent the blue celestial skies reflected in the waters on which the lotus flowers would float.

The pink-toned crystals are Swarovski padparadscha bicones. Their pink hue has hints of orange—a color combination based on that of a rare sapphire. The word "padparadscha" is derived from the Sanskrit "padma raga," which means "hue similar to lotus flower." Crystals of this color are thus very fitting for lotus bead earrings!

Also included in these Buddhist inspired earrings are the following:
• Sterling silver rondelles and head pins
• Sterling bead caps and daisy spacers
• Swarovski AB crystal bicones
• Sterling silver hooks and ear guards

For an extra touch of elegance, and to enhance the lotus flower's symbolic meaning of spiritual illumination, I decorated the front of the hooks with the AB finished crystals. (For more about the lotus flower as a symbol, please see below.) The length of this pair is approximately 2 inches, including the ear hooks.

These wonderful earrings were handmade by me with great care, thought, and best wishes for their destined wearer. They come on a PrettyGonzo earring card and in a nice organza bag, all wrapped and ready for gifting to someone special—perhaps yourself!

About the Symbol of the Lotus Flower

As beautiful in meaning as it is in form, the lotus is one of our most positive symbols. It holds significance for anyone undergoing life changes, working toward inner peace, or dealing with life's many struggles.

There are many types of natural lotus plants, but the symbolic variety is typically the white or pink lotus that carries spiritual importance in India and Asiatic countries. In Hinduism, this aquatic flower often serves as a seat or platform for divinities such as Vishnu and Ganesh; in Buddhism, it provides a seat for bodhisattvas. Lotuses adorn headdresses and crowns in the iconography of these religions. In Tibetan scroll paintings (thangkas), they often float through skies or on rivers. Divinities and bodhisattvas often hold them as if they were precious jewels, and indeed, in meaning, the lotus is the most precious jewel of all.

The key to this meaning is the purity and beauty of the blossom despite its origins from a seed embedded in the mud of the water's bed below. Despite the world of illusion and egocentric desires (symbolized by the mud), awareness, growth, and transformation are possible (symbolized by the blossom). The lotus thus represents spiritual flowering and attainment—a great awakening from the dark, shadowy regions of ignorance and misunderstanding into the illumination of truth, beauty, and wisdom.

The 12th Annual El Paso Artists Studio Tour starts this Saturday!  Over 40 artists at 19 studios will participate, bringing unique art to art lovers . . . and also food, drink, and in some instances, entertainment. The Studio Tour takes place over the course of two weekends:

El Paso’s Westside and Upper Valley is Saturday, April 27 (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday, April 28 (noon - 5 pm).

El Paso’s East, Central, Downton, Northeast and Mission Valley is Saturday, May 4 (10 am - 5 pm) and Sunday, May 5 (noon - 5 pm).

Three Strand Swarovski Light Pink Pearl And Dark Pink Crystal Necklace

THE SINGING BEADER

Designed by The Singing Beader, this necklace has three glorious strands of Swarovski round Rosaline pink pearls, Swarovski Indian pink round faceted crystals, and round sterling silver beads. Two of the strands on this triple strand necklace is linked by hand with non-tarnish silver wire. The middle strand is beaded with beading wire. The upper part of the necklace has a sturdy silver plated chain. The chain fastens with an antiqued silver pewter ornate style hook clasp. Sterling silver three strand connectors along with sterling silver crimp covers and wire guardians were used to complete the attachment to the chain. See the length of necklace and size of pearls, crystals and sterling silver beads below.

The color of the Rosaline pearls is a light "frosty" pink. On the two linked strands, each of these pearl beads is adored in silver filigree bead caps. The middle strand, which is beaded, has the Indian pink crystals and sterling silver rounds. The color Indian pink is a deep or dark pink color.

Necklace length: Shortest strand 22”, longest strand 23 1/4”

(necklace can be adjusted to a shorter length by hooking clasp into any of the chain links).

Faithful Dog Rescue Necklace, Pewter Jasper Red Coral Handmade Jewelry

The "Faithful" handmade necklace features a two sided pewter faithful dog pendant, red coral, Picasso jasper and sterling silver - meaningful gift for women.

The one of a kind FAITHFUL necklace is a perfect piece of handmade jewelry to gift a woman who loves dogs, especially if her dog(s) is a rescue. The meaningful design features a two sided, lead free pewter dog pendant with a rustic, wax seal stamp style. Brilliant red coral nuggets and earthy Picasso jasper highlight the dog pendant perfectly. The star of the one of a kind necklace is the lead free pewter dog pendant. It has a wonderfully rustic look to it since it was patterned after wax seal stamps that were once used to secure letters and documents. The pendant is two-sided. The front features a raised dog design with the word “faithful” above it. The backside has the word FAITHFUL on a raised sign. To lend a vintage feel, the charm was coated with a dark patina and then polished, leaving the raised areas shiny to bring out the lovely detail. The dog pendant is connected to the main body of the necklace with a heavy duty, sterling silver jump ring.

***  Please note:  when sold, one half (1/2) of the purchase price of the FAITHFUL necklace will be donated to an animal rescue group to care for the four footed souls waiting for their furever home.

The lead free pewter pendant is cast in an old wax seal design, giving a lovely rustic look to it.

To highlight the dog pendant, bright red coral nuggets and earthy colored Picasso jasper gemstones was used. Three pieces of red coral were used on each side of where the pendant connects and is then placed in groups of two with a jasper round separating them. The color of the Picasso jasper rounds range in shades of brown, from a light tan to darker browns, some with hints of gray. Some stones are part light in color and part dark, some with darker lines of matric running through them. Separating the red coral from the jasper are small, glowing sterling silver beads. The meaningful necklace is finished with a small toggle clasp set. The loop has five lines etched into the top and the bar is flared at the end. Created for the woman who cares for and loves dogs deeply, the unique FAITHFUL necklace was carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs.

I have combined parts of two necklaces, a ceramic yellow rose pin, and cream colored faux pearls to create a beautiful assemblage jewelry necklace.
